Honestly, i felt so many emotions watching this, i didn't like Ye Xiwu the first half or so of the drama. Tantai Jin is the most understanding character in this show. Despite all he went through in the hands of the world and in the hands of Ye Xiwu, he still chose to believe that Ye Xiwu did all the things for his sake, and chose to believe that he sacrificed a lot for him. I dont think he made many sacrifices for him, except the part where he removed the devil bone and placed it in herself. Thats the real and only sacrifice she made. This is my own opinion though.

This is the first tragic drama that I'm not sad or feeling bitter sweet because of the ending. He suffered so much in the hands of the society yet chose to sacrifice everything for that same society.

I dont know how to explain this, but i feel that the world doesn't deserve him living in it. He is too better for the world, hence him choosing to leave the world is much better than living in such a evil world.

Ye Xiwu also doesnt deserve him too, even though she loved him, his love was greater than hers. I feel good seeing that he left her all alone in this world. She spent so much time thinking about killing a person who hasnt done evil yet instead of appreciating and loving him. I hated her self righteous act which was not so selfrighteous.

I cant give this drama a 10, or rewatch it ever.

Black Rose Needs a Small Hug!

"Till the End of the Moon" is a uniquely compelling drama, adapted from “Black Moon Holds a BE Script” by Teng Luo and Wei Zhi. This series takes you on an emotional rollercoaster—sometimes you'll find yourself smiling like a fool, and at other times, shivering in horror and awe. It masterfully balances feelings of disgust and delight, all under a pervasive theme of darkness. The fleeting moments of happiness are incredibly sweet but are ultimately swallowed by a sea of suffering and agony.

Acting/ Cast

The main leads are portrayed by Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu. Luo Yunxi plays the roles of Tantai Jin, Ming Ye, and Can Jiu Min, while Bai Lu brings to life the characters of Li Su Su, Ye Xi Wu, and Sang Jiu. The entire cast delivers a masterclass in acting, drawing you deep into the emotional landscapes of their characters until you feel your heart shattering into a million pieces.

Their mastery of body language and facial expressions is chilling. Some scenes will make you leap with joy, while others will leave you gulping in disbelief. There’s no denying their extraordinary talent.

Luo Yunxi
- As Tantai Jin, we see the remnants of humanity struggling beneath the weight of evil imposed by the world, embodying the notion that "evil is not born; it's made."
- Ming Ye offers insight into the origins of the conflict between the Gods and the Devil God, adding layers of complexity to the narrative.
- Through Cang Jiu Min, we observe how circumstances and opportunities can lead to redemption and personal growth.

Luo Yunxi's profound understanding of body language and facial expressions makes each portrayal deeply compelling, drawing viewers into the emotional core of each character's journey.

Bai Lu excels in her roles as Li Su Su, Ye Xi Wu, and Sang Jiu, delivering performances that are both powerful and haunting:

- Ye Xi Wu is depicted as a strong-willed woman determined to achieve her goals, even at the expense of her own happiness.
- Through Sang Jiu, we explore how a pure heart can become tainted by the misdeeds of others, adding a tragic dimension to her character.
- Li Su Su offers another layer of depth, providing a thoughtful perspective on the world's complexities.

Bai Lu's ability to convey intense emotions with authenticity and grace ensures that each character resonates deeply with the audience, evoking a spectrum of feelings from joy to profound sadness.

Story

The story begins with the Devil God wreaking havoc across the world. To save this shattered world from total apocalypse, a group of ancient sages devises a plan to send a young girl 500 years back in time. Her mission: to prevent Tantai Jin from becoming the Devil God and plunging the world into an abyss of despair.

"Till the End of the Moon" stands out as one of the most extraordinary Xianxia dramas to date, offering a richly textured narrative complemented by outstanding performances. The series expertly captures the fragile balance between light and darkness, happiness and suffering, leaving viewers deeply moved and reflective.

However, the story is extraordinary, the screenwriters faltered in crafting a coherent and satisfying conclusion. They portrayed humanity as wicked and cowardly, capable of unfathomable cruelty with little room for good. This raises the question: Does such a humanity deserve saving? Would you save a world that views you as a harbinger of destruction and repeatedly pushes you into a corner? Human nature is complex and unforgiving, and the screenwriters' deviations from the original material threw the plot into chaos.

Conclusion

This drama is a profound and intense viewing experience that is not for the faint of heart. Its dark themes and emotional depth will captivate some while overwhelming others. If you are prepared for a journey that will tug at your heartstrings and challenge your perceptions of destiny and morality, "Till the End of the Moon" is a must-watch that will leave a lasting imprint on your soul.

A xianxia well made!

Watching a C-drama in historical settings after 6 months! (last one was who rules the world)
Whether or not Bai Lu and Luo Yin Xi are great actors isn't up for argument as we are well aware of the answer. I think they played their parts to perfection.
Why do I feel it's a great drama to watch?
1) The idea that "People aren't born evil, circumstances is what makes them whatever they turn out be" is expressed throughout the series. Tantai Jin didn't harbour evil intentions towards others by nature. It's the fate he was born with. His life for the most part was destined but in the end, he takes control of it by making definitive actions
2) The FL develops into someone who understands the ML's sufferings and tries to mend his destiny as she showers him with love and respect he was never shown before.
3) The connection between tantai jin, the mortal and ming ye, the immortal is mysterious and eluding. It gives a hint of something that can be used in sequels or standalone spinoffs.
4) CGI is better than what you would find in most historical dramas, which is expected given its high cost of production
4) The OST (especially the ending theme) is something you would wanna listen to rather than skip to the next episode. Even if you don't have the time to listen and would rather binge-watch the episodes, here are some of the ones I liked:
* Let's be like this for 10000 years (by huang xiaoyun)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3jBkNmIKV8
* Black Moonlight (by zhang bichen and mao buyi)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NACxvEqubCs

Why you might be a little disappointed?
1) Due to the regulations imposed by the Chinese drama authorities, the producers have to accommodate everything in 40 episodes, so the plot might feel a little jumpy at times ( I felt it on a couple of occasions)

Typical Xianxia Story - Amazing Visuals & Epic Music

Acting : Both Leads & Supporting Casts performed very well as expected of Luo Yunxi & Bai Lu, amazing chemistry between the two.

Music : I liked the OST & all the other music added in the story.

Characters : All the characters were good & played their parts very well, I liked the fox with her humor & her parts were always good.

Story : 1st Arc, epic storyline with so much emotions mixed in it, sadness, romance and action, 2nd Arc, A bit interesting to be honest with Gods & Demons.

Last Arc : Both leads torn & battered with all the memories with typical repetitive xianxia plot of sacrificing for eachother & misunderstandings as usual, I did not like most of the last arc.

Ending : I was expecting more but was left disappointed by the rushed ending, misunderstandings were not cleared & plot was rushed to make ends meet. 😔

It felt like more care was put into earlier episodes versus the latter

Xianxia tends to be hit or miss with me, but I was drawn in by the appeal of seeing Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi together again after the Love is Sweet. Their chemistry doesn't disappoint. I really loved the first 3/4 of this drama. Though both leads are good, Luo Yunxi really owned the show as the tortured Tantai Jin, and I found two of the lifetimes (Ming Ye/Sang Jiu and Tantai Jin/Ye Xiwu) equally absorbing and the CGI above the usual. But once we returned to the "present," the storytelling fell apart quite a bit for me. The pacing became uneven, the cut from scene to scene disjointed. The logic of the characters became inconsistent and subordinate to the plot. Sometimes it lagged, sometimes it was too hurried. The ending was not, for me, satisfying. It just felt sloppy. I don't know what happened in the production, but it certainly felt like more care was put into earlier episodes versus the latter and I only ended up finishing because of my investment from the earlier episodes . I went from wishing the drama would never end to wondering if it ever would by ep 33, a big disappointment. That's not to take away from the actors. I hope to see Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi collaborate again

The Best Drama and Well Done!

The story is well made and beautiful costumes of Buddhism. I noticed a few things that could make this story perfect.
1. Ye Siwu went to be bed totally dressed and hair were all decorated. The producer should have the actress wore only white KI (clothes).
2. The story was 500 years but Ye Qing Yu is not an immortal but he lives 500 years as a king wearing mask.
3. Fuya the young girl is also not aimmortal but live 500 years and became the Sect Trainee when she met Ye Siwu in Ep. 30.
4. This is the confusing part. Ye Siwu was a mortal. When I Su Su exchanged her heart with TanTai Jin, she died. She can't take the heart with her because it stayed in Ye Siwu body. While Ye Siwu does not have any super power at the beginning (Ep2?). In Ep 28? after Ye Siwu jumped and she had the power to summon and exchange her heart with Tantai Jin. After she left the mortal real, she went back to her immortal body. Yet she has the Devil Heart in her body.

There are inconsistency in this novel or production. Well, the drama is for low intelligent and for entertaining. I just point out the flew otherwise it would be perfect.

Till the End of the Moon was originally supposed to have two parts with the first half spanning 34 episodes and 24 episodes for the second half, but the production team had condensed everything into 40 episodes, in an attempt to speed up censorship checks for the drama.

Great start, totally dissatisfying ending

A what could have been a great drama with no expenses spared in cast, costume, CGI and rich story telling in the early episodes, the ending is just extremely disappointing with so many loose ends left unattended. If the screen writer had written a better, viewer worthy ending but for some reason cut or not produced, then whoever was, were responsible for the production, editing of the drama should apologize for the very poor job done to end the drama. Viewers spent more than a month to follow the drama with love and anticipation for a worthwhile ending are rewarded with a very poor final episode. The last episode could have been so much more comprehensive and rewarding for the viewers had the producer, editor not chosen to drag on non-stop CGI fighting scenes that literally took up more than 2 third of the viewing time, time that could have dedicated to give viewers a proper ending of the roles in the drama, tidying up loose ends and yes, a glimpse, too, of the encounter between the main leads in their next lives which they both deserve. The cast did great, the production, editing did not, what a shame.

Moral of the story

The story so many plot twist, don't ever skip the watch or you will gonna be confuse about the story line...
This drama about love story with legend costume
The girl main role acting so good with many kind of expression but the male main role a bit cold ( less expression on the episode),

The moral of the story
This tell us about wherever you go, the destiny has been decided. Even you are the good or bad person in the past, future and present you will gonna meet again the person hurt you most and cheer you most..

Beautiful Story That can Hook Viewers to feel emotion, cry, happy an pain.

Binge watching this series is really worth it,
I love this story, ML an FL both have good chemistry.

First, this is my completed xianxia drama watching, i'm really like chinese costume drama like the rise of the phoenixes but not really into xianxia drama.

Truthfully, i'm watching this because of Bai Lu, i
like her acting at one and only so i'm interested with this drama when airing at youku. Surprisingly, i'm fall in love with luo yunxi acting, he is really good actor. He really can pulled viewers to put emotion into his characters, and i like this is his voice and not voice actor. He is rare talent, he can perfectly played differently as Demon God, Tantai Jin, Ming Ye, and Cang Jiu Min. His hand gesture as Ming Ye is really beautiful and really like a God. I'm really like tantai jin when he is still hostage prince.

I know this is not perfect drama, i'm mostly bothered with lighting. Luo yunxi make up also sometimes excessive when in Jing Arc.
But the story itself is really good, i like their love story and their sacrifices.

Many people not satiesfied with the Ending. But i think it is best ending since their love is doom from start. Just enjoying their love story, angst and pain, the most important think is not the ending right but beautiful story that can hook viewers to feel emotion, cry, happy an pain.

What I only hate is the female lead's received any information without digging it deeper and details.
I kept cursing how stupid she was...in being shallow minded in deciding things, not to mention, her being carried away with her feeling at the moment while she couldn't think why she needed to do there in the first place.
However...I liked all of them. Even I despise the way she was thinking... she is better than the FL in love between fairy and the devil tho
And i feel for tantai Jin... :')

Finally the best show after all this time. No good shows to my liking were coming out but then finally I watched this one. The amount of times I cried and the chemistery between the couple is unmatched. They both were in Love is Sweet and thats when I fell in love with Lou Yunxi and Bai Lu. I'm happy they both were in this show as well. The ending, I was not expected and was hoping they would be together but I guess not *cries*. As the show Broker, this will also be on my mind for a month and will make me sad. I do hope there will be a season 2, please I really need a season 2 for this! Or honestly any new drama that will be a super hit and has both Luo Yunxi & Bai Lu in it. With a happy happy happy ending!

Extravagant yet sincere drama

This drama is extravagant and highly ambitious - Three different timelines, stories, characters with the same protagonist and antagonist interconnected with each other by fate. I was surprised that they actually pulled it off rather effectively :) Special mention to the main roles because it was never easy!

Aside from the plot, I honestly appreciate the sincerity of this piece, from their innovative costumes, accessories/accents, gestures, graphic effects, settings down to their posters, music ,promo materials and props - all were well thought off. Kudos to all the cast and the director/s and every single individual behind this piece! Looking forward to more quality Chinese drama like this!
