Watch at your own risk
I loved this drama during its first 13 episodes: the story was not especially original but the execution felt much better than other xianxias with the same kind of plot, in terms of visuals, pace, camerawork, music. I was constantly amazed at the shots, the colors, the costumes, and i felt like the show managed to hit all its emotional beats. Then the dream arc happened, with more one-dimensional characters and more frustrating/unrealistic character actions to drive the plot forward. For the next 20 episodes, the drama kept doing good stuff, then throwing in a very predictable/avoidable/aggravating turn or misunderstanding, and undoing all its progress. Wash, rince and repeat. The main relationship followed the same pattern. By ep 35 I had no reason left to root for the main couple anymore and honestly thought they would be better off separated. Tantan Jin's obsession for Ye Xiwu was more disturbing than moving to me, and Ye Xiwu hated him enough that it seemed their relationship brought more more pain than happiness to her. All things considered Tantan Jin finding a temporary family in the Hengyang Sect around eps 30 was one of the things I enjoyed watching the most. Then the story took yet AGAIN a direction that I didn't like and I couldn't continue. If I needed a word to describe this whole watching experience, unrewarding would definitely be it.

Spectacular enemies to lovers content (mild spoilers)
First quarter/Sheng arc: 10/10. Absolutely spectacular enemies to lovers content. In the future, the fabulous girlboss Devil God is slaughtering all the immortal sect heroes, namely, everyone immortal warrior girl Li Susu knows and loves, in front of her eyes, while they desperately try to send her back in time to stop him. 500 years in the past, Tantai Jin is a sad and skinny hostage just trying to survive in the deadly Sheng court and Li Susu wakes up inhabiting the body of his psychopathic young wife. She decides to cure him with kindness, but when Jin develops a taste for demonic magic, then kidnaps her and flees to his home kingdom to run a coup, she decides that he definitely needs to be put down like a rabid dog. She tells him this while saving his life a bunch of times because if he dies on her too soon then he will ascend to Devil Godhood and it will be game over for the world. Jin is understandably confused by this, but can't help responding quite well to Susu's intermittent kindness because he has been a kicked puppy literally his whole life and can't help imprinting on the first person ever to stick up for him.Second quarter/Clam arc: 7/10. Everyone is sucked inside some dragon's dream memories of something that happened 10,000 years ago when Susu was a clam princess at the bottom of the Mohe River and Jin was the emotionally constipated god of war she adored from afar. This arc feels longer than it is, but it sets up a whole lot of backstory and the next stage of the plot.
Third quarter/Jing arc: 9/10. Susu commences Operation Bin Jin. Step One: make Jin fall in love with her! Step Two: ask him to marry her! Step Three: murder him on their wedding night! The only problem is that now, they might actually be falling for each other for real...and Jin declares that Susu is the only reason he has any faith in humanity. This arc is everything I could have wanted from this show, though I'm docking a star for how slow it gets towards the end, when there's a simply unconscionable amount of blood-spitting and angsting. Want an enemies to lovers scenario where the villain love interest is a complete simp for the lady of light? Where he will let her walk all over him just because she's the only thing he lives for? And then hisses the line, "If you don't want my affection, then have a taste of my hatred"? Ladies: Tantai Jin.
Fourth quarter/Immortal arc: 8/10. Having completed her mission, Li Susu is overjoyed to wake up in a future where she's prevented the rise of the Devil God. Or has she? This quarter was...messy. On the one hand, we get the triumphant completion of Jin's character arc and much romantic fluffiness. On the other hand, much of this quarter felt slow, until the ending, which felt terribly rushed: quite a few loose ends are left fluttering, and the show seems not to know how to use Susu herself, sidelining her offscreen or unconscious for long periods while other (male) actors take centre stage. The second last episode is a return to form for the show, but the final episode, though satisfying, feels quite abbreviated and leaves off a last-minute eucatastrophe.
Overall, despite its flaws, when this show was at its best I was going absolutely feral for it. I love Tantai Jin, an Evil Cinnamon Roll who badly needs a hug and never loses that core of selfless regard for other people. I loved Li Susu, even though her stubbornness sometimes frustrated me, for her all-or-nothing gallantry, her fierce sense of justice, and the way she flipped a whole lot of gender tropes. I loved the handsome stickler general and the gorgeous Bad Fox he loves, and I even came to treasure the secondary leads who seem at first like a vanilla boy scout and an irredeemable harpy but have hidden depths.
The show was VERY smart about many of the tropes it uses. For instance, this has one of the only justified uses of the Break Their Heart To Save Them trope, very downplayed. It DOES do the cdrama thing of making the whole climax about the male character's agency and character growth, but this doesn't bother me as much as it did in LOVE BETWEEN FAIRY AND DEVIL because a) it DOES let the female character have a complete, if understated, character arc and b) while it puts emphasis on HIS agency, it doesn't feel like there's a cost in terms of HERS. I didn't like that even at the end of the show, the male lead is still lying to the female lead for her own good. Still, I WILL overlook a multitude of sins for a female lead who is depicted for so much of the show as smart, active, and stronger/more protective of the male lead.
Both lead actors do a great job, but the male lead is given a lot more to work with, and he rises to the occasion beautifully. It's the first drama I've seen him in, but it won't be the last.
The drama's theme is not quite as strong nor graceful as the one in LBFAD, but it seems mostly to have to do with love and fear. The greatest obstacle in the way of our leads' love is their fear of what he may become, and this came to a triumphant conclusion. I also loved the nature vs nurture theme. Jin's whole live has been arranged by the Devil God to turn him into a lonely, embittered, fearful vessel ripe for the Devil God's incarnation. There is much of his fate that he cannot defy, but his choices, and the faith Susu gives him in the power of kindness and love, enable him to rise above this. Even though the ending was rushed, the thematic consummation is what made this show such a satisfying experience.

please watch
i wont say much but the only downside of this drama was that its only 40 episodes. the team couldnt control that so I don't blame them. That was truly the only negative comment i had for this drama. the songs, acting, actors/actresses, and cgi were absolutely phenomenal. the chemistry between the two main leads were insane, maybe im biased but i don't think i am. cried almost every episode after ep 10. the last episode i was sobbing.100% worth your time.

One of the best xianxia ever
This is hands down one of the best xianxia, actually best Chinese drama I have seen in a long time. Yes, it is all angst. Yes, there are episodes at the end that are rushed and edited weirdly, but despite that, this is a must watch.First, this is different from all the saccharine, silly shows with a dumb FL. Instead, the emotions and tensions run more more deeply and the portrayals here of love and sacrifice are extremely nuanced. This is substantive and the stories and emotions just linger. In fact, you’ll find yourself thinking and obsessing about this 24/7 while you’re watching it. And yes, the ending is sad and you’ll need recovery time. But it’s so worth it.
Second, Luo Yunxi delivers one of the very best acting roles I have ever seen in a Chinese drama. I think it’s actually up there with HuGe in Nirvana in Fire. His performance is heartbreaking and mesmerizing.
Lastly, it is a visually stunning show. The costumes are the most beautiful and elaborate I’ve ever seen. The CGI is also extremely sophisticated and well done.
All in all, superb show, deserves 10/10 and should be ranked highly.

Most twist Plot of xianxia drama
FuhhhhhI not sure what to write because this drama is masterpiece
Will try to write the beginning till end and if you ever watch it please dont skip 1 episode especially ep 30-40
Since the beginning happen at the immortal world and how she become ye xiwu is tge starting point
I love how susu become xiwu and how susu treat Jin si different from Old Xiwu
With the treatment that she give and how she protect Jin untill Jin open his heart to love Xiwu is so lovable
We can see that even though Jin is planning for the revenge he still fall in love with Xiwu
But heartbreaking that Xiwu only think about to take the devil bone from Jin
Even after Jin take over her kingdom he still protect Xiwu family even previously they really treat him like rubbish
You can clearly see he really fall in love for Xiwu till the moment she die
If you think the plot will be weaker after Xiwu die
Its not
All the plot and relevation is open after xiwu die
And if we think that Xiwu need to sacrifice himself
Obviously not
One of them need to die to kill Devil god
And obviously last moment sacrifice himself and become puppet for Devil God and die.
Fuck
In the last episode if you think they Jin will reincarnate
no
He will not reincarnate
Unlike some of Xianxia drama they will make the ML/FL can reincarnate
Not for this one
They have ill fated relationship
One of them need to die and Jin sacrifice himself for Susu and the Clan
One of the heartbreaking drama But i think ML could done better because Bai Lu has set her high standard for the acting
Im really thinking Devil God could be play Wang Hedi
Because of previous drama he has the charisma for the devil god

Best Enemies to Lovers
I am absolutely in love. I really love enemies to lovers trope in a drama, and Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu brings the dynamic to life as perfect as I can imagine. LYX is what beautiful strong tragic would be as a person, and I think his Tantai Jin is the most beautifully expressed character I've ever seen on TV. His complex facial expression, his layered personalities, complex backstories, his moral standing and his thinking process are all so well-played it feels like I am getting to know the character personally.Bai Lu is very pretty and heroic, like I love how despite LYX plays a literal devil god, her character feels stronger instead, like there's something that feels like steel in her mannerism. Her backstory is somehow feels pitiful to me, and her character may be seen differently through different perspectives and you may found yourself torn between liking and disliking her too.
The cinematography and CGI is very well done, the costumes all look so intricate and luxurious and I love everything about this except I think the ending could be a bit better, but people say it will have a special episode later? I don't know. From the first episode this drama had hooked me so strongly and until the end it left a strong aftertaste in my palate I think no drama will ever come close to this, for now.

Please make part 2 otherwise I would be disappointed because of the ending
Beautiful drama ,all three eras' stories were good. Especially Tanaji's acting . He was amazing . The way the character shouted when he was hurt . The way he changed his expressions when he became a devil were all too good . After a long time I got to see such a super duper hit Chinese historical drama. Except for the ending I liked everything about the drama. All other characters were also good . Chemistry between the leads was amazing. .Su su also gave the best performance . I wish the director would make 2nd part to give beautiful and good ending to Su Su's and Tanaji's characters.
What I enjoyed the most was Tanaji acting . World's best acting . When he was angry ,when he was in pain, when he was happy , when he was in love . Every kind of emotions he brought on his face made me so captivated by him. Seriously, I have become fan of his acting.

If you like angsty drama then TTEOTM is for you
This is gonna be a short review haha. Honestly, my expectation for this drama was low but after watching the episode 1, I was in awe. The cgi and production was on another level. You could really tell that they spent a lot of money in this drama. Also, all the fighting scenes are executed beautifully! Meanwhile, Bai lu and Lou Yunxi acting DID NOT disppoint me. However, I find their chemistry on and off here sometimes but that's just me lol. The only thing I dislike about this drama is the amount of miscommunication and lack of trust between Ye Xiwu and Tantai Jin. It was really frustrating to watch them fighting. But all in all, it's a great drama to watch especially when you like angsty plots. Was this review helpful to you?

Just another drama with endless tears
This is another drama that starts off great but progress so slowly that it loses the plot. Don't get me wrong, the concept is great but the amount of back and forth is a bit too much. You know those typical dramas where the couple would end up together and be separated only to get back together again? Yeah, this is one of those. There always be something that keeps the couple apart and their relationship is always short-lived.To be honest, after watching so many dramas, I'm actually bored of female characters who are loyal and the type who would sacrifice anything for the greater good. This has been the theme for many xianxia dramas that it has become slightly mainstream to me. I was actually expecting a slightly more unique character for Bai Lu but her character in this drama turned out to be a little underwhelming for me.
However, there is one thing that was quite touching to me in this drama. I like how they went all the way back to when Tantai Jin was still just a mortal and the cruelty he had gone through throughout his life. Although it was his fate to be the devil but he wasn't born evil. Circumstances that made him live only to survive had shaped him into a person that hated the world. This part of the plot felt very strong for me.
All in all, it is a drama worth watching. All the actors were great and have amazing chemistry. If only the story wasn't that draggy I would have rated the drama an 8.

Never Say Goodbye to such an excellent Masterpiece…
Forgive me if this review was done improperly as this was my very first. This was based on my honest thoughts so there may have some disagreements. Lastly, I believed a drama is based on preference (just like food). There isn’t a good or bad drama. Just preference. Oh, excuse me for my grammar errors as well.Till The End of The Moon clearly is a production which filled with creative and excellent storyline, amazing cast/ team, songs with lyrics that fit the story, improved computer-generated imagery and beautiful cinematography. To me this is a top-notch drama with acting in another level. Faster pacing and less draggy most of the time. However, as the censorship rule was implemented, I heard from 56 episodes were reduced to 40 episodes. Due to unforeseen circumstances, there are also downsides to content with. Too much important details were removed. I feel that events were pushing the story along with no depths explanation. The flow was easy to understand yet there were details that linked to these events were not presented may ended up confusing. The romance of the leads was not touching, satisfying and moving. Many will root for the couple but it will never leave a deep and good impression. I believed if they had set a stronger foundation for the love to grow in the early episodes, the drama would be more fulfilling to watch. But it was suppose to be set in such a way that I think it was unfair of me to point this out. Sorry. I did not agree with how the makeup was done but again, there was a reason behind why was done such a way, that I shall not comment further. The drama didn't reveal which direction the ending will lead to, ended many query until the very end. I know many may not agree with the ending but this was an appropriate ending which fit the story. If you keep an open mind, there may had been dropping hints that it was the ending which you have been looking for.
This is one of the very few dramas that I am deeply invested in especially few of the characters. TanTaiJin is one. I love the way they set the story where many of us tend to think out of the box. For example, why right or left eye shed more tears than the other. I love that part. I was reminded by a viewer which took me whole night to analyze it even though I roughly already have an answer to the question. The story will always encourage you to think and to analyse. All the actors/ actresses took their roles seriously. Three couples need to play different roles. They were excellent in portraying their roles. I feel that I can see how these roles were portrayed differently. Especially LuoYunXi, he was amazing. He was able to express differently with his eyes for three different characters…. Expressive eyes/ soulful eyes. There were differences when he was portraying TanTaiJin and CangJiuMin (note:- same person) as well. Hats off to you dear LuoYunXi.
If you decide to join us for this roller coaster ride, I hope you will enjoy every moment of it.

One of the Best Dramas of 2023
STORYThere were many twists and turns in the drama. The plot was never boring. Whoever did the CGI needs a raise.
CASTING
Every cast member fit their role perfectly. Sometimes actors/actresses play a role and their character role sticks. This was not the case.
MUSIC
I put it on my Spotify playlist.
REWATCH VALUE
I gave the rewatch value a 9 because I don’t think I want to cry again. (or stay up till 3 in the morning)
Overall, this drama should go up there with Ashes of Love and Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms.
