They both have the same vibe and are more character focused. They also have the realistic portrayal of characters with a well written storyline

FL broke up with ML and went on suffering on her own before meeting again. ML was kept in the dark about the breakup and was heartbroken for years, resulting in his resentment towards FL. Both dramas begin with their lives several years after the breakup.

Both dramas feel similar, in concept, the way they were shot and produced (documentary-like).

The Producers tried to focus more on the "the behind the scenes" aspect of producing a tv-show, while Our Beloved Summer focused more on how to film a documentary about random people, and of course mainly the romantic relationship between the leads (which is way more interesting in OBS)
In both dramas there's an idol whose sole purpose is the same (even though they have opposite tempers), to show us some hardships of an idol life : no friends, no real free time, dealing with fans and anti-fans, no privacy... AND to have their first impossible and one-sided crush on the ML !
If you liked The Producers, you'll probably enjoy Our Beloved Summer, I don't know about the other way around

They used to be in a relationship but separated. For a long time they meet again.
I think they both have good comedy. Of course, in this series, the girl's failure in life is portrayed more.

Zhang Jing Yi is the FL in both. The chemistry is natural. The relationship had depth. However, BEITD does not have a satisfactory ending.

Something in the Rain is quite similar to Our Beloved Summer in terms of the overflowing chemistry between the leads and the overall realistic feel and portrayal of a relationship.

Both are set in school days and show the students' family backgrounds and past.
Both have cute soundtrack selections
There is a love triangle in each of them
One has a strong unrequited love

Very similar, both leads have dated each other back in college for a long time and the female lead broke up abruptly. The male lead wanted to be harsh and flaunt his success but couldn't because he didn't get over their breakup. Both female leads had personal problems which made them break up. Soft male leads in both dramas.

It gave me the same slice-of-life vibe.
You just see the normal life of normal people, who mostly goes through existencial problem, and somehow begin to go over them because they've been helped by their friends.

It's arround the drama/documentary/filming life too.

Both shows are slow-paced, and it doesn't feel rushed or anything. It just... takes the right amount of times.

Both shows have the capacity to make me cry just by seeing one of the characters on the screen

Beautiful scenery, soundtrack and an acting masterclass. A lovely war cup of team for the colder months or a fresh ice tea for the summer.

It’s a movie but it includes our two main leads! This isn’t a romance in anyway, but the action scenes and knowing this is where they first met on screen together just makes watching this worth your wild!!

Both dramas look back at past relationships, there is a constant switch between the present and the past. In both dramas, the leads started their relationship in high school. However, since then they have moved on and gone their separate ways, finding new paths in life. By coincidence they meet again years later and restart their relationship.

Both dramas have similar genres (melodrama and romance).
