Most awaited Season 2
I love that they created a new season that has a completely different plot line so even if you haven't watched the first season, you'll still be able to watch it. Some premises changed and the series is still connected on the first season somehow. The stories are just as rich and heartfelt as the first season but is not as structured as before. I love that the main casts remained the same although the villagers were completely replaced. The chemistry is still there and I love the new addition to the family which is Bora. Watch out what her role is to the family. Overall, I highly recommend this drama if you're a fan of crime, mystery, and fantasy drama.

nice to see our team back not as good as season 1
I loved to see our dream team back solving new cases from a new village. Joon Ho is a nice addition to the team, and I like his bond with Wook. But to be honest, I liked the first season better, as the village characters were better, and I really wasn't attached to the new villagers. The ending was a nice surprise, and I would love to see a new village with Siwan. Was this review helpful to you?
It is about the MISSING Persons and the loved ones who were left behind.
If you are considering to watch this series for “entertainment purposes”, you may want to think again. This series was created not to entertain the audience, it was created with a mission. What is the mission? To inform and remind the public that there are a lot of missing persons around the world, and they have families who are also suffering because of it.The series was not amiss in depicting how the majority of people dismiss and ignores missing persons. How we just pass them by, or pretend to read and care. But we don't share the burden, simply because it hasn't happened to us.
This series is about that. It is not about romance, or drooling over your favourite actor because they are handsome, pretty, beautiful. It is not even about the writer's skill in storytelling and the director's artistic vision in bringing the story to live-action.
“Missing: The Other Side” is about the missing persons, the families left behind, and the circumstances behind the missing persons… which many suspects were due to crime primarily.
Is there going to be a Season 03? I doubt it.
The way S02E14 ended hinted that they've achieved their goal when they first pitched this idea to sponsors. They ended it in a way to remind the audience about missing persons, and how you and I should share the burden and help in whatever way we can.
It is open-ended because the issue about missing persons is a “story” that will never end.
Creating a Season 03 will only dilute the message and impact they created in both Seasons 01 and 02. The third season will be nothing more than “milk the audience for ratings and advertisements”. Why? Because the message was strong and sent already. Any stories they create in a third Season will simply be a repeat of everything they already told in Seasons 1 and 2.
Which brings us back to the important point of this series:
It is about the missing persons and the loved ones who were left behind.

EXCELLENT SERIES! DONT MISS THIS SHOW
This started slow for me but right after episode 3, I cant stop watching and binged all the way to season 2. I personally think season 1 is better but dont get me wrong, they both kept me glued on the screen and anticipating. It is an excellent drama tbat is welk directed. The story smokthly flowed and every character played a vital role, connected to the story.
I would have missed this show if not for Netflix. I am not sure it is available in other pkatform but if you have the chance, don't skip watchibg this show and stick past the first two episodes.
The way season 2 ended, I am strongly hoping they will have a season 3.

I loved the first season, but the second season blew me away. It brought everything that I loved from the first and more. It introduced a ton of new characters and new people to be found. I felt their stories were even more heartbreaking from the first too. It also gave us 2 new lead characters in the village that I just fell in love with. Once again though, I skipped past all of the fraud/scam story in the beginning. I never really cared for all of that in the first one either and once you move past it, the drama is way more interesting in my opinion.
The leads all do such a great job at tugging at your heartstrings, but I especially loved Pan Seok even more in this season. You can tell that he is still raw from finding his daughter but not being able to find her in their previous village. It really adds a layer to his character where you can tell he is really effected by everyone he meets at the new industrial park. It made some of the missions super emotional and their reactions made me cry even more.
One character that kept my interest the whole time was Il Young. The curiosity of his abilities and all of his story as it unravels throughout kept me on my toes with trying to guess where it was headed. The actor does such a good job with playing his character and bringing all of his ups and downs to life. His character development was amazing too. Another lead was Captain Kang. She is basically the "Thomas" of this village, helping the newcomers adjust to their new "lives" inside. Her character was easy to fall in love with and I couldn't get enough of her energy. Every scene with her has you laughing, smiling and eventually crying with her.
The ending was so open ended though. I hope we possibly get a third!

What about Alice?
I'm sure that there are many folks that loved Season 2 of this series. I liked it and was mostly entertained. It had been a while since I watched season 1 and I likely missed some of the tie-ins from that series, but generally the show delivered what I expected. I felt it bogged down a bit in the last couple of episodes as it seemed to move away from what I felt was the more satisfying aspect of the show, that is, finding the bodies. And then there was poor Alice, and a bunch of other unanswered questions that would normally indicate a 3rd season was planned. I would have preferred things to be tidied up nicely. If I want reality I'll watch a documentary. Was this review helpful to you?

this series will be the death of me
⭐engaging storylines⭐i cried so much + crazy tightness in my chest when someone says goodbye (+in action scenes too, like in the "Voice" series)
⭐with the seasoned cast, acting is stellar
⭐I just never tried rewatching crime dramas ever. for my well-being, XD and this will not be an exception
Season 2 hurts more because of the kids. Or it's probably just my maternal instinct kicking in.
It's more interesting than Season 1 because of what Il Yong is able to do. I think it'll be great to explore that in S3. Hopefully, there's season 3!

Too many cliffhangers and unanswered questions
I wanted to love this season as I gave season one a rating of 9/10. But I just couldn't. There were too many cliffhangers and unanswered questions. The Bad:
---No resolution against the biggest challenge of this season.
---Unsolved missing cases.
---No mention/dropping of a large conspiracy.
---Unexplained changes in how the ghost village and its residents are allowed to behave -- upending last season's world building.
The Good:
---More screen time for female cast members.
---Mystery and resolution of one of the main characters’ abilities.
Unless you enjoy watching shows with huge cliffhangers and unanswered questions, I’d recommend against watching this season. Season 1, although it has a slight cliffhanger, is still watchable.

Missing: season 2
this really takes off after the first two episodes with lots of interlocking stories and characters great k drama mystery thriller with a supernatural dimension and the back story and fates of the main characters come together well towards the end though I do not totally understand the ending〜maybe leaves open another season? I also like that there is only minimal if any romance as similar dramas are spoiled by it in my opinion ⭐️Was this review helpful to you?
