Just love the two leads. Môre with those two
Absolutely love Wang Hedi in a more serious businessman type role. Episodes just not airing quick enough. Lovinh it so far. Thia series will be one of those that I watch again, like Love Between Fairy and Devil and Till the End of the Moon. I also like the other characters development, but at least they don’t take the focus off the main leads, unlike My Journey To You. You cannot go wrong with Dylan Wang or Bai Li. They are both exceptional. Can’t wait for this series to end so I can start watching it from scratch. Was this review helpful to you?

Overbearing CEO Trope With a Twist
OK, I may be biased here with my rating since I love the chemistry between Bailu and Dylan, and their visuals. I will gladly watch them stare at each other with background music playing any time...lol. Also, the journey to love for Shu Yue and Yu Yao added a lot of good flavor to the show.Eps 31 - 36 plus the bonus clip of 36.5 were satisfying and romantic. There were lots of kisses and skinship; the leads did not disappoint in that aspect. That made the 4-5 previous episodes of prolonged misunderstandings/miscommunication forgettable for me. The starting episodes until ep 26 were also very entertaining.
I watched with the full expectation and anticipation that it would be about the "domineering CEO trope," and Dylan did so well with that character. Love how overbearing and arrogant Shi Yan was even when he showed love and affection to the FL.
Luckily, the show did not make the FL character naive, overly enthusiastic, bubbly, and kind of dumb like the usual ones in such CEO shows. I did have a love-hate feeling for Bailu's FL character, though. Shu Yi was smart, sharp, and sassy in her professional life but totally clueless about her personal life. It didn't help that she kept listening to her friend, Shan Shan, who was the worst relationship guru ever! Still, most of the FL's actions and thought processes were relatable and quite realistic. Many of us often back away and assume the worst immediately, but unfortunately, in her case, the show dragged on too long for most viewers. Also, the show did not make the FL grovel enough, the ML should have gotten many more apologies and more appreciation from the FL.
The second couple's path to their relationship was so fun to watch, and honestly, the ML's niece, Shi Yue, was the MVP. She was the youngest, but her approach and pursuit of her man were well done, and she was often the catalyst that helped Shi Yan and Shu Yi move forward with their relationship. Shen Yu Jie shone as Shi Yue, and she was gorgeous throughout the show. Miles Wei was awesome as the dorky professor who ultimately could not resist the lovely Shi Yue.
We could have done away with the third couple - their push-pull dynamic became annoying to watch, and it was the same friend of the FL that was just so wishy-washy. I think that the female character was not written well. There's only so much Jiang Pei Yao could do, and she looked beautiful playing this disastrous character, which I did not like much throughout the show.
Love the outfits in this show - especially the leads and Shu Yue. Very branded, though, so I can only dream - haha!
Overall, I did enjoy this drama, and I had fun reading and commenting along with others. There was a lot of venting and frustration, but somehow, many of us continued on. I was addicted because of the cast and the fact that I do actually like the domineering CEO trope when it is done with a twist.

Only for fun and entertainment
If you want watch this drama with a mind set of fun and entertaining base then it will be totally fun for you from the starting to end you will always smile, giggle with second hand embarrassment... This drama didn't have any major plot just simple cold CEO and flirty reporter fall in love that's it...I'm bailu fan after she pick this project I read this novel and love it and read it so many times maybet this is also reason for me love this drama....
Both lulu and didi portrayed their role very well 👍🏻👍🏻
Whatever but from ep 31 -36 I'm totally satisfied 👍🏻❤❤❤ I'm doubt about lulu and didi chemistry bcs those who watch KR will know how funny person this two but they exclude my doubt ....lulu and didi chemistry on fire 🔥🔥🔥both of them WOW🤩🤩🔥
And I'm totally enjoyed this drama... Yess they dragged a little but i love it too bcs I'm also novel reader they indeed follow the novel but in middle part the screenwriter mess up the FL character but they make up for the ending...
And they cut so many kiss scenes bcs of this drama airing on satellite TV so they have to cut hot kiss scenes 😫😫

ONE OF THE BEST CHINESE DRAMA OF 2023
This drama, in my opinion, is worth watching. Since the trailer appeared, I've been obsessed with this drama. A big thumbs up, especially for the characters.Bai Lu is an excellent choice for the female protagonist. Her voice, like Dylan's, is natural. According to the novel's synopsis, her inherent beauty and elegance are on target. I realize that the flow is slow and deliberate because the plot is likewise modern.
I love this drama.. 😍 I’m waiting for the next season.
Will there be anymore episodes in the future or very soon..

frustrating but so good to watch
I have become addicted to this drama. I am on ep30 and so frustrated at the misses with each other the ML and FL have, ghe other side stories are also great relationships stories as well...there is a lot of technology terms used but I do not think this hurts the xtory, in fact I have actually learnt some things from it so that's another plus for it.
from a fomsntic perspective having multiple relationships in a drama can be ciffivult but this drama weaves them all together well with making it boring
loving it

WHAT A WASTED POTENTIAL...
Zero communication, dumbest FL, overconfident but foolish BFF, the most cliche-lazily written plot and lots of investment business talks we don't care about — is what we get here for more than "20" episodes.I mean seriously, what kind of split personality did the FL have here?? She is so confident and mature about her work but where is her maturity in her relationship? Why can't she make her own decisions and follows her stupid BFF blindly instead? (Bff - who is apparently herself a lost case)... FL didn't even hesitate to say those flirty lines in starting but then she's standing like a statue when she needs to apologize!?
nevertheless, the beginning when things yet made sense and there were no unnecessary love rivals and misunderstandings and the ending which was quite a hot mess. damn their chemistry was lit... both parts saved the overall rating but I still won't recommend this as the middle is both messy and frustrating. You might tolerate this happily if you're a big fan of the actors or you were in the mood for a dramatic (brainless) melodrama.
What makes me so upset is that I'm a big fan. both Bai Lu and Dylan Wang are my treasured favorite actors (even my pfp has always been bai lu). And all the anticipation and hype we gave to this drama. Like its such a waste of their talents and our time to watch two kids... The actors did well but the storyline was just too draggy.
For those (like me) who were excited to see Bai Lu and Dylan Wang together, go watch FMVs of this (save some time) or their off screen interaction of variety shows because they're far better or just watch this drama and skip until both your fingers and brain is tired af.
Kudos to the build up in the beginning tho I have to admit I was deeply invested in the so-called "plot" and I cared for these silly childish characters. To the point that I often screamed "say something bitch" xDD. Last 6 episodes were what people expected from this drama but what we got is a boring business drama with stupid leads. And I'm not going to forgive the production for all the frustration they gave me before those last episodes.

Only for Love has me in a chokehold!!!
I know this drama is not for everyone … BUT for me this drama is sooo amazing and addictive!!! Currently up to episode 10 and OMGGG I am obsessed!!!- 1st of Bai Lu: I mean absolute Queen!!! Every drama of hers is a slay!! I have read the novel and Bai Lu really did a perfect job portraying ShuYi’s character in the novel!! the cheesy pick up lines, dramatic acting and everything to me was exactly as the novel!! perfection!!!
- 2nd is Dylan Wang: A lot of people are saying his stiff in the drama but I feel like he has definitely improved than he past drama!!! For example whenever his character ShiYan sees ShuYi he’s face brightens up liek a light bulb!! He is definitely a “he fell first and harder”
type of guy!!
Overall, this drama to me has been a masterpiece causing me to giggle like a psycho and blush like a tomato!!!

Romance Drama Perfection!
Disclaimer first: I'm a huge Dylan Wang fan since MG2018, so some bias may occur. If you're a fan of the 'OMG when will they finally end up together and get over themselves??' - genre, this is the drama for you. The sweet taste of frustration when any of the characters does not speak their mind and/or heart, letting misunderstandings rise and being unnecessarily shy or insecure. It's horrible, but I love it. Especially when these shenanigans are being portrayed so perfectly as here. ALL 3 (or 4, if you count the boss lady and the uncle) have this trick down hard.
It's a drama like a one of those paperback romance novels. Including the hothothot kisses. I will for sure put this one high up on my re-watch list!!
This is the 3rd drama I've seen with Bai Lu and Dylan Wang as leads and I must say they are indeed a match made in heaven. Their chemistry is electric and they are so natural together. Bai Lu has great chemistry with more actors, but this pairing is exceptional.
Dylan Wang is getting better and better, but his best performance is still the 'Tsundere', the on the surface cold and distant man, but when thawed is a big bowl of charm.
This couple is playing the attract and reject game like pro's. I have been yelling at the screen at them en almost cried in frustration. They could have been married with kids in the first 10 eps, but instead choose to listen to horrible advise and their own huge inferiority complexes. Even a monk telling them they're meant to be doesn't help.
The 2nd couple is possibly even worse! 2 people very much in love but both thinking the other likes their freedom more than them and purposely misunderstanding or running away. Aarrrgghhh. I love it. It keeps me continuously entertained and invested.
Even though there's continuous drama, it never gets boring or bland. This is mostly due to the actors, who are so good at emoting and subtext. The best scene? For me the suduction sequence, where FL tries to get ML to sleep with her, but he has no clue, until he literally gets the message.
Does this drama have Red Flags? Ohhh yess. Many. Women as well as men. All of them have their own shade of red.
Does this drama have cliche's ? Almost nothing but. But that's also why it's so comforting and appealing to me. I really miss these kind of cliche's done well. Here they're done perfectly.
Is this drama for everyone? Probably not, but who cares? Give it a try!

Just watch it for the feels
There will always be this drama were we either hate it or love it, or just watching it for the feels. This drama for me is the latter. I stayed for the feels. Let’s be honest, this drama really doesn’t have any complicated plot. Both characters are already strong from the very beginning so character development was not necessary, in my opinion. I think the second couple had the most character development more that the leads tbh. Also Miles Wei and Dylan in one frame, holy smokes! You guys don’t understand! 😂 FYI Miles does really good kissing scenes! Shish! But then again, a drama with little to no plot, did I hate it? No. Like I said i’m here for the feels and damn well, can’t deny Bailu and Hedi have that strong chemistry. They are both very known actors and they also carried this drama really well.
If you guys watched Hedi’s drama before, you can really tell the growth of his acting and how much his tone and facial expressions have changed and they are all for the better. If you still question if he is a good actor, watch LOVE BETWEEN FAIRY AND DEVIL, trust me, it’s really good and then watch Meteor Garden, then see the difference. 😂 Bailu on the other hand, i just love her. I’m maybe biased but i really like her acting.
There are quite a lot of couples in here, and i’m not gonna deny, some of the scenes bore me a little, but that did not stop me from watching. Guys, you can skip a few seconds and you still wont get lost in the story.
If you’re gonna asked, whatever episode is this and that,
Episode 19- they got together
Episode 27- break up but not really
Episode 31- they solved their issues
Third party? Absolutely no chance
Happy Ending? VERY MUCH there’s a special episode, mangotv on YouTube already have it.
Rewatched value? Some of my favorite scenes.
Kissing scenes? YOU’RE IN FOR A TREAT.

So close to perfect
I don't know why, but I OBSESSIVELY loved this. Maybe because of Dylan Wang and the way he just *waves hands* is. But both the leads were absolutely fantastic and I thought there was a really interesting, unique, and hilariously fun dynamic. Like it didn't take itself too seriously sometimes.I skipped work to watch this show. I was so, so obsessed with it from episodes, maybe 4 to 24ish. But around the late 20s and early 30s, I started to get really annoyed. It was the same juvenile, intentional miscommunication that was used as a plot device. I skipped through a lot of parts during these episodes.
And I didn't love how some of the "reveals" were done. Reveals are my favorite part in a story, hahah. Like if someone is dating the hot, rich, millionaire and then the reveal to (other guy who likes her) or (her parents) or (her ex), etc. Some were okay but I wanted moooooore.
Either way, I loved this. I'd probably gladly watch another 30 episodes just to see Dylan Wang, lol.

Cellphones Do Not Have Silence Options in the Only for Love World
Okay…I started this despite not being a fan of modern/contemporary Chinese romance dramas because these usually feature nonsensically convoluted plots and too many misunderstandings. However, I like both main leads and wanted to watch something with Dylan since I will not be watching his other dramas from this year. I thought that having other cast members, like Bai Lu, Wei Zheng Ming, and Lui Dong Qin, all of whom I also liked even if I didn’t fully enjoy the shows they were in, would make it more bearable. It did not. I never expected a masterpiece, but had hoped for a decent story with relatable characters or at least characters who would allow me to live vicariously through them. This, also, did not happen.
The premise of the show was all based on a misunderstanding which dragged on for too long. On top of this, there were other couples whose dynamics were fun at first, but later entered the realm of toxic and stalkerish. As if having already three dysfunctional couples wasn’t enough, at around the 20th episode yet another couple was added.
Another part that bothered me was the romance between the main leads. I usually like slow burn romances, it gets me excited for when the fire finally consumes them and they cannot “fight that feeling anymore”, but for the love of all sacred monkeys, this wasn’t even a slowburn, it was almost no burn and the damned cell phone ringing was the main character, as one of the watchers so aptly commented. Someone wanted to clarify something, the phone rang. Someone wanted to confess, the damned phone rang again. Someone was about to kiss, you guessed it, the phone rang. It’s as if they didn’t know phones have silence options.
On top of this, some scenes that looked like they were finally going to get things rolling ended too abruptly. For the first kiss scene, I blinked and almost missed the kiss. There were too many filler-like scenes which featured their workplaces, business dealings, conferences, introduction of new antagonists, and talking about things I had no desire to listen to, or more specifically read about since I read the subs, especially in Shi Yan’s case. So I fast-forwarded these scenes or, in later episodes, just watched the drama as background noise. This leads me to another issue, this is a romcom. This drama is 36 episodes and personally, I believe romcoms should not be this long. This drama would have probably been a lot more tolerable to watch than it was if they had focused on less, because sometimes less is more. The addition of all those unnecessary subplots made it draggy and boring.
I don’t remember the OST and I do not plan on rewatching or recommending this to anyone. I added .5 because despite the drama being terrible, I still like Dylan Wang , Miles Wei, Lui Dong Qin, and Bai Lu.

Enjoyable with its flaws
I would say this was an enjoyable watch that has its own issues. Mind you, I came in damn well knowing what kind of trope this is and have read the novel. So, I was able to set my expectations right on the line of watching for enjoyment and the actors. The acting of the various actors are great and they acted their roles well. I would say the last 6 episodes plus the special episode were my favorite to watch. They are such a sweet couple mixed with a bit of jealous moments, makes me squeal. The beginning right up until the misunderstanding is enjoyable, nothing too extravagant or amazing.I've seen other negative reviews, and I get what they are saying. However, I went in with a different mindset than them and lowered my expectations knowing damn well what type of trope this is. That helped a lot with my enjoyment of this drama. Also, I watched it mostly for Bai Lu and Wang He Di, so I may be a little biased there. However, I do recommend giving it a try, or at least the last 6 episodes.
My score is a little inflated as I can not let this dramas rating go below an 8. I would rate this drama an 8, enjoyable but not great.
