Qi pa's birthday

Suddenly in the midst of her love daze, qi pa remembers her husband kui mulang, she runs to inform him of this new romantic development between her and Li xiong.

One saving grace, I see in this story arc of making qi pa fall in love with Li xiong after her marriage to kui mulang is qi pa's honesty with kui mulang regarding her feelings.... I appreciated the fact that the writers left qi pa with that dignity.... Immediately after she confessed her feelings to Li xiong, she ran to tell kui mulang that she had fallen in love with someone, would divorce him and date her new love in the mean time.

For me it would have been 1000 times worse if the writers had made qi pa lie to kui mulang, sneak behind his back to meet li xiong.... Honesty is the cornerstone of any relationship, as long as she is honest about her intention, no obstacle is too great.

Kui Mulang decides to celebrate qi pa's birthday. He orders a big sweet white cake to be made for qi pa. All people of the palace give qi pa amusing gifts. Liu jun's gift being the most boisterous, he gifts her kui mulang's statue and requests her to stay close to his majesty and far from David( referring to Michelangelo's David).

Kui Mulang gives qi pa a wolf's fang necklace. He says "This is the best thing a werewolf can give to his beloved. A werewolf loves only one girl in his life. So I have only one fang necklace. And I'm giving it to you".... Later Hong xiu informs qi pa that kui Mulang never took off that necklace and allowed no one to touch it because it was a gift from the late king and also related to his mother.... A worthy courtship gift for a life mate. 👍🏻

Li xiong invites qi pa for a romantic night outing on her birthday as he is still able to retain his human form during the night. He gifts her 'Kui Mulang' constellation and promises to protect her day and night henceforth (alluding to his two different personas). They 💋 sweetly. Li xiong returns back to his palace and to his disappointment 😔transforms back to his wolfish form while transferring energy into the spring water. His happiness had a short shelf life back to bitter reality.

Meanwhile, qi pa gets the most ludicrous idea to get concubines for kui Mulang so that he may allow qi pa to leave with Li xiong. Qi pa wants to hold a performance class as a rouse to find concubines for kui Mulang unknowingly that he is Li Xiong. Kui Mulang tells qi pa " You alone is enough for my harem."
