Archives: The Nanyang Mystery Episode 1

In Balai, Nanyang, a statue of an evil god lures people to a salt marsh to die digging for hidden treasure. Zhang Rui Pu, a former agent of the Southern Archives, a secret organization that deals with strange and supernatural mysteries, seems to fall under this obsession. Two probationary agents, Zhang Hai Lou and Zhang Hai Xia, are sent to investigate. They find a way into the hidden cave and discover a massive shrine to the evil god with creepy puppets and more evil god statues. Accidentally, the duo end up freeing a giant living version of the evil god, and have to fight their way out of the cave. Fleeing, they stumble upon a wounded man and Zhang Rui Pu. When a fight starts, the wounded man knocks out Zhang Rui Pu and reveals he is Zhang Si Ye, an undercover Southern Archive agent, and before he dies, warns them to end the investigation and not take on any case about a reef or grass. They get out of the cave and use Zhang Rui Pu's mining operation to blow up the cave. After reminiscing on how they ended up in Nanyang, they decide to ignore Zhang Si Ye's advice and continue the investigation in Xucheng. (Source: Kokuto at kisskh)
