I waited all episode to see how Haixia is doing and, oh boy—he has become Mo Yungao's adjutant... 😨 Now they will wreak havoc and cause mass murder together... 🥺😰I guess this episode was more or less about a month after Haiqi got sick, so that explains why some things have changed. But I must thank Haiqi and Hailou for their travel to Bailejing. It gave a little lighter, adventurous vibe, letting me put aside for a moment all the worry I have for Haixia's growing darkness and tragic arc. 😔🙏Hailou becoming the next Director of Archives was a nice touch to his story. He deserves it, and the way he started to poach all those random people just so he could have someone in the Archives... It was heartwarming and actually a little sad at the same time. 🥹❤️‍🩹 He tries to hide it, but he's pensive so often and that sadness in his eyes—he knows the moment he may become alone comes closer. 😢 I actually think he should recruit Cousin if he ever meets him again. ☝️🤧But one mystery piqued my mind the most—what's happening in Bailejing and why would they need so many corpses? Has it something to do with Twilight Grass again or something else? I probably didn't pick up all the hints that were given, but that's enough to start asking... 🤔

Bailejing, in search of the Jiang Patriarch

Zhang Hailou and Zhang Haiqi share the most heartwarming moments together.
And the most heart-breaking moment is when Zhang Haiqi asks Zhang Hailou what he fears most, and he does not answer.
She knows. He knows.
At the beach, when he sees her skipping on the grass with the other women- Oh, the heart is gone!
To see his happiness witnessing this.
Her simple joy. Jiang Pei Yao has been stunning in this drama. Her emotional synergy with the actors portraying her two disciples absolutely pierces the heart.

Zhang Hailou, the new Director of the Nanyang Southern Archives as per his mentor's instructions, decides making money off the bandits is necessary. And she adds a hilarious suggestion.

The inn encounter is quite engaging. Great bust-up. This is why the two of them should have adventured together much earlier!

I really have to recommend the hot lady-on-lady fight.
