I found the first episode of this unusual new series utterly enchanting. There’s humour, beautiful scenery and an opening which is completely different from the usual BL stuff. No staring, no engineers just a jolly bus ride into the country. Granted we did have a coffee shop, but only for a minute. There doesn’t seem to be much of a mobile signal which might guarantee no annoying text message trails popping up on screen.The acting was good and all the characters were believable. There’s a bad guy, some good guys, a (sort of) comedy mum and a “damsel” about to be in distress.Filming in the country is probably a challenge to the production team so the sound was not 100%, but for me that added a real charm.The story has got off to a good start and there is plenty of scope for some interesting twists and turns. There is genuine humour too. Five guys going for a bicycle trip with one bicycle is a BL first, I’m sure. There will be a romance, I’m certain and that will make for something very interesting and different.You can probably tell that I’m already hooked. If the rest of the series is as good as this I will enjoy every minute.Even the gorgeously melodic theme tune is going round in my head. I can hardly wait for the next episode.If you do watch please keep with it right to the end for some very funny behind the scenes!
