This episode was great no matter what just because it ended with one of the best c-drama tropes ever: Surviving a cliff jump!

"So, you won't marry me & you'll be my enemy?" Her acknowledgement of this fact is the reason her drama fate ending the way it did. Threatening him, attempting to kill him, opposing him and making herself a willing "enemy" of him, despite is admitting his feelings are way her Female Arc is aligned with SML, Emperor, Crown Prince, Uncle Gao et al. All those who oppose him, manipulate him and try to kill him or exile him will be avenged when the subplot of his rise to power occur. He prevails over all his naysayers. Why should she be any different. Villains aren't part of his redemption arc. They're exterminated and those who lover and support him are the victors. This is why she died. She's his enemy. She said so herself.

In her head, the Mr.Screenwriter would stop the time or give a hand to them. So jumping a cliff is nothing,huh?😂😂😂😂But the truth is, there is a large river out there and the assassins would never dare to follow them again because they think the main couple is dead.What about someday the main couple appears out of nowhere and everybody thinks they are their ghosts?😂😂😂😂
