But I still don't get who killed Empress. Was it Gao? I am sure Emperor did investigate the assassination of her after he accused of NH to be the cause. Did Emperor found out it was done by Gao? That's the reason why he hates NH?
I thought Emperor wants NH to be crown prince, but as long as he arrives Emperor cannot appoint him as so he pretends like he chooses 18th prince?
And where are the rest of princes? Gao killed them all but left 18th bcoz he is dumb? Is that the reason why Emperor tries to protect NH? Hard to guess!
