Both dramas have
-a fictional world based on a script
-female leads who have to fight against the script
-characters that are victims of prejudiced thinking and harsh judgement by others
-a story that questions the popular or common patterns of story telling in idol romance dramas
-make a point about the "supporting characters" also being people, not furniture to fill space around the "main couple" so it doesn't look to empty
-romance that doesn't consist of fluff, but building a real connection between two people, while the circumstances don't make it easy for them
-bloody scenes/torture

The CDrama is a historical fantasy, while the KDama is a modern fantasy based in a high school. In the KDrama FML behaves like the main character, who is rich, and has a cold fiance/bf who doesn't like her. She has a heart condition so she faints a lot and can die any time. One day FML finds out that she is a book character, but not the main character, she's one of the support roles, who's used to connect the real ML and FML. Her fiance/bf isn't the ML in it either. Days go on, and she has to follow the set script until one day she notices someone who is not even a support but a background character who doesn't talk or interact with anyone. She takes an interest in him... And the real story starts.
From the trailer of the CDrama, they seem pretty similar in terms of concept. But what is unique is the setting and how will the characters be portrayed.

Smart Male lead with an a**hole dad.
Crafty female lead.
Imperial family drama.
War.
Great action scenes.
Second Male lead was a childhood friend/sweetheart who can't understand rejection and makes it everyone else's problem. (vastly oversimplyfying the complexity and nuance that led to their turn to the darkside but yeah)

Although one story's main premise is set in modern time while the other is set in ancient time. Both involve a modern-day girl who enters the world of a book/script and became the female lead, then together with the fictional male lead of the story, they overcome many obstacles and changes their predetermined fate.
Here i am again with another recommendation but hear me out
AALS is not have the same humour the trailer of ADWAD has... but it definitely worth watching
The similarities:-
?one of the leads enters the novel's world, but in AALS the ml enters the biography of a real villainous queen in his world
?in ADWAD, the fl fights for her life. In AALS, the ml fights for fl's life and her future reputation
?Big Spoiler:- AALS is quite heartbreaking, if you watch the first episode; you will know their ending. So, prepare your tears and tissues.
