Black out - good premise questionable execution
To start things off this K-drama is by no means bad it just could’ve been so much better.Firstly i loved everything up until the culprit(s) reveal. The fact that every one was guilty for the 2 girls murders was just ridiculous. It felt like the writers were just adding more and more people as culprits just for shock value. If the culprits were just the 2 boys ( min su and byeong mu ) as well as the Doc without bringing in literally the entire cast being accomplices to the 2 boys it would've been sooo much better.
Here’s what i feel like should’ve happened instead, Geon oh (the police chief son) Byeong mu, min su and Boyeong were drinking then they get into the fight etc after she dies. Goon oh tries to call his father but is stoped. Byeong mu, Minsu and Geonoh load Boyeong’s body in Jongwoo’s car and the events play out same way as they did for Minsu and Byeong mu’s fathers (they crash the car and hide the body in the abandoned school) Geonoh helps cuz the other 2 tell him that the police wont believe him if he were to snitch. Later Da run dies by the hands of the doc.
There was literally no reason for some of these characters to be involved in the crime, the biggest example of this is Na Gyeom they tried to make her this super evil mastermind and had her be involved in literally everything and the writers failed so bad with the execution of her character especially. Both the boys fathers also did not need to be there.
As for the Chief and how Jongwoo will be framed, what could’ve happened was shortly after the crime has happened and the investigation began Geon oh could have incoherently told his father privately. His father (the chief) wanting to do anything to protect his son covers up any evidence and ends up framing Jongwoo etc.
And by far the most ridiculous part of this all was the location of Da eun’s body. Her body had no reason being there. Im sorry but when that reveal i found it so ridiculous. One again merely there for shock value, the matter with her body could be easily handled by having the doc hide it/bury it somewhere with the help of his wife, and later it gets found when he ( the doc) gets caught.
That isn’t to say that i was bad, there were many things that i liked in it too. I absolutely adored Ha seol as a character as well as the Mc, Jongwoo, i also liked how Dong min (Boyeong’s father) character was done, i felt bad for him but i also hated his guts at the same time. I also loved Detective Noh and his character development especially with Jongwoo. Su-ho & Geon oh were also characters i ended up loving so much, cant say the same for their dad tho. Of course there are other things that i liked in this too but I’ll end it here.
Over all would I recommend this kdrama to someone? Probably
Solid 8/10

Very Underrated drama with an amazing plot
Feel like this is not talked about enough since its not available to watch on platforms, i was so into the plot from the beginning that i went to deep search from different channels, telegram etc and finally was able to watch all eps. Thats the kind of effort im willing to put if i think the drama is going to be interesting and good. It never disappointed me for wven a second and binged watched it in a day. If you do ind a way to watch this drama especially into mystery/crime this is definitely for you.The three characters jeong yu, sang cheol and ha seol really gave their characters justice till the end. The ending is so good that it definitely deserves a rewatch in the future; that is if i eventually forget who the mastermind is which is not happening.
Just want to erase this from my memory and watch it again

Good Plot, Slow Paced, Solid Acting
I really really enjoyed the acting in this. I barely recognized Byun YoHan from Misaeng, because he plays such a different character and does so good at it. Ko Jun also did amazing per usual. And, a special shoutout to Lee GaSub for playing two different characters executed amazingly.I enjoyed the plot very much, but things do drag some due to going overboard in foreshadowing. It was painfully obvious when a character was “suspicious” and it caused the reveals to be dull. I don’t know if it was intended to be obvious, but I personally enjoy some good shock value.
The congresswoman did not need that much screen time. Her husband is the one that committed the crime, and she just assisted in covering it up, yet she seemed to have more screen time than him. I honestly started skipping through her scenes because it was just a repetition of her using her status to control things being covered up.
I feel like they made JungWoo a little bit too chill for the fact that he just spent 10 years in prison for being falsely accused of murdering his best friend and girlfriend, and also the way people treated him knowing damn well they’re the ones that actually did it. Maybe I’m just temperamental, but I feel like most people would’ve crashed out way harder. Though, maybe he would have if he didn’t have Detective Na to keep him grounded and focused.
Speaking of Detective Na, I wish they would have shown us what happened with his wife.
All in all, it was a decent watch, but could have been 8-10 episodes and could’ve had more shock value. I probably won’t re-watch it, but I don’t regret giving it a watch.

About drama
The best ongoing drama and the best thriller drama of 2024 🔥I don't know why people didn't recognize this drama. It deserve more ratings.
*The story is about a murder of two girls . A boy caught on suspicion of killing those two. They found evidence that he killed them both so he sent to prison for 10 years.actually ,I feel bad for him in the whole episode 1 because we know that he's not the killer. At the time, he was a 19-year-old student who expecting the medical college . (I actually cried in episode 1). He cannot be proved that he is not the murderer. He lost everything . His mother didn't believe him. His father dead while he was in prison. So much tense . He released after 10 years then he sees that the villagers are bullying his mother and tried to kill her. So he want to prove that he is not the killer. The worst part is it seems to like everyone feels the boy is innocent but they blame him and said it all are his fault. The people of that vilage are very suspicious. * we don't know who is the killer. And why he or she killed that two girls. Also the dead bodies are missing for 10 years. There also a police captain and a girl . I think those three will find killer.
However so much pressure in this drama after watching the 8 of 14 episodes my head also hurt. And I feel so bad for that boy 😪.
So This drama is worth to watch. It getting crazy each episode 🔥

Missed Call From Intellect
Its hard to believe that they created a drama with this naive ML in 2024. I'm afraid this guy would've been having night outs with snakes again if there wasn't Ha Seol around. Even toddlers are more smarter than this ML in the present. He can only score A's in academics and not in intellect. Yep, the novel was published in 2010 but if you're having a TV adaptation of it AFTER 14 years then notch up his intellect alike it.Was this review helpful to you?
2024 best kdrama...YES
This was one of the best kdramas I have ever watched, I was so thrilled and excited... It will keep you on the edge .Each and every episode got layers and news to it, which were portrayed and acted perfectly by the amazing cast and the most pathetic protag I've ever seen in my 14 years of kdrama watching.
I love Yohan and his works, he is one of my favourites and I deffinetely put Black out on top of his dramas.
The ending was fair and so good I love love love love it.

i love the story and plot too , it is one of best drama in 2024 for sure! Karma is a bitch so at the end of the day truth will always prevail but it takes time to come out , i love the moral of the story. I love bromance between detective and hero and they supported each other throughout journey was simply superb. We need to more dramas like this.I know many of us think like some went to prison and others went to mental asylum, but i personally prefered truth always prevail and ending scene was perfect and overall drama for me is 10/10. Definitely everyone should watch this drama.

THIS. IS. CINEMA
This drama is really good! The plot is so well made and can make the watcher to hook oh the story for a long time. The character roles also act very well and their expression is so good! I really really love this drama. The intense emotion, the eager feeling to know the ending of the cases in the storyHowever (spoiler) feel a bit sad that Daeun's case is so short but that doesn't matter because Boyeong's case is more intense because it have more suspects. I remember how many I mumbled word "what a shameless person" everytime the suspect try to lie. Wow, the actor's role is so good that they really made me annoying with their expression, very good job for the actor's!
Anyway, the scene that got me emotional when Boyeong's father realized Jeongwoo doesn't kill his daughter, he realizes he committed sins to his family, and he becomes nice to him after his is in prison.

The drama will make your blood boiled from the beginning till the end in a good way!
One word: WOW!!! It is one of my favorite dramas now. Finally, a perfect drama that I watched in a few days as I could not stop. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time as the story unfolded perfectly. The acting was superb, especially Jo Han, as you could feel his pain.
The storyline and pace were perfect. I have to say, it was hard to watch the drama, but in a good way, as you witness all the mistreatment of Jeong, and it will make your blood boil and your heart will be racing as everyone is against him. It was so sad to see all his loved ones betray him because of jealousy or personal gain. The more the story unfolded, the more shocked I was to see no guilt or remorse. I loved his friendship with the detective. He was the only glimpse of hope and the only thing that kept me sane. Also, I really liked the FL; she was the only one who believed him.
The ending was so satisfying as he finally found his peace, even though he will carry all the wrongdoings in his heart forever.

The acting of the main cast is exceptional. The protagonist delivers a powerful performance, portraying a mix of vulnerability and determination as he fights to clear his name and uncover the truth behind the mysterious murder. His portrayal of a man burdened by guilt and anger but driven by hope is both believable and compelling. The supporting cast also does a fantastic job, especially the antagonist, whose portrayal of menace is both chilling and captivating.
One of the drama’s strongest aspects is its plot twists. Just when you think you’ve figured it out, the story takes another sharp turn, keeping the audience constantly guessing. The pacing is perfect, with each revelation adding new layers to the mystery. The flashbacks are used effectively to provide crucial context, making the unraveling of the truth even more satisfying.
Overall, "Black Out - Snow White Must Die" is a well-crafted drama with top-notch acting, a complex storyline, and plenty of shocking moments. It’s a rollercoaster ride of emotions that will leave you thinking long after the credits roll.

If you love crime thriller, this is for you !
I haven’t felt so excited to watch a drama in so long the fact that from episode one to 14 there was only something new popping up the writers at this up so nicely. The acting was so fitting for the story because I have zero complaints about the quality of acting the show was so good plot twist on top of plot twist next to a plot twist and a plot twist no this is how I love watching K dramas not knowing who is guilty and not knowing who to trust that is my favourite part of this thriller. well done to the blackout team this was nicely done and if you like crime thriller this fits in so perfectly I can’t even imagine anyone else acting the rules that were given to the actors. Everyone exceeded my expectations every single one and I love hating on characters in the show the writers give us a lot of characters to hate. Was this review helpful to you?
Here, though, the main characters are not as big as Gong, Yoo or Chi Jang Wook, or Lee Min Ho, I was driven by the sincerity in the facial expression of the main character (@Byun Yo Han) while Go Jun, I like his face, it's like he could make me laugh even without doing anything, he's got a natural aura. He's good at being a villain but more so when doing comedy. I watched his series with Jang Nara. It was a Rom-Com. Byun Yo Han is new to me, but he already caught my attention. I will check out his other series. He is also a natural actor.
The rest of the cast are already so familiar to me, they are all versatile and bankable, which makes it very good to watch.
The story and the sequence of events are what lift the quality of this series. I think this has a good director, as well.
I look forward to finishing this.
