As Hua Qian reaches out to Xi Wu’s outstretched hand, they are interrupted by Cui Zhu, who bears news of Rong Zhou’s severe injury. It comes to light that Rong Zhou jumped off the cliff to save Hua Qian and was injured fighting a masked person at the bottom of the cliff. Hua Qian’s father has a change of heart, opting to retire in the near future. Hua Qian has the Zhong residence monitored, suspecting Shuo Mo will visit Mu Yao prior to leaving the city.
