One of the best!

My husband and i just finished this drama and it is one of our favorites. We like watching the long dramas that focus on family dynamics and this one delivers. It makes you laugh and cry. The acting was spot on with the mom of the 3 boys, Kim Hye Ok, delivering a great performance. We had watched the KBS awards and came away agreeing that Yoon Shi Yoon and Park Ji Young both greatly deserved their awards and it was to bad that the rest of the acting crew could not be given awards as well. After watching Young Lady and a Gentleman and Once Again, two of our favorite longer dramas, this one became a favorite. Worth the time!

Try It You Might Like It.

This a drama you can enjoy or not. I like the story and the characters in the story, but I think is to long. Some of the episodes could have been done away with because to me they where a waist of time. I do enjoy the three brothers and their life's. The family issue was also very interesting. The twist and turns were good except the pregnancy's. The older son wife is pregnant when the 2nd son gets married but then they act like the wife are in the same trimester. Impossible but unless you listen carefully you would not have catch that. The actors gave a great performance to bring sincerity to the story. I enjoy it and loved the ending.

It's a feel good series

I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to make an exception for this one.

I watched It’s Beautiful Now after a long hiatus from the K-drama scene. Honestly, K-dramas had become a bit too predictable for me, but because I’m a sucker for family dramas, I decided to give this one a shot.

How did it go? Well, it started great. Engaging, warm, and full of that nostalgic family charm. But somewhere around the middle, things got draggy and repetitive, and I found myself pushing through rather than enjoying it.

Let’s talk about Mi Rae. I don’t think she was the best fit for this role. Her performance lacked the emotional depth that a mature relationship arc needed. She numbed the chemistry with Hyun Jae, and sadly, what should’ve been a swoon-worthy romance ended up feeling... frustrating. Some of the blame also goes to the writing. Mi Rae started off as this sweet, relatable character, but once the relationship kicked off, she became elusive, insecure, and emotionally immature — not what you’d expect from someone who supposedly helps couples in their 30s navigate life. That inconsistency made it hard to root for her.

Hyun Jae, on the other hand, is a good actor. But his scenes with Mi Rae became so tiring that I began fast-forwarding through them. He was honestly more compelling when he was emotionally distant. The moment he fell in love, it felt like he lost the edge that made him interesting.

Now, let’s talk about the real stars — Hae Jun and Yoon Jae. Their chemistry? Effortless. Natural. Everything about their storyline worked, and to me, they stole the show. Funny enough, even though they’re in their 40s, I looked forward to every scene they shared. That’s how it's done!

As for Soo Jae and Yu Na... let’s not go there. Something was off, and I can’t quite put my finger on it. Whatever it was, their chemistry didn’t work for me at all. I skipped their scenes without guilt. I found the elders’ storyline more emotionally engaging than theirs.

The show could have been much tighter. 50 episodes was a stretch. A clean 30 would have been perfect. It lost momentum midway and never quite regained it. The writing just didn’t sustain the magic it started with.

That said, there were still things I loved. Mi Rae’s mum? A beauty to behold. Her scenes with her father in the later episodes were warm and tender. I appreciated that she chose to retain the name of her adoptive parents and cared for her mum till the end — that was a lovely touch. Her father’s devotion to his wife also warmed my heart. And Mi Rae’s grandmother, who annoyed me at first, eventually grew on me. She wasn’t overbearing — just real. And honestly, isn’t that what family is?

The bond between the families is what gives this drama its glow. That warmth, that closeness — it's the glue that holds the series together.

But I have to ask:
Do Koreans always lose their kids in family dramas? 😅
90% of these shows revolve around a long-lost child, a parent searching, or a surprise sibling. It’s getting a little predictable, and I believe writers can and should explore deeper, more diverse family themes.

Still, It’s Beautiful Now ends well. It’s enjoyable, especially if you’re into big ensemble family dramas. But for me? Nothing beats My Father Is Strange and Five Enough. Those are still the gold standard.

Absolutely Heartwarming

tbh this is the first-ever weekend drama with 50+ episodes that I watched without missing out on a single episode. The story is absolutely heartwarming, and a realistic portrayal of family relationships and relationships between lovers. The story focuses on the dating life of three close knitted brothers and their character development from being immature men to responsible husbands. With a mix of family relationships and twists here and there, the story is spiced up in a way that you don't feel bored at all.

Story about 3 Brothers

The lines are witty and funny. It has a sad storyline or two, but predominately it's a comedy. And that's fine by me as I enjoy it!

My favourite storyline is the oldest brother. My favourite actor is the second brother (he's so cool and he got the best lines!) but her girlfriend is irritatingly timid, I almost can't stand her. The third brother, I skip most of his storyline.

I'm at episode 33 at time of this writing. This drama started very well. But now it's getting a bit stagnant, I might even drop this. Maybe not, who knows. I'm still giving this an 8 as a comedy and a lighthearted family drama.

I would say I enjoy it's predecessor "A Young Lady and a Gentleman" more. I think it could be because I find the male lead there to be more convincing/consistent. I ended up dropping that drama too near the end - but I still have good memories of it, and the OST is so good I still listen to it every now and then!

Entertaining Drama

This is an entertaining family drama. The actress playing Haejun particularly is very good _ funny at times and serious at times. The romance between Mirae and Hyeonjae is the most entertaining to watch. They look good together. I really do not like the story of the youngest son _ they started off in a devious and fraudulent way to con the family. Even if later they really marry each other, it cannot be a good union because the seed from which they started is rotten and a scam. Of course, the elders may have had some fault too for offering a material reward for marriage. I don't fully know the story of Mirae's mom, but she seems to have a lot of hang-ups. It will be interesting to see later how Hyeonjae can overcome the mom's resistance against him. Overall, a good watch _ I intend to finish the series.

Its a good show. I just couldn't finish it though

The beginning pace was soo good, plus kdramas on families always hit the mark.
Nothing to complain about the acting.
However they have a tendency to change male leads hairstyle in between episodes so i take some scenes were filmed at a later date.
All the children stories are being written beautiful and the dynamics between them is very closer to reality than fantasy thus relatable.

The cons...the younger brothers acting is a hmm at worst maybe cause his roll is of a lastborn hence babylike.
It lags in the middle and i was struggling to finish episodes.
You could skip two episodes and not miss much cause no development was happening.

Would love to pick it back up later but for now i lost the enthusiasm i started it off with.

Great Family Dynamic

It’s Beautiful Now was so refreshing that I was sorry to see it come to an end. I have to admit that it took me awhile to get into it because once I figured who was going to paired with whom, I kind of lost interest. Also, I have to admit that after I watched Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life with Oh Min Suk I decided to take a second look at It’s Beautiful Now. I’m glad I did.

This drama was so refreshing because there were no real battles for inheritances or revenge schemes. The father son grandsons loving relationships was heartwarming. The brothers interaction was hilariously funny yet comforting.

Yoon shi Yoon’s and Seo Bum Jun’s performances broke my heart when their characters had broken up with their girlfriends. I found myself happy that I did not have to wait until the 50th episode to see them get back together.. Although I was kind of disappointed that Soo Ja and Yu Na were kept apart for so long. I thought they were the cutest couple of all three relationships.

Like I said, I’m sorry it’s over. However, I will watch again because it was such a feel good drama.

THIS IS MORE INTERESTING THAN THE (THE THIRD CHARM), ALTHOUGH I DONT LIKE THE AUNT AT BOTH FAMILIES, BOTH FAMILY GOT AUNTY , THE FATHER SISTERS. BOTH ALSO VERY MATERIALISTIC N LOOKING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FAMILY.

THE 3 BROTHERS IS INTERESTING AND WORTH A LOOK. DONNO HOW IT END BECOS NOW IS ESP 39 ONLY. THE 1ST BRO N WIFE LIKES TO ACT CUTE WHEN THEY ARE ALREADY MATURED.

2ND BRO IS THE BRAIN OF THE FAMILY. HE IS A LAWYER. 3 RD BRO IS THE BLACK SHEEP AS HE GOT INTO DEBT BECOS OF A SCAM.

WAITING FOR THE ENDING RESULTS. WHETHER THE 2ND BRO GET MARRIED ONOT.

THE COUSIN FAMILY KEEP PUSHING THEIR KIDS TO THE BROS MOM WHICH IS THEIR AUNTY. VERY SHAMELESS.

WAITING FOR THE FINAL.

SURPRISING!!!

“It’s Beautiful Now” completely took me by surprise. I don’t typically enjoy family dramas, but this one drew me in from the very beginning and held my heart until the end. The characters feel real, and their family bond is something truly special—it made me laugh, tear up, and reflect on my own relationships. I grew so attached to them that it felt like I was part of their world. Without a doubt, it’s a perfect 10/10 for me.

Amazing drama!! Loving it so far :)

When I first saw the teaser for this drama and read what it was about, I immediately wanted to start watching it, cause it seems really interesting. And I definitely don't regret it.

Only 7 episodes are out yet, but I already want to know what will happen next, that´s how exciting and interesting this drama is. I usually don´t watch dramas that have more than 20 episodes but I know that I will definitely watch this drama till the end. I'm also really curious how the couples will continue and how their love story will develop!!

Can´t wait for the upcoming episodes!! LOVE THIS DRAMA
