Very inspiring
Its totally amazing c drama. I love it. In the starting i felt it seems boring but as i continued it becomes very interesting,cool, attractive and inspiring. President lu is amazing. He has talked and took care of ye shilan very nicely. Very understanding and not selfish at all. He is really a man with all qualities. This web series' episodes are made very patiently. Its a romantic drama as well as very much to learn with ye shilan life. The way president lu always explain to dr ye is quite amazing. He always respect his assistant and his colleagues. And his family is also very nice. He tried to keep a good environment in hospital and that is very nice thing he did as a president. He supported ye shilan and always motivate her to be optimistic. Devilish Boyfriend ?
It is really good. The male lead is cute and his character is interesting. The plot is quite satisfactory, and the cast is perfect. It shows the seriousness of the relationship and also the work's plot is also good. The second lead is also nice and it's interesting to watch the second couple. The plot of the story is not like the same old and there is no love triangle which makes it unique to watch the main lead pursuing and teasing only the female lead. WATCH IT! YOU WILL NEVER REGRET!
I realized I've watched and love quite a few drama projects under the same scriptwriter~ So I've watched this drama some time ago and I got to say it's one of most sane and not exaggerated couples seen in so many romcom dramas! Yes they do use the typical and commonly seen (dumb) romance plots like when ML and FL first met in the village due to the sudden and "timely" storm and how each other are coincidentally the CEO and subordinate of the same hospital etc. BUT what's really amazing and super appreciated is that everyone is actually acting normally like what happens in true reality including those annoying office politics and higher ups abusing their power in their dept.FL is no naive and weak / nonsensical person, she has views of her own and acts professionally like what an actual doctor do. ML maybe childish at the beginning but he grows as a person as he learn to manage the organisation and those cunning directors that are eyeing on his position. I like how they used a good and realistic way to overcome the crisis during the climax and FL always get jealous with ML's ex while the ML was having fun teasing her~
This drama don't have much marketing done and don't have super popular actors other than Zheng Shun Xi himself but it's sure that they have produced a good story and good acting! I watched it because there is Liang Jie tbh because I've seen some of her roles in previous projects and she is one actress that has the ability to make her roles charming and outstanding even though she's not some pretty looking lady that fans these days are crazy about. I like most of her dramas and I'm glad she is acting in another well produced dramas like this!

Great drama!
I totally enjoyed this drama. I did not have any expectation in the beginning. End up I was hooked by the story. The ML character is very charming unlike the usual dominating role portrayed, while the upper-class man trying to catch thr attention of a working-class woman. The ML and FL have good chemistry. I like how they tricked and disturbed each other, creating many sweet and yet hilarious scenes. The storyline was heart warming too when the FL had some family issues due to her father's death and how the ML helped FL to open her heart to her mum and people around her. The love story of the second couple were great too.I highly recommend this drama if you like something short and sweet, not too fancy nor exaggerating type of sweet comedy romance.

Much better in the second drama
So glad Joseph Zeng and Liang Jie reprise their roles and are working together again! They were both in Time Files and You are Here and honestly that drama didn’t do justice for their acting ability. I wasn’t a huge fan of Joseph Zeng in Time Files and You are Here, so I’m glad to have watched Hi Venus because he can act! I’m so happy we are not acting like the cold boss. Who says the ML can’t have a personality and feelings?I love Liang Jie and she’s so cute and bubbly. I like her when she is comical and doing her comical stunts so I was a little surprised how serious she was in this drama. At times she was a little flat, but her voice is so adorable, it didn’t bother me too much. I just know, there’s a certain acting style I like from her.
Hi Venus is a really easy drama to watch, like Meeting You, it’s very low on angst and very real in feelings. You won’t get the silly C drama troupes (which I do love at times) and it’s a simple story about two people falling in love at work.
I thought the beginning was very comical and the tension was probably most in the first few episodes. The chemistry between the leads is VERY good and so it doesn’t surprise me that they are working together again. The drama doesn’t really focus much on the secondary characters, they are more there to help support the main leads, which is fine, but I know it’s nice to be sucked into a secondary couple at times.
The styling and make-up was fine. You can tell the budget wasn’t so high and the actors wore the same outfits a lot. Like a lot. I do wish they made the FL a little more fashion forward, I felt like she was dressed as a middle aged woman (and that’s me and I don’t even dress like that).
Overall, a really cute and enjoyable drama without so much drama.

sweet surprise
I have always Liang Jie's acting but Joseph zheng's I have a limited knowledge of his work or rather I have not been interested into his discography before this. I find his natural portrayal of the character very good and easy to the eyes. I'll try his other dramas after this.I watched this because of the reviews- no villain and no unnecessary drama. I find myself liking healing dramas lately and it's such a shame I just get to watch this because I dot have anything to watch.
I watched this on Viu and it was a delightful surprise. No over-the-top acting, realistic portrayal of character. ML is not the typical rich spoiled kid- he is very nice and the ideal boyfriend type. FL is not stupid and acting cutesy. She is mature but due to her situation she is in has to be a "Mary Sue". Like everyone who is not in the power, no back ups she has to accommodate and submit. It was good that one of her colleagues stood up as well. Her mom is nice. Actually, both ML and FL's mother are good. Which is kind of rare in Cdramaland.
If you want an easy, relaxed watch go for this.

The best part of this drama or you can say actor & actress that have been work together is no more awkward moment between them. Hehe....This drama is very simple & healthy relationships drama. Quite mature but still cute & adorable. Mature in the term Lu Zhao Xi (ZX) & Ye Shi Lan (SL) as a person & couple. No stupid misunderstanding or silly sulking from one part to tear them apart. Really like how ZX teasing SL, before or after they're become couple.
The only part that I don't too like maybe the last problem related to Gao Xuan's betrayal. The case a little bit confusing & the closing part, apart the result of the case, they tell us nothing about it, make me more unsatisfied.
Overall I watch this for Liang Jie & Joseph Zeng again as a couple & I got what I looked for. I really like the chemistry & interaction between them.

Mellow romance with healthy relationship between main leads
I was curious about this drama after seeing many positive reviews on reddit. They are right. If you are looking for romance with healthy relationship between main leads, then watch this series! I find Joseph Zeng resembles S.Coups and Xu Kai at certain angle.What I liked:
1. Romance - This is one of the few dramas which male and female leads have healthy and mature relationship. I like that they take time to develop their relationship and have a solid base. All the insecurities are rational and discussed. I also like how workplace romance is showcased in this story especially when it involves a boss and subordinate (not equal in status).
2. Lin Kai Wen / Kevin characterisation - I must also say that this is one of the few dramas that have fully fleshed out second male and second female leads. Assistant Lin is the star of this drama. He's calm and rational and has good strategic thinking skills. I am surprised that Zhou Zi Han doesn't have many tv and movie credits - he should act in more tv roles!
3. Jia Yao Yao characterisation - I also like how the writer fleshed out this character. She writes romance but level headed (not too absorbed in the concept of love). She's a great friend. I also like that she's confident in her capabilities and allure. She wasn't coy once she figured out signals given by Assistant Lin and recognised her feelings for him. Li Lin Fei has magnetic smile.
4. Taoyuan Village - I like the scenes in this village even though they aren't many. Nice to see contrast between rural hospital and upscale, big city hospital.
5. The tone - I'd consider this series as light due to the absence of major conflicts (e.g. jealous ex, family drama). However there was a dark/deep issue that was explored in this drama - the passing of Dr Ye's father.
6. Styling - I really like the styling for Lu Zhao Xi and Assistant Lin from the hair to the clothes. Styling for Ye Shi Lan is alright - not a fan of oversized vest over flowy dresses because Liang Jie is petite.
What I disliked:
1. The ending - I felt like there is a cliffhanger at the end of the series. It'd be great if the writer can wrap up the office drama because I'd love to see how Vice President Gao is dealt with.
2. Team dynamics - I would love to see more of the dynamics within paediatric department. Dr Ye's ex boyfriend looked sketchy. What happened to Dr Huang after the free clinic?

How Dr Ye disclosed her boyfriend to her colleagues at Paediatrics Department. I like that she was the one that reveal it, not Lu Zhao Xi.

A pediatrician worked at a hospital run by a new president were facing the life challenges together
Plot/StoryA young man (Lu Zhaoxi) went fishing in a secluded country side when a big rainstorm came into the area, knocking off communication, and causing a major landslide that blocked the only access road back to the City. He was the new president of Anxiang hospital, located in the nearby City. During the storm, he found a young goat, which got injured and went astray from a nearby farm. Dr. Ye Shilan was a pediatrician temporarily working at the Taoyuan Village Clinic. She was looking for her missing goat, and met with Lu and brought them to the clinic. She interrogated him, as she was suspicious that he stole the goat. He could not provide his ID, as his wallet was left in his jeep which was buried by the landslide. He was not successfull in convincing Dr. Ye that he was the president of the Anxing hospital. Later, she also thought of him as a wine smuggler. The village clinic was run by Chief director Li , an acupuncturist; and by her deputy director. Dr. Ye was assigned at the Clinic as she left the Anxing hospital's pediatric department to avoid embarrassment after her confession to her fellow doctor - Dr. Jiang was rejected by him. She was still trying to go back at the hospital, as it was the only way for her to secure financial resources to own her dream home. Dr. Ye made Lu worked hard at the Clinic and the farm. Once the storm passed by and Lu went home, he ordered Dr. Ye to return to Anxing hospital and made her his temporary assistant. It was a surprise for her when she realized that the person who she made to work hard was really the president of the hospital.
The drama evolved around the actions of both Lu and Dr. Ye in the daily life of the hospital operations. Through times, they became close friends and worked together to fight for their places in the hospital. Lu's dad was the previous president of the hospital, and a wealthy person. Lu had to fight his position given by his dad from others who also wanted to have power to run the hospital. He got help from his assistant/ driver - Kevin Lin.
On a rather parallel story starting midway of the drama, Dr. Ye's room mate and close friend (Jia jia) met with Kevin Lin, and eventually became close friends. She worked at a coffee shop and liked writing novel stories based on her room mate. Kevin Lin came frequently and ordered drinks there, before knowing each other through reading and sharing the stories in the social media.

Cast
Actress Liang Jie played the main female character of this drama - Dr. Ye Shilan; while as the main male character of Lu Zhaoxi was played by Actor Joseph Zeng. She is a pretty and a charming actress, and he is a handsome one.
Jia Jia, a close friend of Dr. Ye was played by Li Lin Fei. Kevin Lin, the assistant/ driver of Lu Zhaoxi was played by Zhou Zi Han.
Characters
Both main characters were portrayed very well. We can see the strict character of Dr. Ye at the Clinic, as opposed to the more relaxed Lu Zhaoxi. Lu also had played tricks on Dr. Ye. It was funny the circumstances when they met for the first time at the Clinic; and when she accused him to be a thief at first, and later as a wine smuggler. She was very strict and made him worked very hard at the farm, tending the village's cattles. When Lu returned to the City and run the Anxing hospital, it was his turn to take revenge on Dr. Ye.
As Dr. Ye's close friend, Jia Jia was a bubbly character, imaginative and appeared to provide a lot of input and comments on her best friend's life. The same also with Assistant Lin, who provided info and supported Lu's needs, while also had meetings with other characters such as his dad, VP Gao and Jia Jia.
Taoyuan Village clinic was run by Chief director Li and her deputy director, both were very friendly, understanding characters representing an easygoing, slow paced lifestyle in the country side. Dr. Su later joined the clinic but left near the end of the drama, pursuing his interest on Dr. Zeng at the hospital.
The pediatrician department at the hospital was run by Dr. Xu, who was an experienced scholar, but also used his staff for his own goal to promote himself by selling medical books. The department staff appeared to work closely together, including gossiping and partying off work.
Music
There was no particular music which stood out on this drama. However, there were precious moments that were shared by both Lu/Dr. Ye and Jia Jia/ Lin which have beautiful tunes on the background. In addition, there was a tune which was played to follow specific events to accentuate some of the comedy portions of this romantic drama.

I rewatched some of the episodes to see the details of the drama, and to appreciate the full meaning of the story
Scenery/ Filmography
Overall, the sceneries made in this drama was excellent, although not considered to be spectacular or dramatic. Those who may want to see big celebrations, such as weddings or big parties may be a little bit disappointed.
The country sceneries were nicely depicted in the drama, including views of the water front, flower fields, nice rustic roads around the country's hills and farms.
Personal Comments
- Dr. Ye had a rather unique hair style - a tiny bun on top of her head. It reminded me of a female character of the ancient chinese warrior. One of my favourite was her white dress that she had to wear to meet Lu and Xiao Yu on Lu's birthday occasion (which she thought initially that he bought the dress for Xiao Yu, his old female friend).
- some nice film shots at the swimming pool, and when they play badminton.
- interesting night market scene, where Lu and his father had a meeting and sat in tiny stools while eating skewed meat balls together.
- Jia Jia and Kevin Lu appeared to have a good time at the amusement center, where he won several soft toy prizes for her; and she said that she only wanted two and Kevin handed over the rest to other kids.

So enjoying this beautiful feel good romance drama
With all that’s going on in the world this is a much needed romance drama… with ML and FL that have worked together before. They are a beautiful couple… I love their relationship build up and the FL character build up where she is more confident and attractive. They are so cute.. I continue to smile in each episode. This drama is giving off good vibes…. I love the parents and though they have different backgrounds they both match in their professional and private interests . ML and FL compliment each other.. this is definitely a rewatch… adding to my favorite drama listWas this review helpful to you?
