Nice story line and interesting
I have finished episode 4 when I write this review.The casts suits their roles (needless to say about the female lead being Seo Ye Ji) and interesting storyline.
I really hope she can have closure as soon as possible.
Her outfits, make up and voices is amazing and suits exactly with this drama. Although the male lead is not the handsome type like Kim So Hyun or Lee Joon Ki that we used to watch Seo Ye Ji with, he really suits the character. I’m now interested in how second Ml will contribute in this drama. Will he also in love with FL? So many unknowns.

Everyone seemed to be acting in their own separate drama and then meeting in the edit.
Ah, guys. I don't know what happened between me and Eve. I really don't. This was supposed to work. The ingredients are all there: OTT melodrama, cheating, brawling, chaebol families, revenge, betrayal , honestly, it has everything it needs to be a good drama.And I'm not surprised the story works. I hear a production company in England has picked up Eve for a remake, which shows the bones are good. The problem is that somewhere between the bones and the finished product, somebody lost the plot.
I don't know if it was casting, directing, editing, pacing — probably a little bit of everything — but something was fundamentally misaligned. The exposition is fine, the story itself is intriguing, but the pacing is just off. And then there is the chemistry. Or, more accurately, the complete absence of it.
Have you heard of this instance where an actor isn't available on the day of filming, so one person performs their side of the scene and the other comes in later, and then the editors stitch it together so it looks like they're in the same room? I genuinely felt like Eve was doing that half the time. Everyone seemed to be acting in their own separate drama and then meeting in the edit.
Song Ye-ji's character, Eve, was fundamentally misaligned with almost every man in her orbit. Her husband? No chemistry. The man she's having an affair with? No chemistry. Her childhood saviour? Still no chemistry. And these are supposed to be the emotional anchors of the entire story! There was nothing pulling me into any of these relationships.
And don't even get me started on Sora. As a standalone chaebol villain, she actually works. She's cartoonish, yes, but at least she commits to the assignment. She emotes, she goes for it, and honestly, she sometimes seemed to be the only person who had received the memo about what drama she was starring in. Her father, played by a veteran actor, is perfectly fine, but even he is fighting a very thin script.
That's really the problem with Eve. It is so heavily stylised that the styling starts doing the emotional work the drama itself isn't doing. It is gorgeous to look at, absolutely. But at some point, beautiful clothes, beautiful sets and beautiful lighting cannot substitute for pathos.
I needed movement. I needed fluidity. I needed to feel why these people wanted each other, hated each other, loved each other, betrayed each other. Instead, everything felt strangely airless and disjointed.
And I really tried. I picked it up, dropped it, picked it up again, dropped it again. By the eighth episode, it was taking me three to five days to finish one episode. At that point, the relationship between me and Eve was more complicated than any relationship actually happening in the drama.
Honestly, I think Eve needs the remake.
I'm actually looking forward to the British version because I think there is a genuinely good story buried in here. Give it better casting alignment, better chemistry, more emotional grounding and a little less obsession with looking expensive, and you might actually have something.

disappointed
I really like Seo Yea Ji in IOTNBO, so I really excited for her next drama. Especially having Park Byeoung Eun as the ML, acting wise it's a sure guarantee that it's gonna be good. I had high expectations. But after watching 6 episodes, I'm really disappointed. The acting were great, all the actors/actresses were really good, but I don't enjoy watching it. I don't know if the director intended to film it this way, or if it's the editing problem, I just can't stand all the unnecessary extremely slow motion and blurry scenes, especially during the steamy scenes and scenes that focused solely to capture SYJ's impeccable beauty. I get that she's very very beautiful, but please enough with the blurry very extreme slow motion. Already watched 6 episodes so far, still going no where, not much story development, a lot was still in wraps. With this kind of storyline, either it's gonna have second season or it's gonna have a very rushed finish in a few last episodes. A lavish series in every sense of the word. Very slow,too slow. Boring, one-dimensional characters who are a pain to watch. A super basic plot, a Monte Cristo-style revenge story we've seen a thousand times before. However, it varies slightly because the heroine finds herself caught up in someone else's revenge (her adoptive mother’s) and breaks free from it without much effort. In fact, nothing really serves as an obstacle or a climax in this story. Most of the time, you're just waiting for it to end.If the point was to make me hate chaebols, I already hated them before. Missed the mark.
If the point was to see a deadly, venomous Seo Yea-ji with a slender figure, then mission accomplished. Yoo-sun looks extremely elegant despite her unlikable character. I only watched for the two of them. The rest of the cast is boring to the extreme.
Episode 1 ended up being the most interesting, thanks to its editing that jumps between different time frames. And yet it still felt very slow for no good reason. Next, the synopsis misleads us a bit by saying that Lee Ra-el isn't rich. She's fully part of the world of the wealthy that she wants to destroy. (Or else, I'd be happy to be poor like her) And by "destroy", I mean "break up a marriage that was already broken from the start." Nice work, young lady !
Their whole Piazzola bandoneon thing, I don't get any of that nonsense. Their whole tango thing, what a bore !
And the age gap. I won't say anything rude, but I still think what I think.

the lead actress is absolutely beautiful! Nice storyline, great acting, I am engaged!
Let me start off by mentioning again how beautiful is the female lead!!! Not just her physical appearance, her acting and the way she carries herself is also beautiful! Her character is in pain and yet she just manages to show grace and beauty. I wasn’t sure what I was walking into when I started watching this show just by the synopsis. I love female centric plots but I can’t stand self centred female leads, so I was praying that her character wasn’t that way. So far, I am right.In the beginning I was kind of worried about her husband getting hurt by her but as it turns out he doesn’t really matter (you will find out why).
The male lead also looks in so much pain. Though he seems to be the prime target of the female lead, why do I get the feeling that he is innocent? Only time can tell that.
The second male lead, the lawyer dude, seems like a viable love interest for the female lead. He looks like the kind of person who would try to stop her from getting her revenge because he is “concerned” for her safety, and eventually might fall in love with her character. Now this is such a situational thing, because if the male lead is innocent he’s the guy for the female lead, otherwise the second male lead would take the cake.
The second female lead, the wife of the male lead, also has something about her. She made my blood boil through her entitlement yet I absolutely loved her character. Though she isn’t a nice person, but everything about her personality made me go “offf what a woman she is”. Personally, I would enjoy watching her downfall.
The supporting characters, particularly the second female lead’s father and his right hand man are those who would make you anxious, make your blood boil, and piss you off to an extent of no coming back. There won’t be any redemption for these two. They will suffer the most by the end. I am here to see that happen!!!
And finally the music!!! The OST is just beautiful. It makes you go dayum I can’t skip this part. The actors act beautifully to it.
Overall, so far I am hooked to this shizz. Can’t wait to see what happens!

So. Boring.
Right I'm going to put it out there I didn't finished this drama I tried....I really tried but the ML WAS SOOOO BORING and the drama was pretty much a let down. This is my opinion but I'm pretty sure they had Seo Yea Ji in this drama because she is a well known actress and she might carry the show.Idk if this ML is a rookie or a "known" actor but his character was sooo dry he wasn't giving me ✨AHJUICY✨ he was giving me ✨AhJudry✨, his wife in this show was a spoiled, unbearable brat ugh I wanted to slap her, all that screaming and tantrums is such an ick
I love Seo Yea Ji but her character was fine but not memorable, that one scene where the ML was reading something and her character was just tangoing behind him was just soooo awkward 😆
The sex scenes where just really unnecessary and forced, in episode 6 they were going at it like a bunch of rabbits it was really uncomfortable 😆

the subtility of the story
I really loved this masterpiece, from the story line to the setting and unraveling of the plot was epic and wonderful.I came here for the Ye ji who played lee lael, she's good at delivering emotions. but the character Kang Yoo kyum captured my soul, he's story unraveled through his eyes and little gestures the actor is definitely my new favourite he delivered the character exceptionally well.
the tango theme though I'm currently new to but they sparked my interest with it, is it something you need or want? can it heal you? do you use it to hide your pain? those are the questions when you see how the theme works well with the story.
I recommend watching it because it's beautiful and to a large extent logical since most movies nowadays like making plots that just don't add up, I wouldn't really rewatch because I tend to hate movies after watching them again and damn the drama's pretty heavy not too dark but really not light either. great watch.

Eve is about real/sun bin who plots a revenge against the people responsible for the death of her father and disappearence of her mother 13years ago.
The master mind behind it : Han So Ra the daughter of an influencal politician and wife to a rich chaebol (chairman of LY Group) Kang Yoon-gyeom, So Ra is the main antagonist of the show.
Sun bin is helped in her revenge by Seo Eun pyeong.
Characters:
Kim sun bin/ rael (28 yo)
The main protagonist, she represents Aphrodite
Her attractive looks helps her in seducing the cold hearted Kang Yoon-gyeom.
She suffers from sever PTSD along with other psychological issues ( such as self harm).
Han So Ra (45 yo)
She represents Hera.
The only daughter of a politician and wife to Kang Yoon-gyeom, a strong woman who looks like she has everything but one thing : the love of her husband.
Kang Yoon-gyeom (41 yo)
He represents Poseidon
CEO of LY group and his father's successor, he is the richest man in Korea.
Cold and workaholic, his only goal is to succeed. His life changes when he meets Sun bin whom she becomes his obsession.
Seo Eun pyeong (38yo)
He represents Orpheus
A charismatic politician, youngest presidential candidate.
He is the only one aware of sun bin / Rael's past, he becomes her guardian angel and risk his own life to help her achieve her revenge.
The good:
Seo yeji's acting: that woman can definitely act ! She convoys her emotions incredibly...no matter what other people say about her, yeji is a great actress and a very talented one!
The duo sora/ Rael was just mind blowing, they pushed and pulled thorought the show and made it their own
Each episode keeps you on edge ! You can't stop watching, wanting more and more ...this show will surprise you in so many ways.
The cast: the four main lead are amazing in their own, each character added to the show a beautiful touch.
The reference to the Greek mythology
The fashion !!! This show is a true fashion show
The bad:
The pace in this drama is pretty slow, the revenge element happens at the end of the show
The characters lack depth, a part from sunbin/rael no character has a real backstory so it's difficult to connect with them throughout the show ( ex: So ra has a compulsive disorder but we don't know much about it, we only know that her father used to physically abuse her, we're supposed to understand her constant anger and rage but we don't have any backbone to it)
Almost no chemistry between the two main characters: the chairman is madly in love with sunbin/ Rael but we as viewers don't feel it .. it comes a cross as weird stares and creepy behavior from Kang gyeom
The makeup of seo yeji, it sounds weird talking about the makeup in a review but please watch for yourself!
The messy scenario and plot holes, the writers have missed so many stuff that sometimes it's hard to follow ( ex: where is sora and Kang gyeom's first daughter? )
The ending! What a waste !! Bad ending, rushed ..
This might be good to some but I didn't enjoy the sex scenes honestly not my thing
Do I recommend it ? Absolutely! If you look for a melodramatic soapy show this the right one for you...please be prepared for a turbulent ride.

Eve is the most impactful K-drama I have ever watched. Not the loudest. Not the most twist-heavy. The one that stays in the room after it ends.
This is a revenge melodrama that pretends, at first, to be about a 2-trillion-won divorce and a woman who spent 13 years preparing to destroy a chaebol family. That plot is only the frame. What Seo Yea-ji actually gives you is a woman who has already lost her original life, puts on a second face, and then discovers that the weapon she chose — desire — will not stay under her control. It is disturbing and beautiful at the same time. I have not seen another Korean drama hold that contradiction so steadily.
Sei Yea-ji:
This is a spectacular performance. Lee Ra-el is not written as a simple femme fatale. She is composed, precise, almost ceremonial. Seo plays her as someone who learned how to look harmless and how to look lethal, and who can switch between those two things without raising her voice. The stillness is the acting. When warmth finally appears, it feels like a crack in the plan, not a romantic beat the show is handing you for free.
It still seems incredible that after this she was effectively kept off K-drama leads for more than four years, with no new series announced even now. Whatever one thinks of the off-screen noise that preceded Eve, the work on screen here is not the work of someone who should have disappeared. This is the kind of role people remember an actress for.
The rest of the cast and the production:
The supporting work is excellent, and the show needs it. Park Byung-eun makes Kang Yoon-gyeom more than a rich husband who falls. You can see the ambition, the guilt, and the appetite. Yoo Sun’s Han So-ra has real force; she is not scenery for the affair. Lee Sang-yeob gives the story a second moral temperature, someone who loved Ra-el before the mask hardened. None of them feel like they are waiting for the lead to finish a scene.
The production matches that seriousness. The clothes, the houses, the tango, the way rooms are lit — it all treats the story as something expensive and doomed, not as weekly scandal television. It looks like a drama that knew it was aiming for a myth, not just a ratings spike.
The Adam and Eve echo:
The title is not decoration. This is a tragic story that keeps circling the biblical one: a protected world, a man who already has everything, a woman who offers what he is not supposed to take, and a fall that neither of them can pretend was an accident. Ra-el is both the planner and the fruit. Kang is not dragged; he walks. That is why the romance hurts instead of saving anyone. The show lets beauty and ruin occupy the same scenes. That is rare, and it is why Eve feels older than 2022.
Why it is a 10:
Plenty of K-dramas do affairs, chaebols, and revenge. Eve does something narrower and harder. It is a designed scandal that becomes a love story without forgiving anyone, including the heroine. It is stylish without becoming empty, cruel without becoming a cartoon, and emotionally large without begging for tears every episode.
I would call it a timeless work of art. A 10 out of 10 is not a casual score for me. This is the drama I measure others against when they try to turn desire, power, and punishment into the same story.

Love or Revenge
There are only few series or dramas that I can’t predict the ending… like this one… on torn on between the happy ending and reality that it will not be a healthy relationship.In terms of acting, Yea Ji topped her performance in it’s okay not to be okay. Dang! Absolutely perfect. Others were also brilliant.
The story is quite interesting… cause it’s a bit more realistic… you can’t just stop revenge cause you fell in love… but kinda jealous of her… damn! All those 3 men were crazy over her…char!

Revenge, retribution, scandalous affairs and betrayal… this drama has it all and more
I loved everything about this drama.. except for the ending which I find is the case with 85% of the dramas I’ve seen.Characters? For the most post Loved them… Well written and portrayed very well…I just wish that the Male lead would have displayed a bit more emotion. I know his character was “going through” as we say but I’m not sure he had anything other than a blank look on his face the entire show And the antagonist? Well let’s just say I loved to hate them .. which shows that the actors did their jobs well.
Revenge, retribution, scandalous affairs and betrayal… this drama has it all and more. The plot, Although a bit cliche’. Was portrayed well enough to keep me interested .The story line flowed smoothly and kept me wanting more.
Standout characters:
Han-So Ra (Yoo Sun)
Han Po Ra (Jeon Gook-Hwan)
These two played their roles extremely well. Had me wanting to jump through the screen to fight them that’s how much I disliked these characters especially Han Po Ra. I had a like/ hate relationship with Han So Ra. The one time I started to feel sorry for her… she was quick to let me know why she deserved everything she got and more. Awesome characters and the fact that I got so emotionally involved in wanting them to get their just desserts.. Is a testament to how well they were written and portrayed.
