don't expect too much
some good characters, but such terrible couples and annoying power dinamics... the story is weak and shallow, it gets a little interesting with the family "accident", but it took too long for that, honestly I just stayed in the hopes of seeing payoo happy - which didn't actually happened.I hate how payoo is always humiliated by his status - cuz his dad wants him to stay that way and his master doesn't help much cuz he is jealous of everyone and everything, for fucks sake, and how his ending is not satisfactory at all - not even a mention on the homofobic dad. dude was born to suffer.
pie and petch is the worst couple I've ever seen, pie hated petch from the fucking start, dude. it's just sad that he petch couldn't find anyone better.
KimSun is ok, just so very fucking slow.

Second couple stole the show
I should preface this review by saying I’m not a huge OhmFluke fan and I specifically watched this to see Peterpan (Payoo.) Previous reviews and comments stated that RainPayoo were the best part, so I decided even if it was bad overall it would be worth it for me to watch. That said, it wasn’t as bad as I expected. The story does have some flaws, including no real motive for the villain (other than greed) and a story that dragged through the middle. Plus RainPayoo don’t really get a satisfying ending. It’s not a sad ending for them as much as a neglected one. They deserved to have their story wrapped up officially, happily, and on screen. As for KimSun (OhmFluke,) the idea of their story was good but it took too long for them to get together. Also, too much time was spent on their health scares and issues and not enough story devoted to them having quality time together. It’s also a problem in a romance when the couples are apart for a third of the episodes. This applies to all the couples. Having a villainous twist to the story is fine but not when it turns into filler episodes.The reason l still gave this a 7.5 is because KimSun were sweet to watch, there were other interesting friendships and relationships, and I adored RainPayoo. Plus I love a good villain takedown. Overall it had happy endings for everyone, if some were more explicit than others.
Peterpan was so good in this. Every expression on his face told a story. It did feel like everyone else paled in comparison. He had good chemistry with his onscreen partner too, even if we didn’t get enough scenes of them together. As far as rewatch value, I see that someone has made RainPayoo edits of the series, so I would just watch those. Nothing else was really tempting to rewatch.
Also, regarding the music. The feeling of the music they used fit the story well, but it was obvious that it didn’t match what the actors were playing when they were supposed to be playing music. And this is coming from someone who knows very little about music. I did grow up with siblings who played the violin, though, and I was impressed with Ohm’s vibrato (left hand vibrations.) i rarely see actors who can achieve this consistently when pretending to play string instruments.
I would say this was worth watching for RainPayoo or any diehard Peterpan fan, but don’t expect to get as much as you want from their story.

This was more of A Telenovela or Soap Opera than usual BL drama.
So I'm a pretty big OhmFluke Fan. I've seen all of their main content together, this was the only remaining project of theirs I had yet to watch. I finally got around to checking it and saw how poorly reviewed it was, way more than positive reviews. However that's never stopped me from checking things out on my own, opinions exist for a reason anyway. You should always form your own.After the first like 3 Episodes I kind of figured that this was more of a Soap Opera style Formula, not the usual BL drama series that most of us are used to. Figuring that out is why I was way more understanding and lenient than I normal would be when something is So LONG and drawn out. I gave it a chance for the obvious reason. I love OhmFluke. And while yes it was slow and clunky and at times had me giving bombastic side eye, I let most of those moments slide. If you're someone who grew up watching Spanish Telenovelas like I did, you would know those shows are always chaotic and ridiculous and melodramatic, they don't always make sense and that's okay. It's meant to be silly and over the top most of the time.
Basically the good relies on OhmFluke being good at what they do, some of the other actors as well being likeable and eye candy, such as the ones who play Payoo and Rain.
If you can be open minded, patient and lenient for certain things then this is actually not a bad watch. It can be at times.
I don't think you should let other peoples drastic reviews completely deter you. I saw people complaining about there being too many Plastic Plants, and Apples and other ridiculous reasons like that for hating on it, Feel free to try it yourself. I enjoyed it a pretty decent amount.
This is Still better than some other overrated ones that I shall not name for obvious reasons.

Worth to watch series
I love this show! This show is amazing i would say. Personally i find it new because i haven't seen any other BL shows that has a similar vibe to this show. At first sight you might think that this is a fantasy, but after you watch the entire episodes you'll not think like that again. This show has a little bit a fairy tale vibe to it, it's really cute! And i think they hired the actual orchestra because it feels so real. You'll find some familiar faces on this show. I love the characters development and the improvement on each pair. If you like slow burn, this one is good for you!The scene is so beautifully shot, the lighting, the color tone, the mood, and the soundtrack is wonderful too.
I'm happy that this show will have 16 episodes in total, definitely worth it because you will see the details and how the story is going yo the very end.

Everything comes to the right place
Oh! My Sunshine Night is a very interesting show to watch, especially if you like to overanalyze details and the meaning behind them. The story is full of tiny hints that show we're not even close to know what exactly is going on. All the characters are built to show that they're humans with good and bad things about themselves. Sun is fierce, but hides his heart condition from everyone; Kim looks cold on the outside, but it's actually warm and cares for the ones he loves; and all the others are also rich and help to make the series completed.Every dialogue gives hints about a different story behind what is presented to us: Kim's flashbacks are our best way to solve the mystery behind all that and each passing episode things get more clear.
If the story is a bit mysterious, the cinematography is a whole meal and pretty clear! It's a joy for the eyes to see beautiful scenes! And the quality!! I simply love it!
I like the way they let the audience make its own job trying to understand what is going on. You won't find "funny sound effects" signaling that it was a joke and you should laugh, but they will also show you long scenes with little to no lines, a minimalist way to portray the characters' emotions.
In short, I am really anxious to see what will happen in the future!

My personal Opinion
This is definitely not for those who look for wild romance not even who expect cute and fluffy scenes.This js just a slow burn romance. The actors did well with their acting but the direction is poor and script(I meant the lines) are too shabby and not catching. There are lot of scenes which doesn't make sense and gets you annoyed.
The story is too predictable and nothing special to catch my interest.
I really like slow burns and the actors here. Thats the only reason I am still watching.

Since I noticed that here fans of some give negative ratings to others, and mine 10, I very realistically watched the series and will have to watch it again, because it makes sense.
There is a lot of illogicality, similar to science fiction series, almost everyone is chasing each other, but OK, it's a bit slow and then it sort of resolves itself...
But unlike some dog or cat series, this is a premium for them

The story starts from episode 2
Oh my sunshine night is quite interesting. The first episode hardly reveals anything except a guy with heart problem. Another guy that's best described by all as a " Zombie" and his superstar brother and his ever follow -around bodyguard. The plot is quite confusing and the first two episodes reveals no spark between the two main characters. Sun coming to the faculty of music is weird and Khim going around always grumpy and emotionless is daunting. I'm about to watch episode 4 and all I can say is never judge a book by its cover. Don't judge Oh my sunshine night by its first episode. There's a lot to discover yet!Edit: okay I just finished watching episode 4 and I can say that Rain and Payool are stealing the show! The lead couples however seems intent on catching up with them if I'm to by the preview for episode 5. As for the third couple...well they're more like cats and dogs for now

Nonsensical.
First thing I want to say: I want the telephone number of the director&screenwriter's drug dealer.Noone, and I repeat: NO-ONE in their right mind would be able to write something so badly, direct it in such a sloppy way, and make so many bloopers.
STORY
I think I still have to get the story, there's a bit of everything like a fruit salad (but made with rotten fruits) and tons of people who randomly take their shirts off (which is a plus point).
Really: this so-called plot had SO MANY threads that were poorly connected (or not even connected), from the narration to the characters to the motives to the timings... jeez.
CAST
Let's admit it: we were almost all here for OhmFluke. They are cute. Stiff, but cute.
Well, here they are cute but their scenes are endlessly slow for NO reason. They really made me lose all my patience.
I loved RainPayu obviously, they could have saved the show (PeterPan turns out to be quite a good actor! The few scenes he had in the final episode were perfectly acted!) BUT the day in which they were supposed to do so, the director smoked something heavy and instead it was decided to eliminate them.
Chun was honestly beautiful, like a greek statue.
I liked Petch. Pie could have lost himself in the woods and we would have survived.
Honorable mention to O who was super cute and acting normal among all of the shit we've seen.
MUSIC
The worst ost ever. Plus, the volume was always over the top for no reason and the rhythm was always off.
REWATCH
Suggested as a torture method in a Clockwork Orange style.
It deserved a 3. But Noh and PeterPan made my heart melt.

Actually pretty solid
I actually love the story and the overall tone of the series. The pace is slow, and I think it fits the theme of the series itself. I view this closer to soap opera than a series. It has the meat and character stories that are fresher than other BL out there.The leads are Ohm and Fluke that have been paired already once. I actually love Fluke's character here. He is more nuanced than UWMA in my view. Ohm's character is a bit stiff in my view. He was a bit monotonous for my taste at the moment. I hope to see more from him as the seriss progress.
I will continue to watch it though.

A lot of holes in story.
I am sorry to say i was very disapointed. With this cast i was expecting a great story. Episode gives you nothing but eye candy. The dialoge is week and gives you nothing. The whole episode was nothing but riddles. I think they are trying to buikd up the mystery ot intrigue but came up short. In my opinion if you have to go in an explain in the next scene what happened in previous scene something is not right. I will give it one more episode. If as disappointing as the first one i will drop it. The cast did great considering what they have to work with.Was this review helpful to you?
