Short drama with theatre show feelings

This story plays mostly in historical setting which I preferred to the modern setting. It was fast paced, funny, clever, full of scheming and clichés, but still unexpected. The quality of the costumes and the set was very good and the acting was not bad either. I think the females did great job. I really liked the character of the 6th prince, he had great chemistry with the FL.

This is no time travel drama but more a "dream", where the female lead lives in her changed script and tries to survive the fight between all the consorts. The story switches also to the modern world, so we understand the female lead and her story better.
The episodes are very short, story is about 2-3 Minutes + nice ending OST...but I still enjoyed them and was looking forward how the story continues. With last episodes were little bit rushed in the modern setting and also very surprising to me on the other way, the historical ending felt more finished and somehow I expected it will happen like this.

Although very short, it is entertaining theatrical series with nice quality.

Simple yet Complex & Simple yet Grand

Whenever I begin a drama, my busy life often makes it hard to finish those with a long run of episodes. Yet, when I do complete one, it feels deeply satisfying — almost like an achievement. I care about the plot, of course, but I find myself caring just as much about the number of episodes. Short dramas help me reach that sense of fulfillment more easily, washing away the guilt of not keeping up with new releases.

This particular drama had a plot that was intelligently woven and carefully planned. I’ve always felt that writing a story with a massive cast is easier than sustaining intensity with only a handful of characters. Here, though the cast was small, the script made full use of every element, weaving them together with remarkable precision.

The acting overall was strong. I noticed the drama because of the actress who played Su Miao, and it was worth it — she wasn’t the driving force of the story, but she became the final key that unlocked the climax.

As for the ending, I wasn’t disappointed. In the novel, she had him; so at least let Su Miao have him in this space and time.
