A savory love story
They served a wholesome menu with visually appealing actors and a delightful progression of their story. I have fun watching the main characters dwell in making romance between them happen once again. The script was okay for a small film project yet the actors shined so brightly that made the story more consumable.Jung Do Hoon was a ball of sunshine here. Having such a tall figure, an intelligent marketing mind, and a kind-hearted heart. I easily fell in love with him and his personality. Working in a workplace where it seems toxic and overworked was too pitiful. Thankfully, his boss wasn’t that bad and protected him during the conflict with their client. If I were him, I don’t know if I can manage to survive working in such an environment.
The chef on the other hand, Lee Yoon Soo, was a sweet talker in a literal and positive way. I love his gentleness and for always caring for his loved ones. He has one of the sweetest speaking voices in Korean BLs -soft and lovely. I understand how he fell in love with his hyung, Jung Do Hoon, and wanted to take good care of him every day. Because our marketing boy is someone who you can feel too happy just to see him being happy, in short, he is an adorable big boy.
The conflict of the ex-boyfriend and suitors that happened between them was shortly executed and made a segway to how Jung Do Hoon kept the food that the chef prepared for him, untouched. It is both a good and bad way of transitioning a conflict to another conflict. Good in a way that we should know the feelings of the person who prepared food and cooked for us, the care and effort are priceless. Bad way in a form that the couple should solve the third parties involved with their relationship with deep communication involved. As a viewer, I enjoyed the other party being jealous but at the end of the day, I want for a proper talk between them that somehow doesn’t happen again in the finale.
Overall, Bon Appetit was another light BL that made me so happy until the end. I love the chemistry between the couple and I hope to see more of them in their next projects with the hope that they will be paired once again.

SUCH A WARM DRAMA THAT I FELT HUNGRY AND FELL INLOVE
Let me just say that this drama is so beautifully made ! like, I can't get enough of it, I just lay my head down watched and later I knew I finished watching it ! , This is such a warm drama , it is easy to fall inlove with it, I felt everything, the vibe is so heartwarming that this drama is so different from the other KBL'sI am a fan of Korean dishes ever since and I enjoyed seeing food in this drama, I felt hungry real time ! everything is so adorable, I can't describe how I liked it, This will be from now on added to my top favorite Kdrama !
It was so refreshing to see story like this, At first I kinda had a hint that there was an intention for chef Yoon Soo living right next to Jung Dae-ri's apartment , And I was right ! The story is easy to understand that made me wanna see what will happen next , The past flashback school scene was very very cute and its so nice ! I really had a good vibe ! I also love the team mates of Jung Dae-ri I can relate to him in many ways.
The intern Sang woo was kinda annoying at first but I saw the sense of having him in the story, I like his acting too. Yoon Soo actor kinda looks like Seo In Guk , and Ki Taek ! I know him and I've been seeing him in some Kdrama's and I never knew he is this handsome !
I just love everything here, everything is just so adorable, like this drama has checked every boxes of my likes on a drama, it is just simple but heartfelt. I just hoped that it is longer, I hope it did not just ended after their reconciliation
I want to thank everyone who did this drama, this really made me happy, hungry and fell in love, I had fun and good time !
I would definitely re watch this many many times in my life OMG !
About the Kissing Scene, it is just perfect as what the theme and story requires for me, one thing I love about KBL , it is that they are not steamy , but focuses on the love story, off course with the numerous ex lover coming back after the lead have moved on thing that is always on KBL's ,--which is actually in here too, is the only thing I don't like anymore , but here in Bon Ape tit, that part of ex coming back is just short so it is okay for me , I am satisfied.
Let me just acknowledge Yoon Seo Bin here everyone ! I so missed him, specially I want to see him again with Jiwoong, He is as adorable as ever so happy for him to have a part here ! 😍
The drama is not rushed, everything is just at the right place, longer or not it is fine, the ending is fine even it just ended after Yoon Soo came back, it is still okay and satisfying, no wasted time here, So beautiful, I never hesitated to give this a high rating ! yeah that's all, I hope you watch it too ❤️

Sweet Fun Series
This series was so sweet, funny, and a joy to watch. Lots of fluffy moments. The leads are fun and have good chemistry. They lead you on a little adventure of finding each other again and having 2nd chances at love. The story was good and playful to keep my attention. The characters and side people help make you see lots of real-life moments. I like that it showed you the emotions and hard work in its bad and good times. There was jealousy, love, tears, and amazing food being shown to us. I greatly enjoyed the series for all it gave me. The only down part was I wish it was longer and showed what it was like in the future for them would have been fun to see. This is a sweet and fun take on love and laughter. Was this review helpful to you?

Light & Nice
Director Hwang Kyu effectively utilized a restrictive amount of time to produce this lighthearted short series. It touched a little bit of many aspect of life such as the reality of responsibilities in life relating to relationships and work. It also lightly addressed bullying be it at work or in relationships. I enjoy how a lot of things were included in this series even though I can see how difficult it must have been for the screenwriters and the director. I like the right balance of humor, comedy, & romance.
The actors did a great job in portraying their individual roles. Casting is effective and harmonious. For such a light series, the scene werein Yoo Jung Hun was talking about his mom made my tears roll down my face without me realizing it. He can act and can elicit emotions even though it was such a simple scene.
Production worked hard and it is evident with the props and set design. It effectively provided the ambiance for the scenes. I think wardrobe can be better tho.
I am so happy that Yoon Seo Bin played a part in this series. Kissable Lips sequel is currently on hold for some reason, I can only guess that it is because Kim Ji-woong made it to the the idol group ZeroBaseOne and agency thinks it wont be good for an idol group image to have a BL series attached to one of the members of the group when theyvare barely starting.
Overall, it is the type of series that you think you’ll not need to watch again but when you do, youll be happy that you did.

Not overly delicious, but still entirely edible
If I had to describe this show in one word I would go with "harmless". It's a sweet enough story without much bite (pun intended) but with some quite lovely moments. And that's about it.Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike this show, it's perfectly fine. But personally I just didn't get very much out of it.
The actors did a good job and the editing and music were solid. The chemistry between the leads was good as well and I did quite enjoy some of the supporting characters.
I just also felt like there was something lacking. Sure, there were plot holes, but nothing particularly egregious or bothersome.
I occasionally had some trouble understanding certain characters' motivations, but liked them all well enough. Some of the conflicts were a bit ridiculous, but they weren't drawn out unnecessarily and over all the characters communicated with each other quite well.
I couldn't tell you exactly which of these things reduced my enjoyment of the story so much. Maybe it's all of them together.
But there are quite a lot of people who enjoy this show and I can understand why. It's a sweet, low-stakes, low-angst romance between to people who seem to genuinely care about each other and aren't afraid to show casual physical affection.
There are also a few novel aspects to the story such as the dreaded "love rival" who turns out not to be much of a rival at all and instead turns into a supportive friend.
But above all, the show is incredibly easy to watch. It's easy to understand, easy to like, and easy on the eyes.
You can blaze through it in a breezy 3.5 hours and, if nothing else, walk away with a feeling of not entirely having wasted that time.
So, while I personally didn't get much enjoyment out of the series and certainly wouldn't rank it among the greats of food-centered romances (of which I am usually quite a big fan), I would still recommend giving it a watch.
Maybe you'll find yourself vaguely disappointed, but maybe you'll enjoy it quite a lot. Either way, it's worth a shot.

One of the weaker Korean BL's
Often I've found these short Korean BL's to fly past however this one dragged along and I struggled to finish it.Although the basic story is fine and the acting is on the whole decent, the implementation just didn't really work and I was never invested in the characters and was never deperate to watch the next episode.

Easy & Light, Lost the Charm Towards the End
Overall, the first few episodes is what made the story really stick out, with the descriptive cutscenes of Yoonseo cooking and the dynamic between the two from within his origin of how they met and why he started cooking. The introduction of the secondary love interest (intern) was okay, but I generally dislike when a mc has to be spoon fed every ounce of advice by another character. The intern and Dohoon’s conversations together were basically better developed than the actual main couples and they gave the intern so much unnecessary screen time with the advice and prying of the relationship.
The main conflict isn’t that bad, just makes you cringe a little with how cliché it is, especially with the ex and then the intern conspiring against Yoonseo which was annoying. I actually like how food was the main result of the conflict, though seeming childish, it is the center of their relationship where Yoonseo is able to show his love and affection for Dohoon.
To conclude, their relationship was not well developed. If they gave more time to developing the gradual connection Dohoon began to feel with Yoonseo instead of the intern and ex plotline, I would’ve enjoyed it more. It is an easy watch with a charming food quality, but the overall relationship of the MCs is what fell flat as it could’ve been expanded on way more.

Best K-BL Contender
I whole heartedly reccommend this perfect wholesome endearing charming Bon Appetit.I was completely taken by surprise by this drama because i expected it to be a definite fail for me. I ended up binge watching it in one evening just because i could not get enough of the acting and the directing.
They're definitely giving Semantic Error a run for its money, they're definitely in the top 5 korean bls for me.
It doesn't feel like a bl project at all tho, it actually remindes me of Gaus Electronics
Not only the two male leads are exactly on point with their characters, also the supporting actors, the office team, are so natural like they have experience with regular standard korean dramas. There is nothing cringey or stiff or misplaced in their performances.
There is one scene in the final episode, when they are on set filming for the commercial, that just gives me euphoria and satisfaction as a watcher.
I have to admit that i am very biased towards Lee Ki Taek, he simply made it look and feel so real and serious and i could totally see him in a more tragedy or thriller drama. For a while he made me think of Kim Rae Won from First Responders, but don't ask me why
Lots of appreciation and thanks to every one of the people who chose to participate in this project and gave me comfort and entertainment during chaotic times

Bon Appétit: A Review Worth Savoring
I just finished Bon Appétit, and let me tell you—I’ve never felt so full in all the right ways. This cozy, slice-of-life KBL isn’t just a love story; it’s a delicately plated course of comfort, conflict, healing, and heart. From the first bite to the last, this series offers a slow-burn romance that simmers with chemistry and affection, seasoned with the everyday sweetness of shared meals and quiet moments.✨ Plot Summary
Dohoon, an advertising professional leading a routine life, meets Yoonsoo—his new neighbor and a passionate cook—through a small act of kindness: a gifted fermented drink that ends up inspiring a whole campaign. What starts as neighborly dinners turns into a rekindled connection—Yoonsoo was actually Dohoon's junior in college, who had, in many ways, indirectly confessed his feelings and then vanished. Seven years later, their lives intertwine once more, this time over heartfelt meals and second chances.
🍱 The Flavor Palette
Each episode is like a new dish—familiar, comforting, and full of meaning. From humorous misunderstandings to tender confessions, the show builds a satisfying rhythm. Dohoon’s emotional growth is beautifully juxtaposed with Yoonsoo’s quiet vulnerability. Their chemistry? Overflowing. And the food metaphors? Chef’s kiss.
🔥 Episode Highlights
Episode 6 masterfully clears the air with emotional clarity and graceful pacing.
Episode 7 brings the tension: Yoonsoo’s ex resurfaces, but boundaries are drawn with maturity.
Episode 8? The final course. Dohoon’s burnt s’more cookie turned “smooth cookie” is the perfect symbol of their imperfect, but heartfelt love.
💔 Critique: The Underseasoned Ingredient
If there’s one thing missing, it’s Yoonsoo’s ex, Minjoo. We’re teased with his presence, but we never get the full recipe—no details about what broke them up, no insight into why Yoonsoo still carried so much resentment. A deeper exploration would’ve added spice and depth to Yoonsoo’s character.
🌟 Best Lines
Yoonsoo: “The beauty about food is, there isn't a fixed recipe. So, food is similar to life... Although it's not a s’more cookie, it birthed a smooth cookie, containing our emotions, so I really like it.”
Dohoon: “Yesterday, I didn’t eat the kimbap that my beloved made for me... Even if it’s a common kimbap, I should thank him for his hard work and be polite to him. But I didn’t... Now that you’re against me, I realize how mean I was.”
💫 Final Verdict
Bon Appétit is wholesome, heartfelt, and genuinely moving. It’s a meal you don’t rush—it invites you to linger, taste, and reflect. While a second season or a prequel could help bring out more of Yoonsoo’s backstory, this dish, as it stands, is rich with sincerity and warmth.
Recommended for: fans of soft romances, food metaphors, mature conflicts, and healing narratives.
Pairs well with: warm tea, cozy blankets, and maybe a kimbap or two.

Um drama cativante
Simples e fofo. Was this review helpful to you?
