Kaori is summoned to the Board of Education after being sued by Taku's mother for giving corporal punishment to her child, but thanks to the school nurse Katayama Keiko, who explained that it was an exaggeration, Kaori only received a warning. Meanwhile, Ryohei is shocked when his mother, Sachiko, announces that she is going to marry a young part-time worker, Namiki. Ryohei refuses to stay at home and moves in with the Kawai family. Hana gently comforts the irritated Ryohei. On the other hand, Kaori learns that her colleague Naito Mayumi is worried about her collapsing class and feels that her job as a teacher is difficult.
