waste of time

i finally got to watch this drama should have read the comment and review first, regretted not doing that. I watched the whole drama first half of the drama was ok but the other 8 episodes as(9-16eps) went to hell i wasted my time watching trash. The only thing in this drama was the eye candy which was FL played by Namtan Tipnaree Weerawatnodom as the character Pemanee / "Pam" and ML played as Luke Ishikawa Plowden as the character Donovan McDaniel . This was a horrible drama to watch i wish i could turn back time to stop myself from watching this trash. Don't get me wrong the actors/ actress were great but the character along with the amount of bullshit that the scriptwriters put in eps 9-16 made this drama to be bullshit even the plot felt like bullshit. The character FL(Pam) should have broke up with ML(Don) and moved on with life but no she ends up back with that asshole like honestly this was stupid. I'm pretty sure he cheated on her also what's with the kissing scenes with the 2nd FL i get that's his job but i bet you if FL was the model and she did kissing scenes with other males bet you Don would be feeling insecurity also he fueled her insecurity. Pam and Don relationship would never last if it was real thank god it's just a drama and nothing more. But honestly this wasted my time

Rom-Com only for Luke's fans

A romantic Lakorn with Luke Voyage in ML's role (star model) and 1 FL, a young kindergarden teacher with a complicated family, who agrees to become his manager to pay for the hospital fees for her ultra-protective, rigid and authoritarian grandfather.

The acting is like in most lakorns, a little overplayed, compensated by the highlighting of Luke Voyage's visuals ( a lot and very hot ;). Some characters are not coherent at all : Jessica (one of the psychotics rivals) and the grandfather in particular, and the unbearable ML2, love rival and neighbor (except in the last 2 episodes).

BUT ABOVE ALL, the story is not well writen :
- View of romantic and sexual relationships, quite murky (drugs, harassment, assault, etc.) including when guys are the victims (which is good representation, but rarer IRL;)
- anti-foreigners racism in Thailand
- Very distorted vision of Western countries (poverty, racism, illegal boxing matches, etc.)
- Vision that does not seem credible to me either of the modeling world (party people, sneaky, very dependent on a few influential people, etc.).
- the inevitable break up "to protect you" annoys me especially when it doesn't make sense, like here.
- the OST are too "lakorn" for me....

=> Series to watch only for the very hot Luke's visuals and the chemistry within the CL despite the multiple plotholes and flaws.

Lakorn romantique avec Luke Voyage en ML (mannequin vedette) et 1 FL, jeune enseignante avec famille compliquée, qui accepte de devenir son manager pour payer les soins de son grand-père, ultra-protecteur, rigide et autoritaire.
Acting un peu surjoué, TB mise en valeur des visuels de Luke Voyage, et un ML2, love rival et voisin, insupportable(sauf dans les 2 derniers épisodes).
MAIS SURTOUT :
- Vue des visées amoureuses et sexuelles, assez glauque (drogue, harcèlement, etc.) y compris vis à vis des mecs (ce qui est bien, mais rare ;)
- racisme anti-étrangers en Thaïlande
- Vision des pays occidentaux très déformée (misère, racisme, matches de boxe illégaux, etc.)
- Vision qui ne me semble pas crédible non plus du milieu du mannequinat (fêtards, sournois, très dépendant de quelques personnes influentes, etc.).
- certains personnages ne sont pas cohérents du tout : Jessica et le grand-père en particulier.
- l'inévitable break up pour te protéger m'agace surtout quand il n'apas de sens comme ici.

=> A voir pour les visuels très hot de Luke et l'alchimie au sein du CL malgré les multiples plotholes et flaws.

Dream relationship

I honestly liked this drama so much as far as I've watched. Pam is a very relatable character with everything, i love how she maybe insecure but she isn't extremely shy like other main characters, and how she opens up. As for Dino, he is my dream guy and i love how he just listens whenever Pam talks but i also love how he tries to cheer her up but isn't begging her or throwing himself at her, and i love his playful personality. Even Jessica which only has a few scenes is hilarious to me. They should definitely let my man Dino rest for a second with all these girls throwing themselves at him like that.

Enjoyable ....

I did really like this drama quite a bit ... Pam was relatable and donovan was hot !!!

Although donovan came across as hot mess ... he was really genuine in his feelings with pam you could see and feel the chemistry between them ... I love how pam handled situations, although i did a get a little frustrated when she always thought about the people around her and never about herself first ... I do respect elders views but they also need to respect boundaries and allow children to grow and make they own.

Jessica and Miss Da were a bit annoying and honestly it really showed how people with power and money can get away with everything... I was super happy when she had a nose broken and wanted to smash the screen when she returned... as for jessica she played her part well, in the sense of a being a really selfish bitch and always thinking of herself even though she always helps out in situation its never genuine there is always a catch with it ...

Overall: this drama was really sweet and kept you interested ... not to mention the hotness of DONOVAN

dumpster fire of a show

it honestly had so much potential, main character and ML are absolutely gorgeous and have great chemistry but it was wasted on this. beginning was cute, it was marketed as "mc is the only one that can handle him, so becomes his manager and they develop feelings" and while cute it really wasnt. the writer tried to paint the ml as hard to work with in the start, but he everything he was upset about was valid so that didnt work. apart from that, they basically immediately liked each other but didnt get together for like 9 episodes

the two characters had a happy relationship for like half an episode, and everything else was just trouble and turmoil. i get wanting an angsty factor, but at that point its just irritating

that isnt even the main problem; firstly the writer is obsessed with sexualising the ml ad putting him in situations that he is assaulted. i understand the actor is hot, but can we calm down and focus on the plot for 5 seconds.
apart from that the ml keeps letting his ex get uncomfortably close to him, without saying anything. at first they werent together so it was technically fine. him being 1/8th of a centimeter away from kissing his ex, right after he almost kissed mc, and right before they got together again icky but technically fine; they tried to play it off by him rejectig her, but he doesnt have to almost kiss her to tell her no.

repeatedly while they model the ex makes insinuating jokes to him and the crew, making everyone believe they're dating, while also being in comprosmising positions his ex chose to keep escalating- and not ONCE did he ever shut her down out of respect to his girlfriend, that was weird but kind of managable . whats not fine is him almost having *** with his ex while dating the mc and them playing it off. he barely got flack for it, and the writer tried to act like it wasnt his fault despite him willingly being there and not pushing away his ex.

her mother was terrible. all through the first act, shes berating her daughter and blaming her for every small issue, despite the daughter only having to be in that situation for the mothers wrong actions. the whole reason she even became a manager at first despite having no experience was her mother tricking her into doing it, so why is she shocked the person with no experience is making mistakes.
something i really dont understand, is the mc listening to the mothers advice on her relationshio even though, she abandoned her as a childto move abroad, abandoned her again to build a new family when she came back, only contacted her when she needed something. berates, insults and talks down on her everytime anything goes wrong, even going as far as to say she didnt like being her mother ; she does this all and never properly says sorry, but somehow shes listening to her?!?!

this is all apart from the below mediocre character and plot writing. ml is painfully one sided, the lines are cheesy as hell; and th e older sister plotline needed far more development at the start of the show

in summary the couple is barely ever happy, her mother is completely toxic, but somehow gets a redemption from her daughter she never works for; ml is sexualised in every other scene and is in a compromising position with a girl thats not the mc (either willingly or unwillingly) every single episode. Mc is painfully naive and unaware and its infuriating to see. watch at your own discretion

Luke and Namtarn characters look so cute together here. As much as I thought about slogging through this for them, there's the rub. I shouldn't have to feel like I'm "slogging" through watching something. Episode 1 was promising, if you could stand the two annoying women being catty and chasing after ML. Then episode 2 was just extremely slow and boring. I couldn't even finish it.

Great cast, camera work, photography, hair and makup team (Namtarn with the short curly hair and glasses is the prettiest I have seen her), but the storyline and execution is lacking.

De 2022, mas so consegui tira da lista vou assistir agora. Vou ser sincera que o que me fez assistir foi o ator Luke. Ele e é realmente muito bonito e que Deus abençoe que o descobriu e tirou esse homem do caminhos da matemática e estatística , que ele tem como formação acadêmica.
Problemas de abuso na indústria entretenimentos Tailandesa é retratada na vida do personagem Donovan McDaniel (interpretado por Luke Ishikawa Plowden) é um verdadeiro galã que arranca suspiros um modelo bem requisitado e com a carreira em evidencia, mostra um lado cruel dos bastidores da fama, revelando apenas uma pequena parte dos abusos enfrentados por muitos homens para permanecerem no topo. É essencial mostrar modelos como ele que sofrem abusos e são frequentemente tratados como produtos e barganhas. Achei interessante mostra esse lado, porque muitas das veze focam nas mulheres e é preciso mostrar que os homens tambem passam por isso, acredito d certa forma foi desafiador para todos os envolvidos nas gravações.
Sobre isso, a indústria da teledramaturgia tailandesa tem sido abalada por relatos de abusos nos bastidores envolvendo modelos, atrizes e atores. As denúncias foram feitas por várias pessoas que trabalham na área e têm coragem de falar. Os abusos incluem assédio sexual, coerção e intimidação.
As vítimas relatam que os abusos acontecem em ambientes de trabalho desiguais, onde o poder é concentrado nas mãos dos produtores e diretores. As vítimas frequentemente são jovens e inexperientes, o que as torna vulneráveis a abusos. Muitas vezes, elas têm medo de falar, pois temem perder seus empregos ou serem humilhadas publicamente. A indústria precisa de uma mudança cultural, onde as pessoas se sintam seguras para denunciar abusos e onde o respeito e a dignidade de todos sejam priorizados.
Mas voltando as minha impressão, Donovan tem tudo o que deseja, exceto uma mulher que se perdeu no tempo. Ele nunca a esqueceu e faria qualquer coisa para encontrá-la novamente. Mesmo após muitas tentativas fracassadas de descobrir seu paradeiro, Donovan continua procurando. Uma observação sobre isso, é que haja sofrimento hein, mas mostra de forma muito singular o amor dedicado dele por esta misteriosa mulher e quando enfim é descoberto o paradeiro ate nisto há requinte de detalhes( não ficou ponta soltas). Por sua vez Pam está em um canto totalmente diferente, lutando para pagar as contas médicas de seu avô. Com um salário de professora de jardim de infância, Pam decide fazer trabalhos extras como modelo para a Palee Modeling, sem imaginar que isso mudaria sua vida para sempre.
O personagens são cativante e as coisas s desenrolam naturalmente, mas snti falta de diálogos dos outros personagens, há parte que da vontade de acelerar porque a maldade impera em parte do episódio. Quando Pam cai de paraquedas se tornando gerente do Donavan tudo flui muito rápido e fluido, a interação do casal é mesmo um charme, em aquele mimi excessivo que muitas das vezes nem adolescente aquenta. Ela é adulta, tem uma postura legal apesar de as veze ser desesperadoramente imatura, mas acho que ate por tudo que a personagem passou ela evoluiu muito.
Gostei porque foram mais que rosto bonitos em tela e o drama veio carregado de muitos temas delicados, como abandono , não aceitação de relacionamento inter-racial, a violência sexual homem / mulher, o assedio dentro do meio artístico, drogas, o despreparo das agencias de modelos e falta de proteção dos mesmo, educação escolar e outro tema familiares que vão além dos clichês.
