Qingmu Yuan uncovers that Dongfang Huai Zhu's mother, Jiang Quen Xue of the Beishan Sect, is linked to the Black Fox and the assassinated former owner of Zui Meng Lou, Er Zhu u. Meanwhile, Wangquan Hong Ye evades capture in the Yuyao Kingdom, whose King is furious. An attempt on Wangquan Hong Ye's life fails, and Qingmu Yuan finds the assassin's methods familiar. Huai Zhu senses the Black Fox's lingering aura within her.
To stay hidden, Wangquan Hong Ye and Li Qu Zhuo take demon pills (snake and dog, respectively), disguising themselves as demons under Huai Zhu's protection, which temporarily nullifies their spiritual powers and makes Wangquan Hong Ye sleepy. Wangquan Hong Ye meets Prince Bu Mu, learning that the Beishan Sect sealed the powerful Tianyao Jiu Huo, accessible only via the King's Seal. Huai Zhu discovers Zui Meng Lou now frequently hosts demon-fighting contests. The group deduces that Zui Meng Lou is the crucial next step in investigating the Black Fox's origins and the Beishan Sect's secrets.

Everybody is in Beast Kingdom trying to find out information of Erzhu Yu. Seems she was assassinated and now no one knows who took her place to get through the barrier concealing secrets of black fox origins. Nobody has discussed the Twilight Mist flower. QuZhou and HongYe have taken the purified demon cores as disguise after HongYe’s assassination attempt. I am not familiar with the story so I do not know why Zhang Zheng hates HongYe and wants him dead. QinLan is being sidelined by new puppy demon so our two leads can finally get some alone time. HongYe has decided to delay telling her he is the masked one but I’m still not so sure that’s a good move. The drunken tower seems to hold the key to discovery but they will have to accept a demon fight to get in. Both of our leads are more interesting as demons. HuaiZhu reveals she still has dark fox aura and it is unlikely it can be removed and it can appear at any time. However our leads as a demon pair is very interesting. They seem less restrained and more interesting when their dark sides emerge.
