Wangquan Hong Ye evades suspicion for sneaking into the Nangong sword forge with a cover story involving Dongfang Huai Zhu. They strike a deal: she'll restore his senses during the sword ceremony in exchange for him freeing a prisoner. Meanwhile, Wangquan Zui sabotages the sword purification, resulting in Nangong Ye wielding a demonic sword.
During the ceremony, Nangong Ye challenges Wangquan Hong Ye but is defeated and killed by his own sword. Dongfang Huai Zhu frees the sword's spirits and secures the prisoner's release, asking Wangquan Hong Ye to arrange a marriage as her final payment. The Black Fox Queen benefits from the chaos.

Huai Zhu and Hong Ye definitely make good partners in crime. She also knows how to get max return for her partnering. 😂 The sis and bro in law did wonders at the forge and I especially enjoyed the extra punishment to NanGong son. Little Nan was rescued and made sure would be looked after. The only concern is the evil behind hate tree return that was also released. The swords made fulfilled their tasks and then the cores were released. I think a baby spider is smiling at how his sword exacted justice. Part two of his promise was to free young man from prison. After getting run around from a corrupt prison warden, they gently suggested he should pay attention to the sword. Very shortly after prisoner released. All three leave and a happy reunion takes place. Hong Ye learns it is not quite antidote time yet. Now he must serve as a matchmaker. I am wondering if she wants to see him turn a pretty shade of blue? I can truthfully say I have been enjoying this drama.
