My Perfect Stranger (2023)

Zhang Jing Yi is the FL in both. The chemistry is natural. The relationship had depth. However, BEITD does not have a satisfactory ending.

The main genre of these two dramas are a bit different because MPS has a murder mystery going on but these two have the ff in common:
- both made the main character see their family beyond as their role in their family so this can make you appreciate your family members better
- interactions between daughter(and or) son and the father in their teens (well in18 again, just physically)

MPS has a murder mystery thing going on while GBC is about marriage issues, very different but both are innately heartwarming dramas.

Although not related to main lead's marriage, both ML & FL go back in time without each other's knowledge and face lot's of secrets their parents kept and solve many problems on the go.

Basically the two dramas involves the same tunnel that takes people to another time line
the two dramas have a criminal case needed to be investigated through time

The two dramas have the retro theme of Korea in the eighties
the two dramas talks about youth and love relationships

In Longing for You, a murder case occurs in Woojin, a town that doesn't have crime. Oh Jin Sang, joins the investigation team when his younger brother is identified as a suspect in a murder case, he later is cleared of false accusations, and the true culprit is revealed. The brother is suddenly attacked by someone on a rainy night and dies unexpectedly. In 'My Perfect Stranger', Yoon Hae-jun and Baek Yoon Young travel back in time to 1987, to investigate serial murder cases that happened in Woojung-ri , another town that doesnt have criminal activities. Hae-jun attempts to prevent his death in the future, and he and Yoon-young try to save people who are close to them.

*Only differences are that in 'Longing for You', there is no time travel, and that they aren't trying to investigate serial killings.

Summer Strike is the same story but without time travel. The character's are same: restrained, taciturn, unhappy. There is a village and an old murder mystery. The main couple romance behind scene: no lovey dovey stuff before the very end of the last episode. Very very slow slow-burn dramas.
