IT COULD BE PERFECT BECAUSE OF THE PARALLEL AND TIME TRAVEL ELEMENTS BUT...
Memory in the Letter follows Aksorn, who gets kicked out by his dad for wanting to chase his dream of becoming a writer. He ends up moving into a new dorm, where he discovers a mysterious guy named Songjam, who lives inside a mirror. Yup, inside a mirror. The vibe of this series actually reminded me a bit of the Filipino BL Happenstance (2020). I haven’t seen all of Happenstance, but the similarities are definitely there.I honestly adored Memory in the Letter. The mystery element is super engaging, and the plot keeps you guessing in earlier episodes. It’s unpredictable in a way that makes you want to keep watching.
Visually, the series is stunning. The color grading gives off this old-film vibe, which fits the overall mood perfectly. And aside from the whole parallel universe thing, there's also a time travel element, which makes it even more intriguing.
That said, I wish the episodes were a bit longer. It would’ve been great to see more of Songjam’s world, since the series mostly focuses on Aksorn’s perspective
I don't want to give spoilers but the plot twist is a bit weird that didn’t really make sense, and I think that’s where the story started to make viewers disappointed. I personally felt more chemistry between Aksorn and the original Songjam than with Kyo, which made it a bit frustrating to watch.
Another thing I noticed is they cast a 32 year old actor to play as 45 year old man, the face is young to be 45. It is not very convincing. The show leaves so many questions unanswered, and that vagueness really hurt the storytelling. From episodes 5 to 6, it got kind of confusing, and I honestly didn’t know how to react anymore. Just... watch it for yourself. If you’re worried about wasting time, don’t stress, it’s only around an hour total for episodes 5 and 6.
In my opinion, this series had a lot of potential, but it really lacked detail in the second half. It almost felt like the screenwriter or director got sick after episode 4 and someone else with totally different ideas took over. They changed directions and adding things that didn’t quite land. Still, Memory in the Letter is worth checking out, even if it leaves you a little confused in the end.

Interesting premise that needed more time.
This was one of the rare Thai series where I'd say a few more episodes would have really helped. Normally I say this about Korean series as they are notoriously shorter and try to cram so much in 6-8 episodes. Usually with the longer Thai series (10-14 ep at 40+min each) they contain so much unnecessary filler that the story becomes boring, silly, off the rails, etc.But there was so much going on in this series that, while they probably should have made it longer, I still feel like they did very well with the time that they had. It's a complex concept, to say the least. And then as the series goes on, I can see how some people may not like all the "coincidences" and how things are connected. But I thought it made the series more enjoyable.
I also wish I hadn't seen some of the spoilers so I will refrain from saying any of them myself.. as much as I can while still writing a review on the series as a whole.
It seems like a lot of people did not like the last couple of episodes. All I can say about this (as someone not trying to spoil anything) is that, if you are in it for the shipped actors, then yes, you will not like the last couple of episodes. But if you like the story of the characters, then the last bit is VERY satisfying and downright heartwarming. Also, do yourself a favor and ignore the age with the math. It's better enjoyed at face value.
That being said, the story has a lot of depth and makes one question a lot (I mean, come on.. we're talking about parallel universes and quantum physics here) but as far as the main couple is concerned, I enjoyed the lack of questioning how they felt toward one another. There were no secrets or hiding of feelings and I LOVED that they were open with each other when feelings started developing. Maybe they needed the impossible concept of them ever being together to make that honesty happen, who knows? Maybe they felt safe in being honest because they knew they had nothing to lose, being on opposite sides of the mirror. That was their obstacle and I liked that about the series.
While the acting could have been better, I understand that this was a first lead role for these two so it's understandable and forgivable. They were still good performances in the end. I also liked how there wasn't an abundance of side/supporting characters as there really wasn't much time to focus on anyone else. Everyone who was introduced had a clear role and was essential in some way to help the story along. But then they were put on the back burner instead of trying to make things complicated. That was handled well, in my opinion.
I really would recommend this series and encourage everyone watching it to stick it out to the end. It really is a well-rounded story and I like how everything was wrapped up to completion.

HOW THE OVERALL FEELS ARE!
The plot is just amazing! It is one of those rare boy love drama's with unique plots. The drama is cute, soft and fluffy . The drama is not as hilarious as 'Fish upon the sky' or as serious as 'Not me'. It does not have NC scenes or maybe the one i watched might have not been the real Uncut. Nevertheless, i have fallen in love with the story so damn much. It has only 6 episodes but i believe that justice has been served since, it did not have any dragging episodes.
The music was just the cherry on top to bring in the mood of the setting. oddly it reminded me of the cherry magic Thailand song," everything is magic"
Few cons i found
The actors were all wonderful, but i did think acting wise the drama was week. This felt like this is a drama which required a lot of expressiveness. Only the 2 main younger leads acting was up to the point . I felt the second lead, p' Kyo 's acting was a bit plain.
REWATCH VALUE for me personally is not that high cause i don't think i will get the same feelings i got the first time i watched it .
Overall this is a really good drama to refresh your brains with after going through a lot of similar plotted .

Disappointing…
It started so well… The plot, even though not super original, was well executed, the actors had good chemistry and I wanted to know how the story was going to unfold… That was for episodes 1-4. 😄And then comes episode 5… The plot twist of Songjam arriving in the past was good, but why sooooo long ago? Now it’s just creepy. Cause why do you mean after 5 years in this world he waited another 20 years for baby Aksorn to grow up and stalked him the last few moment before « meeting » him. 👀
How did he not moved on, and how did Aksorn just accept a relationship with a 40+ years old when he just fell in love with a teenager the day before? 😩
The ending is rushed, and maybe is for the best because I didn’t want to see too much of this creepy relationship 🫢 No matter how young the actor looks like sorry that’s just not it 🙈

Unusual and Fun!
Randomly found this just looking around. I'd never heard of it. Very cute, no/low angst, and a happy ending. The age difference may bother some sensitive to it, but it goes with the story line and it's just so cute all around! I really would have expected it to have a higher rating than it does, but it was so worth the watch. Was this review helpful to you?

Plot twist twisted so hard she broke her back
This is what I would consider a cute short BL that probably won't make that much of a personal impact but will still be memorable. Since I do recommend every BL fan watches this I'll keep it short, but when going into this BL I would heavily suggest that you prepare for a really, really, dumb plot twist. That doesn't really make sense given the rules established, or rather lack of them, within the show itself. I for one, was simply along for the ride and didn't mind it too much. My only one other critique would be that the chemistry of the two male leads wasn't really there for me. It was like Peach of Time, sure, they're both pretty and they can kiss each other all they want. But I'm not sitting here giggling and kicking my feet.Despite these two major critiques however, this BL was enjoyable to me and I looked forward to watching the newest episode every week it dropped.

The Story Shattered
Watching this series is like wrapping yourself up in a warm cozy blanket on a cold winter’s night as you are reading a romantic allegory. While the sensation is comforting, the fable still provides you with enough stimulation to keep you awake. But you suddenly realize that you reach a part in the story where one of two possible endings can happen. Either a fairytale one or a tragic one. While I certainly love a fairytale ending (and these two guys deserved one), I was preparing myself for a tragic one as the series did seem a bit dark overall. Unfortunately, I got neither one. And I threw off my warm blanket and started to cry with disappointment. While the story is strikingly enthralling for three-fourths of the way, it suddenly crashes literally and figuratively. It could have had either a fairytale ending or a tragic one. Instead, it went very weird in an odd way, and I felt in a cringeworthy way.Was this review helpful to you?

Un amor predestinado
No sé si seré capaz de expresar todo lo que esta obra me ha hecho sentir, pero voy a intentarlo igualmente.Memory in the Letter quizá no sea una historia perfecta.
Casi me desmayo.
