I enjoyed it too much >.<
I did not expect that I would love this drama. At first, I started watching this for fun, and did not have any high expectations, i expected it would be the same cliche drama. But, unexpectedly i enjoyed it too much. It was unbelievable that people are not hyping this drama up, and I would consider this drama as an underrated drama. I am so grateful that i have picked up this despite people reviewed this drama as an average drama. but, this drama is not an average drama for me. I forgot when the last time I enjoy such a drama.First of all, the plot is very interesting, the main plot and all the side plot is very well-written. and the ml and fl was sooooo cute, it gave me a soft, warm feeling, although there is not that much heart-fluttering moments, despite that i think they are both very cute and innocent? something like that. The story itself is very interesting, i find the story of the liar hunter is very well written, and i loovee how it wrapped nicely for the ending, nowadays it's very hard to find a drama that is very well written in the beginning until the end. So, I really appreciate how the plot progress, it was progressing very neatly. the pacing of the story was not too fast nor too slow and there were almost no unnecessary scenes which I really appreciate. there were no fillers that are annoying nor dragging. if i were to minus some points, maybe the soundtrack is not really impactful nor it was that good. the songs in the drama were also meh, it was fine for me. (but, i reallly like hwang min hyun's ost tho)
Beside that, I really appreciate how well the action scenes were shot eventhough there were little. to be honest, i enjoyed this show too much than I did not even notice how well it was shot and edited. clearly, the cinematography was perfect since i could barely detect sloppy edited scene nor unnecesary shot. and clearly because I was so into this drama as it was really happening in front of me.
Lastly, as you can tell i really enjoyed this drama, maybe a little bit too much. so, give it a try, you might like it :)
*despite i gave to the soundtrack and rewatch value a 7, i would still give this 10/10 cuz well, as i said many times, i like it too much hahaha

Start of with a mist of mystery but ends up kind of meeh
What do you get when you combine a Lovely Cast, a predictable plot, Cringe and a whole lot of annoying elements?Well I guess you get a whole lot of watchers who want to enjoy this but end up just felling meeh... Was it worth my time? probably not? Was it bad? Not really... it just lacked that spark that could have made up for all the annoying elements that would make me go oh all is forgiven.
The drama starts off with a mist of mystery, a male lead who is some kind of Korean Phantom of the Opera with mostly mental scars, meets a supernatural... Our male lead has this mysterious unavailable charm that was almost captivating however once he took off the mask the mystery was kind of gone and all that remained was a beautiful face with a whole lot of cringe.
Our female lead had so many monologs I found myself bored off my mind and the people around them where 50 shades of annoying with one pretty good lookin Ahjusssi and well that is.
The story while predictable had a lot of good hidden inside and the good cast kept me from dropping this and stands for all the good so while I admit this was not the most enjoyable watch of the week, I still feel that the good does accumulate to a 7 ... So if you do not mind over the top annoying elements and love the leads in this it may just be a really good choice. But if you are just a fan of the leads you may just want to skip this.
Also will someone PLEASE give Seo Ji Hon a good romance where he is the male lead... Seriously this is getting ridiculous.

Fluffy romance but thriller part was quite disappointing
The drama is a decent watch if you like fluffy romance. The ML and FL are cute and very complementary in their personalities. They meet again and start to learn about each other, trust each other and the dating stage drags to arrive but there is obviously something between them. SML is not too clingy, and he has his priorities. SFL is childish so no worries from this side. There are also 3 secondary romances that were not so interesting for me, but I believe that some others will enjoy them.The thriller part is interesting and intriguing at first. Because there are little infos and the mystery has huge consequences on the ML. But when the truth starts to unveil, the victim gained little sympathy but more pity from me. The final twist is surprising because it follows an unexpected and unusual path for kdramas but it also looks cheap and lazy writing. To put all this on one sided feelings and accidents…
The drama suffered from the characterization of the ML. He was way to nice always saying sorry and full of good intentions… to the point he looked bland to me. He also had little good impact on the others and he barely contributed to the solving of the mystery. I loved the FL. She brought light and fun to the drama with a great personality dealing with ML, SML, clients, her parents, employees, rival… SML Is my fav ML. I liked how he dealt with his personal issue and how he did his job despite the uneasy situation. The culprit was also a complex and interesting character with good intentions and very bad actions.
Overall, it was ok but wish the ML was stronger or maybe it was the lead male actor. His acting was below par compared to the other lead actors and especially the SM lead actor. It showed. But I wish him the best like to the others. 7.5/10

Not very captivating as a mystery but the rest is worth a watch
I was very much impressed when i first saw this series, entered with no expectations and found it very cute and intriguing , enjoyed the first half of it but later with all the mystery scenes involved i felt they dragged it for a little too long so i was on the verge of dropping it ,but i am glad i dint . The ending 3 episodes were very well wrapped up .Expect for how long they dragged to reveal the mystery, i was surprised by killer's true identity. Would have loved it , had they focused on it a little more much and revealed it much sooner . So this part of the drama had a loop hole but again because of a very clean ending i had a good experience watching it.
The writer chose common concept of lead having a special ability, murder suspect, hidden identity but execution was quite novel and didnot have a cliche plot.
The leads were super cute together .Loved how things ended with Kang min and all the supporting characters were well played.
Like how every coin has two sides, this too had its own pros and cons. If you are up for some cuteness, clean ending series, happy romance and would'nt mind skipping few scenes/ episodes - Dont miss out on this.

Better than I thought
Initially I didn't expect to like this series at all. Especially because of the title and poster... it seemed a bit cheesy tbh. But I began to like it after ep 3/4. Kudos to the writing of a non-toxic and cute relationship for that. It's a nice watch. I gave it a 6/10 which is a good rating. I think a 5.5 or 5 rating could be appropiate as well. But since I had a surpisingly good time with it for many episodes, my rating is a bit higher than that. It's a sweet romance you can use as an in-between series or just as a feel-good drama. I guess it has the potential to get quite boring if you binge watch it.PRO:
- Writing of the characters and romance: the romance was healthy and cute, I really liked the episodes where they were slowly building up the relationship between the leads
- Acting of the SML and FL, give Seo Ji Hoon another main role in a proper drama please...
CONTRA
-Murder mystery plot-line: just a matter of taste, I personally dislike murder mysteries in the romance genre most of the time, I thought it was boring and the plot-twist did not catch me becaue I didn't care, I started to skip these parts
-ML's acting: I do think Hwang Min Hyun's acting has improved, but it still felt odd and empty at times
RATING: Good 6/10
An okayish/good drama if you want something lighthearted. Just don't expect anything too complex. I had a good time with it and that's it.

Beautiful Modern Drama with a realistic touch <3
NGL, I was waiting close to every week for this. Monday and Tuesday had become the days I look forward to wind down after work thanks for this drama.Kim So Hyun has always been one that I look forward to in terms of acting. She never fails. One of the promising actress in this generation. Minhyun on the other hand, was really good in this drama, towards the end. Maybe they manage to be less awkward but I am happy to see Minhyun grow. There are times where he was a little awkward but I find that it fits his character.
If you are looking for a realistic love story, I think this would hit the spot. They portray trust and love in a really realistic way and the problems that arises during each conflict are really true to life although the scenario might not exactly be that way in life because simply we are all not superstars.
Its sad to say goodbye to this drama and I kind of like the ending of this drama. I wished that there was more wholesome ending but this fits into their pace real well. The pacing of the drama, would be slow in my opinion as I often find myself skipping through the portion or fast forwarding it. Overall, a good watch.

Lovely - if I say so it is!
It was one of the best shows currently airing and a breath of fresh air. The plot of pretty simple really - FL can hear lies in real time and ML is overly cautious of people.I enjoyed figuring out the mystery behind the ML and the whole what-happened or who-dun-it scenario. Though I figured it out relatively quick, it didn't seem obvious to others so it's a decent mystery.
Watched this for Hyung Min Hyun. His role is similar to that of Alchemy Of Souls where he is a quiet and decent guy who falls in love. We get some nice action sequence initially as well and I hope he does such roles in the future too. I also enjoyed his cute comedy.
Kim So Hyun - I loved her line - if I say so it is. I started using it in real life for fun. I liked her strong yet soft personality. She has empathy for others. The leads had good chemistry.
I love mix genres that mix romance with mystery and if you're like me you might like this as well.
The OST is nice and there are lots of different songs included since it covers a music company and Min Hyun plays a songwriter.

Second half was mundane :(
I actually binge watched the first 6 episodes. Found it very interesting and intriguing. Unfortunately it did not last, as the second half became dull and mundane.Many reviewers said that Hwang Min Hyun aka ML face was stoic and lacked expressions throughout. I tend to agree on that. The chemistry was missing between both leads. There were some kissing scenes but it seemed more like good friends kissing lol. The main plot was quite predictable and the last few episodes were draggy.
The side plots with the side characters were dull and uninteresting. All in all it was just alright. Which is a shame really, cos it had much promise at the beginning.

Ok so this is my first time writing a review even though I have watched at least 80+ kdramas. But because I have so much experience in watching I thought I should write this review.So let's start.
1.Acting- I have seen the fl leads work before but at that time she was a teenager so I can't say if she has improved or not but this role was good I liked that she wasn't all cutesy not that I have a problem with those characters but it was fresh seeing a more mature lead . The ml I have never seen him act and it's safe to say I don't want to again.
2. Story- it's just same like nothing new and oh god that plot twist I saw it coming from miles ahead. It's just they added something new with someone who could detect lies.
3.Characters- Are awful like god those mothers and no that's not how mothers are it's just that most kdrama now gives you mommy issues. And these characters don't know what consent is like the fl takes the mask off the ml. The salad cafe lady just barges into the shop even though it's prohibited and don't even get me started on the ex gf like she was fucking obsessed and I was glad that was the reason ml decided to break up and what's wrong with that brother when your sister needed support you tell her to just make a guy her dream and then she becomes this obsessed dies and then you go out to hunt a suspect. GREAT.
4. Music- I honestly got so bored with the story that I mostly skipped it.
5. Chemistry- wasn't Chemistrying like I couldn't feel anything out of them no romance nothing even there kisses I skipped.
6. Overall- don't waste your time it's not enough romance not enough mystery and they literally just always have to make bi/gay characters the villian if you want to watch something a little bit better but the same formula go watch crash course in romance.
Atleast they have better chemistry.
Or give it a try if you like to waste your time just because the title sounded good.

A Disappointing Dive from a Thrilling Start
"My Lovely Liar" initially captured my attention with its unusual and promising beginning. The first few episodes, filled with hints of suspense and action, led me to believe that I was about to embark on a captivating journey. However, my excitement was short-lived. As the series progressed, it became clear that the narrative was losing its grip. What could have been a multifaceted drama with twists and turns settled into a predictable and uninspiring romance.The depth and intricacy I had hoped for were overshadowed by clichéd romantic tropes that failed to engage or surprise. Furthermore, the character development seemed superficial, leaving me yearning for more substance. The storyline lacked the intensity and richness that the opening episodes promised, making the viewing experience somewhat unsatisfactory.
I can't help but think that the show's widespread appeal might be largely due to the charisma and appearance of the lead actors. Their performances, while commendable, were not enough to salvage the plot's shortcomings. In essence, "My Lovely Liar" felt like a missed opportunity, a series that could have delivered so much more but chose to tread the familiar and overused path of romance without much depth.

Worth a watch.
Overall enjoyable. Cute rom-com with bit of humour, some mystery and some fantasy. A must watch. One of the very few dramas I watched this year. There are times, I felt bored too. But not a big problem.Definitely a bang comeback of KimSoHyun. She is getting more and more adorable. Cutie bunny?❤️.
Although i have never thought this before, but in this drama HwangMinHyun resembled more like ChaEunWoo. Particularly with the mask on.
Perfect couple. Both are unrealistically beautiful. ??
SeoJiHoon. He and kimSoHyun looked good together. I want them as the leads in anther drama. Sorry LeeKangMin. In this drama, it's solhee and doha for me
But I think It could have been better if its 10 or 12 episodes. 16 episodes, felt draggy. I lost interest in later episodes and resumed only after all the episodes aired. So that I could skip some scenes finish it soon.
Like many, I am also surprised.
Expected JoDeukChan to be the culprit from the very start. But this twist is more shocking.
I wanted to hate him. But how could I hate him now.? He was in love.
he didn't plan to kill her from the start. I don't think he used him to get rich by keeping seungJu beside him, but it's the only way, Doha would stay by his side.
JoDeukChan tried to make seungJu and EomJi to breakup by creating misunderstandings.? Well there was any scenes to claim that it was true.
So many repetitive scenes of them drinking as a group only.
But i can't believe ChoiEomJi was toxic until the very end. Her brother fueled her obsession more and more. Although I felt bad for her
family background, that doesn't make her toxic behaviour justifiable. In the end, her fate, she brought it upon herself. JoDeukChan just went there to check up on seungJu. But she ridiculed his feelings for seungJu and Enjoyed it which actually triggered him.
But that also doesn't justify DeukChan too. He Should have surrendered regardless of anything. But He decided to hide it as if He wanted to be by his side by any means..! ? And that's why he hid the murder. I am sure he was also tormented as much as SeungJu. SeungJu clearly did not kill her and felt guilty thinking she killed herself because of him.
Totally different with deukchan. With or without intention, he killed her. And keeping the evidence of murdering someone beside you all the time. Feels more terrifying. 😟 Was there any single moment he felt happiness. Unrequited love, failed marriage, spoilt family member, a successful carrier which he is not sure of when it's all gonna end.
I feel very sad for JoDeukChan. Having Love for someone when it will be unrequited forever. ? He can't even confess his love to the person he likes in the first place. ?? Like, confess and if rejected, get over with it! ☹️
Syaon. Although i disliked her at first. But came to like her a but in last couple episodes.
Jo Jaechan is just spoilt brat.
I really hate SolHee's mother and SeungJu's mother. Both are toxic parents.! ??
And I absolutely hate that they made solHee's mother look innocent. She was going around Swindling people. She even did it to her daughter all the time. 😡😡
I am really happy that finally doha's mother is ruined. She is too cunning and selfish.😡
Solhee' father. It would have been better, if there is not a character of him in the first place. Like he died early or found another woman. Him ending up with MokSollHee' mother felt rubbish. 🥴 The actor who played the father, I recently watched him in Miraculous Brothers and thought he got another good role again. But he should have rejected this one.
I thought 3 men liked the same girl at first and got entangled somehow. ?
