Commander Zhang blames the entire team of officers for what happened to Ji Dan Yang. Hong Mei and Officer Ding Jie are temporarily suspended from their duties after the incident with Ji Dan Yang. Hong Mei berates Ding Jie for his failure. Captain Chen gets permission for Hong Mei to visit Ji Dan Yang in the hospital. Bai Hui also cries when she sees Ji Dan Yang's condition. Bai Hui and Hong Mei try hard to convince Mister Bai to take care of Ji Dan Yang's health (he uses excuses) and do not respond to either of their requests. Bai Hui remembers her childhood time when she was adopted by Mister Bai. She remembers his teaching and reminds him of this to try to convince him to treat Ji Dan Yang, but he responds that the hardest thing is to reject a son's request. Bai Hui independently studies ancient Chinese medicines to treat Ji Dan Yang in the family's notebooks. She urges her father to help her (because she not only wants Ji Dan Yang to wake up, but for him not to be paralyzed, and for him to recover completely.). Bai Hua is questioned about Ji Dan Yang's accident, but she omits that she met the old man, a friend of the Bai family (as she intuited that this could lead to her father). Mr Bai denies any involvement in the incident. Mister Bai is prevented by some officers from seeing his daughter, but Captain Chen solves the problem. Bai Hui has a nightmare in which his father is arrested. She suggests to her father that they live somewhere else, but he doesn't accept the suggestion. Hong Mei gets emotional and cries at Ji Dan Yang's bedside. And she tells him (even he is unconscious in this moment). She says : You crossed the difficulty of Hong Kong, you can't fall here. She remembers several moments of the two of them together. Secretary Lu defends Bai Hui in the face of two nurses' accusatory arguments. Hong Mei tells Commander Zhang that she suspects Mister Bai (although she wants him to cure Ji Dan Yang).
