Gifted Acting, Finely Crafted Story, Best of 2023
I write my review below (after the “——“) and then decided I needed to add a bit:I am truly mystified by some of the reviews of this show. I never want to say anything negative about people on the internet, but I just don’t get it. The negativity is amazing. Pointing out how the writers never spoke to women before, that it made all women look stupid??? Both the men and women were flawed - as are real people. Yeah, the characters could be annoying and frustrating, but have we not encountered these types of people in our lives? Have we not made dumb decisions that we look back on and can’t believe we did that? I sure have. This drama is no worse in that regard than countless other KDramas and CDramas which did not garner such reviews. This series just did a better job than almost off of the others with such flawed characters. :-(

When I read that this series was coming, I was truly excited. Touch Your Heart is my all time favorite KDrama. While everything about that show was great, it was Yoo In-Na's acting - her interpretation of her role - that was genius and made the show truly special. Could she pull it off again?
And I was not disappointed! Once again, she was the true driving force behind a series and elevated it to be as good as it possibly could be. She delivered a master class in acting, IMHO. Her ability to communicate emotions. The uniqueness of her expressions and the inflections of her voice... Amazing. Thanks to the those who cast her as Deborah!
I fee a bit like a broken record, because Kdrama acting is often so good, but I just have to say it. Everyone cast in this series was phenomenal.
Yoon In Na... Well, I've said it. She makes this story shine and we feel for her throughout the arc of the story.
Yoon Hun-Min as the male lead was so good. Dang, watching his character was so frustrating! So obviously he nailed the role and made it believable no matter how unbelievable it could have been.
Hwang Chan-Sung's role as the ex. I hated his guts! His acting sparked the feelings we were meant to feel.
Park So-Jin was sooo good in Sh**ting Stars.** And she was fantastic here. Her portrayal of a women in a listless marriage truly had our sympathy. She is just so darn good the I hope to see here as a lead in series to come. I’ll watch anything that features Ms. Park.
Let's hope we see so much more of Kim Ye-Ji. She is so cute and really did well in what I think is a difficult role - both strong and unsure of herself at the same time.
The story: Once again the Koreans' writing craft is so amazing. This was a tightly woven tapestry of multiple couple's evolving relationships. There was not a dull minute for my wife or I and we could not wait for each new episode. As the story was coming to an end I could not believe we had seen 13 episodes already and we were almost done. No feeling of, "This is starting to drag and I need to fast forward" in this series! I know we won't get it, but Season 2 please!
My one complaint is that at key points, the Male Lead did not communicate and it was just hard to believe. I am sure there are people who are, in a sense, broken like that. But he was given so many chances... Yeah, I know it can happen, I was pretty much that screwed up when I was young. But watching it drove me nuts! Then again, the story had me locked in so the writers obviously know what they are doing. :-)

A series of it's own kind
Bora Deborah has been a great watch throughout...every episode was better then the prior episode. It's not a drama with some extremely heavy story line or complex characters rather it deal with complex emotions of our life. Drama doesn't has any out of tge blue story line..it was something which happen around us. As if we are the characters and a phase of our life has been shown...drama represented every stage of love..falling in love, struggling together, slowly opening to each other , having deep talks with only that special someone and at the end longing for a happy ending.Main lead two pole apart personalities..their childhood was a very minor detail but it helped us to understand their characters and why they are like this ! Both of them don't want to end up like their parents.
Acc to me every actor did a great job. Yoo inna ruled the show ..her every expression was on point , she practically lived the character! Yoon hyun min gave his all in second half of the show and really delivered beautiful acting and he is also the one to br most benefited by this drama (his inland image and internationalfan base both have improved). Inshort it was a great casting choice! Although i would have loved to see joo sang wook and his ex wife story more.
And bomi was way too lucky..she didn't deserve anything which she has got in life ...🙂 only
character i seriously hated throughout the series.

Overcome Romance
Watching this drama..........no no no ... rather than watching I say tolerating this drama . Worst rom-com drama I've seen till now.What I dislike: I say over acting of actresses. The male lead also doing the worst acting.
I want to ask drama where is comedy ??? I seriously didn't find any...
I also want to ask where the story is. If you saw us in a drama called Story then I am done with that. The whole thing doesn't make any sense.
Don't waste your time on this drama.

Deborah segue fiel ao amor
Deborah segue fiel ao amor, mesmo após o fim sempre há um recomeço." O término é como um resfriado; vai passar logo" - é com essa leveza que descobrimos a empatia pós término e pré recomeço.
É refrescante ver o desenvolvimento da história, e principalmente da personagem que passa por um término difícil que transcende a vida pessoal da protagonista afetando também sua carreira de sucesso construída como "coach de relacionamentos" - daí a dualidade emocional da Bo-ra coach de relacionamentos com problemas no amor (e a coitada sofre).
É interessante a forma como o drama mostra as fases do término e o recomeço, mostra como as vezes pode ser tão difícil superar a dor e recomeçar novamente; os personagens são únicos e a partir disso temos cenas disertíssimas entre os casais cada qual com sua dinâmica amorosa, além é claro dos momentos que nos levam a refletir sobre como nos colocamos e colocamos o outro dentro de um relacionamento, sobre como seguir a vida após o fim de uma relação, sobre como recomeçar quando tudo parece errado ... Cada episodio é uma surpresa agradável, e o visual dos personagens é muito bem elaborado com diversos outifts mara. A ost não ficou muito na minha cabeça, não senti tanto foco nisso, além da forma como alguns personagens foram retratados na história para mim não foi tão satisfatória. Fora isso os eps fluiram muito bem (assim como o desenvolvimento dos casais), e foi uma delicia assistir ao drama, fora o fato de que o final deixa nosso coração quentinho - "Era nosso primeiro dia de inverno, tão quente quanto o verão".

Es el único drama que va entorno a la infidelidad qué alguien sufre y no me aburre. No sé si fue por la actuación de la protagonista, que me pasó el sentimiento de ser traicionada por la persona que amas o que lo vi en una etapa sensible de mi vida, pero fue la primera vez que lloré con esta clase de trama y es que pude sentir cada emoción por el que pasaba.Me gustó que pudiese superar un corazón rotó, pese a, irónicamente, ser la consejera del amor y ese "nada duele para siempre"

Desternillante y encantadora
Me ha encantado, una historia sobre el amor, sus dificultades y sus sinsabores y sus segundas oportunidades, contada en clave de comedia romántica. Fantástica química entre la pareja principal, y maravillosos secundarios que te atrapan también con sus historias. Yoo In-na está fabulosa como siempre y ofrece un recital interpretativo con momentos que te atrapan el corazón, Yoon Hyun-min está perfecto como editor quisquilloso y aparentemente de carácter distante y frio. Pasa bien pocas veces que las parejas secundarias (aquí hay varias) te atrapen igual que la primera pero en esta serie me han encantado todas. La he encontrado original en su apuesta por mostrar una mujer moderna, que habla sin tapujos de temas muchas veces tabús en otras series coreanas,. Los diálogos ingeniosos, el ritmo rápido que hace que sus 14 capítulos se pasen en un santiamén. La recomiendo para pasar un buen rato!!!!!Was this review helpful to you?

Si al principio está aburrido,y le da vuelta a lo mismo con su ex,como sale al flote tantas verdades en consejos que da de relaciones y ropturas,si que me gustó la historia de los protagonistas y las parejas secundarias,si tiene unos diálogos exagerados y ejemplos como que mal tomados,los besos y las química de los actores me encanta.La pareja de la amiga me dió mucho risa,y jajaja hablan con tanta verdad.
Ala que verdaderamente odie fue ala ex pareja del protagonistas masculino chica jugabas a dos puntas y cuando pasa eso siempre termina lastimado a alguien.
También el protagonista masculino era bien indensiso,y no lo justifico hay personas a si que le dan vuelta a todo y no sientan sus sentimientos.

Divertente!
Un dramma sicuramente divertente anche se in certi aspetti un po' esagerato.Racconta la vita che a volte nonostante tutto l'impegno non va come ti aspetti.
La protagonista una scrittrice e guru delle relazioni si ritrova a essere lei stessa ad affrontare una relazione falita con tanto di tradimento e poi un innamoramento non così scontato. Dovrà fare i conti con il fallimento della sua relazione e la prenderà male che tra alcol e sfiga è un miracolo che è viva ma incontrerà un lui che inizialmente non la suporta ma è un bravo uomo e li starà accanto anche nei momenti più tragici e imbarazzanti. Lui è stato moletto pure e inerme fanno la coppia improbabile che nemmeno loro riusciranno a credere. Con il passare dei episodi però si scopre che non era poi così improbabile un innamoramento tra di loro. La chimica tra i protagonisti è molto evidente!
Molto carine anche le storie di contorno dai amici dei protagonisti e pure la sorella di lei.
In certi momenti forse esasperata come storia ma molto piacevole da vedere, se si ama ì genere rom com questo è il dramma giusto!

si te gusta la gente migajera es tu drama ideal
la historia tenía mucho potencial y empezó bien, pero a medida que avanzaba se fue perdiendo. sentí que varias partes quedaron sin desarrollar, como si faltaran piezas clave para entender completamente lo que ocurría. el desenlace no cumplió con las expectativas y el final fue bastante flojo, dejando una sensación de vacío. no volvería a verla, no porque sea mala en todo, sino porque me dejó insatisfecha y creo que no aprovecharon bien la trama.creó se debió aprovechar más el potencial de esto

Un bicchiere e un finale di troppo
Due note "negative": gli ultimi 10 Min del finale (decisamente superflui) e i bicchieri di alcol che in tutto il drama i protagonisti hanno scolato (decisamente troppi). Quindi "smielosità" e gruppo di alcolisti non troppo anonimi a parte, questo drama sa il fatto suo. Non è di certo tra quelli che restano nel cuore, ma merita una nota di merito. È stato capace di rendere i clichè divertenti e mai noiosi. Le vicende risultano reali e ben affrontate, seppur rimanendo nella più completa irrazionalità. Il tema del romanticismo viene affrontato senza troppi romanticismi.Insomma divertente nella sua semplicità. Meno smieloso del previsto.
