I Know Where It Is Headed, Nevertheless.
I know for sure where the story is headed and its gonna make me sad and depressed. But i dont know what it is that is making me watch and yo want more of this content.Keeping the end aside,
The Drama is very well produced and its a total eye candy.
I started watching the drama for Han Sohee ( Nabi ) and i dont know what it is but is Nabi just dumb or Indecisive or both, she is like " i know am gonna get hurt but still.Nevertheless " WTF is that.
And i dont recommend this drama for someone who is looking for something cheerful. Its the opposite of everything Happy and Cheerful.
This drama is gonna make you feel Sad,Confused,Make your heart flutter but its not gonna make you feel happy. You Have Been Warned.
But i still consider this a Masterpiece in this genre of Mature Romance.

Unpopular Opinion, Nevertheless... (review with spoilers)
Having watched countless romantic dramas that aimed for a more serious tone over a comedic one but ended up falling prey to the same tropes in the end, Nevertheless didn't disappoint and felt fresh, this only heightened by the cast, their acting, and the beautiful visuals.By now we know how a romantic drama goes: there's a girl who discovers she's been deceived by her boyfriend or has trust issues from a previous relationship, she then meets a jerk of a man usually in a position of power/comes from wealth/or both, they clash over 10 episodes, there's a heartbreaking scene, usually a stupid misunderstanding, and somewhere along the way a romantic interest from the girl's past makes an appearance. These three then enter not a Love Triangle but a Love V (since it's two people pursuing the same person and not them pursuing each other - now that would be a fresh take), and by episode 16 we finally get a hand holding scene and, if we're lucky, a peck on the lips as a treat.
While the drama does lean a bit too heavily on some of these tropes, especially towards the second half of the show - which I assume starts when we're introduced to Yang Do Hyuk, Na Bi's childhood friend - we still get to see young people have casual relationships, women that own their sexuality, and even a little LGBTQ+ representation which I believe was toned down on the final cut, which is a shame.
That being said, the ending of the show didn't really upset me or made me feel like the 9 episodes I had watched were a waste. As a drama-only watcher, I was fine with the ending, especially since from the moment Yang Do Hyuk appeared it was clear as Jae Eon's glass butterflies he was only introduced to cause some tension between Na Bi and Jae Eon.
While I do agree with some reviews that state the charm of Nevertheless is the side couples - the show's worth it just for them and it was nice to see support characters be explored in this way - I also enjoyed Na Bi's story.
One thing I picked up early on, which I think some people didn't and maybe that's why many feel the way they do about the drama, is that we only ever get Na Bi's point of view throughout more than half of it. Only towards the end do we get some insight into Jae Eon's inner monologue, but it's not nearly enough.
This can either be a weak point of the drama, or the entire point of the drama, as we never really get to understand Jae Eon and his motivations. Not only that but we, as the audience, are left in the dark regarding many if not all of Jae Eon's encounters with other women and we only ever know the rumors that circulate about him, the same way Na Bi does, after the fact. Even Yoon Seol Ah's relationship with Jae Eon and why he's on her beck-and-call is left unanswered, maybe it was hinted at? I believe they used to date at some point and then remained friends?
Finally, the elephant in the room - the Toxic Relationship. Let's not kid ourselves by saying Jae Eon was the only toxic person. A relationship, even friends with benefits, requires two willing parties. Na Bi's attraction and pull towards Jae Eon in spite of her better judgment, even at the end of the drama and even after she herself admitted to it, plus her refusal to communicate with Jae Eon after hearing rumors and everyone else's opinions were as toxic as Jae Eon's indecisiveness and unwillingness to be sincere towards her. But that's only my opinion.
Choices were made that for sure made the latter half of the drama decline, but I believe this was as accurate a portrayal of reality as we can get and it for sure was a fresh one for this genre. People make bad choices, in this case willingly, because people aren't perfect and the heart wants what it wants. It was a messy relationship to start with and I'm sure it will not end well. But that's life.
As for some takes that the drama sends the wrong message - that toxic men can change for you if you just pull through, I don't think that's the case. The end credits scene when Jae Eon's being asked for his number by two girls but then tells them he has plans as soon as he spots Na Bi, and Na Bi almost pulling her hand away from Jae Eon's when she sees Yang Do Hyuk proves these two still have a lot of unresolved issues to go through and their relationship is anything but healthy or secure. But that's the choice they made and many others do. This drama, or any other, shouldn't have a responsibility to send a message - it's a portrayal of reality and reality is anything but spotless and perfect.

NO!
Honestly, no. I didn't really fuck with this show. It was such red flag energy from the ML and i just wanted to bonk miss girl in the head. It's crazy cuz the second lead was so honest and prolly good for her, (my opinion idk.) i just wouldn't watch it. And there was so much unnecessary s#x scenes but whatever, i just wouldn't recommend. Actors did great tho!Was this review helpful to you?
Nevertheless: Redflags Signs for Dating
Firstly, this is not your typical or cliche drama series. There will be some scenes that are not for children. First Impression, I like how they push with this kind of stories, and props for the casts for accepting these roles, especially for Song Kang and Han Soo Hee.I like the story concept and highlighting all the red flags and warning Na-bi for it, but we see that Na-bi blinded all the red flags presented and goes on with the relationship. We can see the development of how the red flags are really affected in a relationship if we, as humans, don't ignore them in a small amount. We are represented as Na-bi.
We will see her journey in those red flags being affected in Na-bi's life and relationships.
But this is general for the episodes that are released. I'll be back for the full review.

THE OST IS GOAT!! REST, well nevertheless.....
Starts of great but towards the end you disgustingly want jaeon and nabi to end together and spare the potato guy. they deserve each other. both of them are equally stupid and want to be together as long as feasible, so be it!Mixed feeling for this drama. By that, you can definitely assume how messed up things are.
Not a typical or cliche type one, but also story doesn't have much. But writing is messy with the pace... It wasn't even enough just for 10 episodes as some episodes even felt filler with 0 progress in the story. Despite being frustrating and disturbing in some parts, it is intriguing. You won't find any meaningful conversation.
Talking about casting, I like it! Impressed by Song Kang's acting .So Hee, she sure left an impression on me, and potato guy is the best. The production value is high what to expect from JTBC and Netflix, so top-notch cinematography, aesthetics, color grading, and styling. I found the intro interesting it's short but those slide with music give is an artistic vibe. I absolutely adore OSTs., these are the best!
We're Already - KIMMUSEUM
Whisper - PARK JI WOO
Butterfly - J.UNA
Love Me Like That - Sam Kim
I liked some starting episodes, the pacing, and execution but then it losses the momentum and becomes repetitive.
although for its chemistry and lot of steamy scenes :P, its a good one time watch!

Not for fan sweet and cozy
It was a long time ago that nothing Korean caught my attention. I turned it on Netflix just because it was the most recent title added ...My first impression - hmmm strange. The guy was a brute, and the girl did well to send him to hell. The form reminded me of Lovestruck in the city, which I did not manage to finish ... I looked for the remote tv but it was too far away and the coffee smelled so nice under my breath. So the series flew on with my laziness. Well, I was lost ...
I watched the drama in one day. It was something different and new for Korean productions. There was no rich dude, no poor lady in need. And a billion strange intrigues would fall in love with him. Instead, there was pure chemistry called ordering. There are no sweet dates here, no sublime scenes with buying a funfair to confess your feelings ... There is sex. And in fact, nothing else connects the main characters, apart from a passion for art. Simple attraction.
ML narcissists, abandoned by their mother, collects women, likening them to fleeting butterflies. Until finally she comes across this one .
FL an ordinary, unremarkable person who does not know his own value ...
And this is how the game of attraction and repulsion begins ... A toxic relationship where the girl, despite having a great party next to it, wades all the time in the swamp. Like in a fog, over and over again, going back to the starting point. And it was so realistic.
Actually, I felt like I was watching the Korean remake After only the guy is not aggressive punk.
Another plus was the supporting characters and their developed stories.
The whole thing is very realistic and so real.
Sometimes it's worth getting out of the comfort zone and watching something else. Maybe someone will see themselves in FL and will see through their eyes, freeing themselves from the toxic relationship ...

worth the wait!
I‘ve been waiting for this drama to be available in my country and was so happy when I could finally watch it. And let me tell you - I’ve ever finished a drama so quickly. I mean yes - there were only 10 episodes (which was a pretty good length for this kind of drama imo!) - but I still couldn‘t get enough of this one.First of all the cast in this drama is amazing and I didn’t only love the main characters and their chemistry, but also the side characters and their narratives.
The story might not be the most special or extraordinary one, but it was still really enjoyable and easy to watch. It made me laugh, fall in love with the characters and root for them until the very end. The music was really good as well!
Overall really recommend this one.

It's mind-blowing
The story was amazing. And the lead actors stole the heart with their performances. The direction was outstanding.
And what to say about Song Kang who is stealing heart ever since he debut.
I only wished the chemistry was far better than portrayed.
And the background score was good to hear.
And the biggest thing was the amazing blend of Story and the acting. The screenplay and cinematography was outstanding.
I would suggest to watch it.
It's mind-blowing and awesome. Also I would love to re-watch it.

Realistic and enjoyable
I have seen that lots of reviewers found many of flaws with this drama and yes there are some there is no doubt about it. In general however this drama was very enjoyable (i watched without knowing the Webtoon) and to me it felt very real and relateable. The relationsship between the main characters I can totally understand. Instant attraction is rare, but is it enough to build a real relationship? Can you ever be satisfied with a half relationsship especially if you are emotionally invested? Would you rather stay safe and not tell somebody you love them instead of risking heart ache? If you are very good friends first how will that play out if you move this relationship to the next level?
Everybody is scared of rejection and loosing people close to you and through the side stories these is shown very well. There is also he dilemma about having choices and even if you know that long term somebody might be better for you if the spark is missing would that be enough to try?
Lots here is also showing how communication really is the problem in most relationsships. Not saying what you really feel and want because you want to protect yourselve. Making assumptions about people and how they feel and just playing some strange games even though you know all you want to do is be with that person.
So yes, I did enjoy it even though sometimes you just want to scream at the screen and shake them. I am personally not a big fan of the main male lead, This actor only seems to do the broody sexy thing and there is nothing wrong with it per se but I just not seen him proper acting....
I actually only started watching it because Seunghyub is also in this drama but then ended up enjoying it and binge watching the whole thing (only 10 episodes)

Most Enjoyable
I'm totally fascinated by the people who gave this drama a negative review simply because the main lead treated the female lead badly (thier words not mine). So Dear Reader, when you read reviews also keep in mind that reviews are subjective and people put their personal feelings into the review instead of analysing the drama for what it is.Park Jae Eon from Episode 1 showed his true self and what he wanted, Yoo Na Bi knew this yet went ahead with the relationship .... so why are you all mad when things went south? It was inevitable. Yoo Na Bi was actually irritating. She spend all the time listening to other people's opinions and then went from one bad decision to another and her clear desperations made her jump from man to man. Relationships are toxic if you don't know what you are getting into, but if you walk into the relationship knowing exactly what you are getting then that's your choice.
Realistic? Absolutely! Yes people, this is reality. There was none of that fluffy, all roses, nauseating and irritating romance that Korean dramas just love to give us, and makes me fast forward.
I enjoyed this drama and watched it in one sitting because I simply couldn't stop watching. I had to see what's next? It was a great storyline that flowed from start to finish, episode to episode. Definitely will watch it again.
The music was awesome, so I went out and purchased the album.

Are great visuals and overflowing chemistry worth it ?
Nevertheless, one of the most anticipating and talked about show stated to be portraying 'realistic relationship' with it's ups and down.their chemistry dang their scenes have a separate fanbase count me as a CEO of that fanbase I mean considering it being a part of K-drama which is kind of conservative coming to displaying intimate scenes it was rather a shock and dedass made me choke on my breath save to say their chemistry carried the show it was a delight to not see forced scenes which makes you hella uncomfortable kudos to the actors for such flawless execution
Na Bi an insecure girl not having enough experience of relations got out a toxic relation only to end up with a dude full of red flags if you can set aside the 'we're portraying the reality of couple' the hey you're good to go but still if you stuck with the real portrayal oh boi you mey be disappointed babe just take some popcorns be ready to swoon over their hot chemistry at one minute and scream from utmost frustration the next minute. Still the way she stands up for herself and speaks out her thoughts is rather unique and her not being the shy reserved FL is also a plus point people, she is grown ass adult she must make some mistakes and learn from them that's how life works it not always rainbows and butterflies (oops well there were lots of butterflies to find here tho ;) )
Jae Eon's character was rather skeptical and yet controversial pretty sure his great visuals and acting placed a part in making you feel vulnerable and indecisive from the very start his character sketch was mmhh pretty clear a playboy who restricts himself getting involved in nothing more than physical relations and not get emotionally invested in another individual and over the course of ten episodes his backstory was well not discovered at all just a hot dude who wants to have flings with Nabi but later kinda starts having complicated feelings which is pretty new for him just the usual playboy getting changed by our very own miss naive and innocent FL . His own personal life could have been focused upon more and would have given views more insight on this actions and the way he thinks but it's pretty biased to say that he did not change he did and eventhough the charcter development was bit slow but you ca see the emotions and the way he acted and how much he cares about Nabi
The whole second ML intervention in the story was rather forced and pretty cringe and stereotyped considering displaying him as an 'innocent and naive' individual his character arch was rather questionable.
Coming to production firstly, cinematography the director really made them bucks count amazing cinematography the was the scenes were captured whether it be of characters or the places just amazing over top of that the amazing soundtrack really loved the osts
Most importantly, representation of lgbqt community a rather appreciable and great step taken by the writers loved the interaction between the couple and their interactions were just natural and not clingy or stereotyped.
