Qi Zheng Held at Swordpoint

Elder Zheng invites his lifelong friends, Lord Lu and Lord Zhao, for a drink. Once they are heavily intoxicated, he steals Lord Lu’s official command token. Using the stolen token as leverage, Zheng's butler—disguised in official robes—tricks and imprisons Fan Yun, Tian Xing, and the other reform candidates inside the court hall. Meanwhile, Elder Zheng corners the City Lord, Qi Zheng, in his private chambers, demanding that he sign an executive decree to permanently abolish the new selection exams.

The Most Intense Episode So Far

This episode is so intense. Old Lord Zheng's treason, the abduction of the Nine Cities officials, and him threatening the Governor to sign the cancellation of the new official recruitment program... and then that cliffhanger at the last minute!
