Um chinês nota 10!

Não vou negar que no começo eu fiquei agoniada com o arrastar da história, mas depois, analisando, era necessário vermos o desenvolver da relação dos dois.

Só acho que no começo colocaram uma atriz que parecia muito mais uma criança do que uma adolescente. Poderiam ter feito diferente neste sentido, mas no mais que história perfeita.

EU SIMPLESMENTE FIQUEI APAIXONADA E ENCANTADA. Acho que é o primeiro chinês que dou nota 10, e tenha certeza que é o meu favorito, até o momento, kkk.

O enredo é cativante e apaixonante, você fica deslumbrada por todos os personagens!

Pois bem, a nossa prota se apaixona pelo amigo do seu irmão, mas no começo o mesmo somente a enxerga como uma irmã. E também se ele começasse a nutrir algo mais por ela, digamos que seria bem bizarro, no meu ponto de vista. E por conta de um desentendimento, os dois ficam sem se falar por bastante tempo, até que num acaso do destino se reencontram. E nisso ficam se vendo, e e aí que ele vendo que ela amadureceu, começa a enxergá-la com outros olhos.

E é tão lindo de se ver o desenrolar desse romance. E mesmo ele enxergando que ela nutri sim um amor por ele, e mesmo ela percebendo que de fato o conquistou, eles não aceleram, ela permite ser cortejada e ele acha necessário cortejar a mulher que ama.
“eu vou continuar me esforçando. vou ser seu único namorado na vida. então se outras mulheres merecem ser conquistadas, a minha Zhi merece o mesmo”
E FOI NESSE MOMENTO QUE EU ME DERRETI TODA! Além, também, de todo o cuidado que ele tinha com ela, o que só tornava tudo ainda mais apaixonante.

A relação entre a Prota e o irmão também é fantástica! Assitiria muito um enredo que focasse nele, escutei rumores que vai ter um dorama, mas não me empolguei quando souber que o ator não seria o mesmo.

O modo como eles se protegem, o modo como eles se completam é o que faz a história ser perfeita. E é claro que a química dos atores ajudou muito!

Falling in love with your Brother's bro

The chemistry between the characters is absolutely adorable, and the acting is top-notch—it's hard not to get invested. The storyline, centered around falling in love with your brother's friend, is both charming and cute.

I especially appreciate the sibling dynamics; they feel authentic and refreshing without being overly dramatic. It’s lovely to see the growth of the main relationship unfold naturally, adding depth to their connection. The tension between the ML and the FL's brother is particularly well done—their interactions are intense and well-acted, keeping me on the edge of my seat!

And can we talk about the OST? It’s phenomenal! I find myself replaying the songs over and over again; they perfectly capture the emotions of the series and enhance the overall experience.

Best light romance drama of the year with PERFECT CAST

I don't usually write a review, but this drama is worth to mention!!!
Hidden Love has super great cast with great chemistry, making me blush myself everytime they have romantic moments. And I soooo freaking love their romance scenes - it gives me butterflies. The story itself is pretty light, making it enjoyable to watch every single episode. Chen Zheyuan plays the cool big brother role soooo perfectly (isn't it a crime to be that adorable tho?!! I'm falling head over heels myself, help!!!). Give him a thropy for stealing my heart. They're such a cute couple, seriously. I keeps smiling from ear to ear watching them.
I wish the drama would be longer, I enjoy the journey of Sangzhi - from being a little brat to a mature young lady (as expected from Zhao Lusi acting). It has perfect pace, not dragging too long but not too fast as well. Definitely going to rewatch it again in the near future.
SUPER recommended if you're a fan of light romantic drama. It's overloaded with sweetness to the point that it's diabetic.

A story of pure and unconditional love

Hidden Love is the first Chinese drama I ever watched and I am honestly surprised by how much I love this show. It's just so sweet and heartwarming that no matter how many I watch it I will not get enough and keep coming back for more. That's the extent to which I love and the funny thing is that I never expected to like it so much. So yeah, the sweetness and the tenderness with which this story has been portrayed was outstanding and that's why I give this show a 10/10.

I have watched this show a number of times now but hadn't left a review of it on this site until now. I'm here now because I just realized that some haters have been posting negative reviews which have decreased the shows rating from 9.2 to 9.0. Their jealousy is truly astounding. Maybe they should try to make their favourite shows a success rather than try to diminish the success of Hidden Love. You haters can try all you want. It won't change the fact that Hidden Love is a very well loved show because it is relatable.

I love this drama soo much. Love the casting, love the story and everything in it. I love how patient the Female Lead to wait her first love to love her back. And i love how Male Lead fall in love with her back. The way he love her, protech her, the way their jealous with each other. It also tell the love of the family, parent to their daughter, the love of a brother to his sister and how he protech her eventhough their always querrel when they see each other. She fell first but he fell harder. So sad not to see their wedding. Hope there will be second season. To see how their marriage life, to see their baby and see how lovely couple their are. Very recomended to watch. I hope to see the ML and the FL in other drama.

Cute and Wholesome

I never thought I would love this but, here I am, a fifty-something mother of three children close to the ages of the main leads. I usually try to stay away from dramas with very young characters, but I love Zhao Lu Si and will watch her in anything. What struck me the most was just how well written this was, how earnestly the screenwriters took up the subject material and didn't turn it into some goofball situation like so many dramas of this kind. Many young women, and even older ones, can relate to this young lady, who idolizes her first love. We all remember that special someone. We laugh with her, cry with her, dream for her and just celebrate her youthful hopefulness.

I love that her ML never minimizes her feelings and doesn't treat her as an annoying little sister. He seems to have a big soft spot in his heart from the beginning even though his feelings turn into something else later on. He is always willing to help her out and most importantly, he gives her his time. How could you not fall for an older guy like that? Because the series falls into the wholesome category, it is suitable for age 14 and over. Victor Ma, however, delivers the sex appeal lacking in the main couple. He has this snarky little smirk that can drive anyone up a wall. The bromance between the male leads is also fun to watch as much as the romance between the FL and ML. Look for Zeng Li who is once again cast as Lu Si's mom. She is a beautiful and talented actress.

Would definitely watch this again.

Plot: crush of a 14 yo middle school student on the friend of her brother, 5 years older. They will be separated for a few years, reuniting when she is 17 & high school student. Big disappointment for her, he moved away, started working, and she thinks he has a girlfriend.
Two years later, having become a student in the same city as him, they meet again and get closer little by little.

The series follow the daily life of the FL, the first emotions, the hesitations, the sufferings,... And Zhao Lu Si is remarkable both as a high school student and as a young adult who wants to protect her lover.

The ML, played by Chen Zhe Yuan, has all the green flags. He is handsome (very :), mature, responsible, respectful. His moments of vulnerability are touching, and CZY is so good in this role, that we all want to comfort him!

+ the exceptional chemistry, the natural interactions between the 2 leads
+ The story, very well written, is quite realistic, without twist, without great evil (even the stalker is almost "human").
+ the direction is perfect, without downtime.
+ The OSTs are well adapted and pleasant (2 songs with the participation of Zhao Lu Si)
+ the comforting and warm story, makes the viewer smile throughout the drama.

- real life is generally a little less fun than that of dramas (where the heroes overcome all difficulties and excel in everything they do ;)

=> To rewatch without hesitation !!!

SUPER DRAMA, cute, romantique, réconfortant, avec 2 très grands leads, Chen Zhe Yuan en ML & Zhao Lu Si en FL.

Plot : crush dès 14 ans, d'une lycéenne sur l'ami de son frère, 5 ans plus âgé. Ils seront séparés pendant quelques années, se retrouvent quand elle a 17 ans & lycéenne. Grosse déception pour elle, il a déménagé, commencé à travailler, et elle pense qu'il a une petite amie.
Deux ans plus tard, devenue étudiante dans la même ville que lui, ils se retrouvent et se rapprochent peu à peu.

On suit le parcours de la FL, ses 1ers émois, ses hésitations, ses souffrances, son parcours. Et Zhao Lu Si est remarquable aussi bien en lycéenne qu'en toute jeune adulte qui veut protéger son amoureux.

Le ML, interprété par Chen Zhe Yuan, a tous les green flags. Il est beau (très :), mature, responsable, respectueux. Ses moments de vulnérabilité sont touchants, et CZY est tellement bon dans ce rôle, qu'on a tous envie de le réconforter !

+ l'alchimie exceptionnelle, les interactions naturelles entre les 2 leads
+ L'histoire, très bien écrite, est assez réaliste, sans twist, sans great evil (même la stalker est à peu près "humaine").
+ la réalisation est parfaite, sans temps mort.
+ Les OST sont bien adaptés et agréables (2 chansons avec la participation de Zhao Lu Si)
+ l'histoire réconfortante et chaleureuse, fait sourire le spectateur durant tout le drama.

- la vraie vie est en général un peu moins sympa que celle des dramas (où les héros surmontent toutes les difficultés et excellent dans tout ce qu'ils font ;)

=> A revoir sans hésitation !!!

The cutest slipper commercial in the universe!

The biggest problem with this drama is that the part I wanted to watch starts only at episode 8~. Until then there were quite a few uncomfortable moments, due to some really weird casting and cinematographic choices. The young FL is supposed to be a 14 year old, but the actress playing her is like a second grader in elementary school, her interactions with ML were nothing bad in terms of plot and script, but the suggestive lighting & framing is really really weird at times. (I had a hard time getting past this part tbh)

Every romance drama has some flair & flavor to give a little contrast to all the sugar. This one has very few scenes outside of the leads' personal world, but what little there is, tends to be rather boring, or just plain bad. (concerns of ML's parents, ML's family things, ML's stalker, stalker's boss friend, workplace things)

Another minor gripe I have with the drama is how much FL is treated like a teenage princess in her relationship. This seems to be a recurring theme in cdrama roms these days, but I'm just not a fan.

So why is it still 8/10?

Well, we watch romantic comedies for the actual romance and that is really absolutely out of this world good in this one. The chemistry, the visuals, the mood, the acting, the red ears, well really everything pertaining to romance (well other than the princess thing) is 10/10 awesome. I always understood why Lusi is touted by many as THE romcom queen, but personally I did not like a single one of her dramas due to various reasons. I feel she is far better in this one than in anything else before & there is some real acting chops here, beyond just being a top of the line comedienne. (and ML of course is the perfect partner)

I too found the brother-sister relationship very amusing & wholesome, but I don't think it's possible to have such a brother in real life. :-) (I'm talking about FL's real blood related brother here of course.)

a truly healing and heartwarming romance

"I healed the wounds of his youth and he fulfilled my young first love."


This drama was such a sweet surprise for me. I confess I wasn't expecting much of it and as we say in portuguese: this show promised nothing and delivered everything.

There are such great points to talk about here that I don't even know where to start... The screenplay for this drama was perfect, the cast, the ost, the acting, the friendships, the chemistry... everything was perfection and there's no other word to describe it.

It was truly a healing romance and I loved every second of it, from her young first love, where she had a crush on him when she was younger, to when they meet again as adults and he starts to fall for the little things about her.

Their relationships with the people around them were also great, I truly loved seeing Zhi grow and find some real friends and the tragic first best friend of hers we are introduced to at the start of the show. There was also some drama along they way and things that could've easily brought misunderstandings among the main couple, but in the end, I loved how they always made things clear, allowing no wedges to come between them.

This is the first time I give a drama a 10/10 in rewatch value and that's just how good this was. I would rewatch it a thousand times all over again, just to seem them slowly falling for each other once again.

Jia Xu was also such a great guy, I loved how forward he was in persuing her and making himself clear about it, knowing she would probably feel insecure at first.

Anyways, it's a beautiful story about love, friendships, family and youth. I loved this and truly recommend it to anyone, because if you don't like this drama... well the problem it's probably you lol

if u truly desire something... it will come to you automatically

Hidden love… What to say about this? It's been 2 years since the drama ended, but still the memories of the wonderful drama have not faded away from our minds. To be honest, I just watched this drama last year (don’t know the exact date because I’m still watching it LOL), and I’ve fallen in love with this one head over heels. It’s a unique and top-notch drama to watch. And also, I heard a lot of negative comments regarding the age gap and her childish behavior and a lot. But come on, guys, 5 years is not that much of a gap to talk about. Honestly, I’m married, and the age gap between me and my husband is 5 years… Believe me, it's a great age gap. This is one of the reasons I enjoyed it a lot. Please ignore the negative comments about it.

About the story, there are limited people in the show. No clumsiness at all. And the screenplay of the show and the changes between brother to crush/crush to love are everything smooth like butter. The cuteness is everywhere in the drama. It's emotionally connected with the people who are ever watching it.

There are no words to explain the acting of the main leads. It's worth watching their chemistry on screen and even off screen. No negative comments from my end. It's been a long time. I’m obsessed with a couple, but this one is surely in my top 3 list. They are the best to portray the characters. No one else could slay it like they did in the drama. It's like watching a real-life couple and not a series. Now Duan Juaxu is the man of my dreams. Like in the show, he is handsome, has a good temper, is good at everything he does, and is morally composed. CZY's acting skill is more like he is not acting at all. He is simply living in the character. The way he talks/his “hmmms” and the way he fell harder are really fantastic. The way he first felt like his own sister and the feeling changed into like and LOVE, all these feelings are shown through his eyes. He is the best boyfriend and husband material every girl dreamed of. and the way he tries to keep the relationship strong is really heart-touching, and he never hesitates to show his feelings in front of her family and friends also. Sang Zhi, she is one example of true love. She never hesitated to show her love for him, and in the beginning she was a bit reluctant to show her feelings due to the fact that previously they shared a brother-sister relationship, but after the confession she never hesitated to show how much she loved him, and even she confessed the truth that she tried to hide several years. And the childlike behavior of hers is shown like that in the show because she is a pampered girl in the family by her parent and her brother, but still she showed her mature side also when it's needed, like talking with Jiang Ying and her boss, etc. Both of their charming chemistry will make you smile while watching them on screen. If you talk about her brother Sang Yan, he is one of a kind. He never misses protecting his sister, and the sibling fights are heart-melting. The friendship between him and Duan is simply awesome. And their relationship from college to the end of the drama was eye-catching.

The bonding between Jiaxu and his friends, Sang Zhi and her friends, Sang Zhi with her parents, Jiaxu with his mother, and Jiaxu with Sang Zhi’s parents is eye-catching.

In this show, they showed only the positive things we can endure throughout our lives and ignore the negative things.

100/100 from my end.
