Behind Your Touch

Hits the mark with Comedy and Romance but it just feels like there's something missing.

Behind Your Touch plays on several elements seen in the likes of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon and Crash Course in Romance, wherein a relatively contained level of world-building fuels romance and comedy but also throws in a complicated hint of mystery and crime. However, it executes this plot much better than the other two dramas. So far, it appears to keep you on your toes, never giving too much away, but also creating an environment of bitingly comedic romance and more. I'm a bit worried about the stagnancy of the plot as comedy-mystery-type dramas often miss the mark when it comes to keeping a balance between fast pace and deliberate devices to stall the plot. I'm also... thrown off by the script and waiting for the slapstick character development.

Story:

The plot of this show revolves around a hilarious incident in which our protagonist, Ye-bun, is given the power of being able to see other people's memories by touching their... rear end. I know this is a plot device to create light-hearted, comedic situations but... Yes, a little perverted. Even weirder if the roles were switched around and it was a man gifted such a power. Which does put you off a bit at first as a brief ethical question that leaves room for criticism.

Our protagonist Ye-bun has an interesting set-up as a vet with a dotted past. She's young at heart, despite being in her mid-30s, and immature as well as innovative. Such a rowdy personality is balanced by the male lead Jang-yeol who is sharp, equally comedic given the occasion and is an outsider to the small town, desperate to return to Seoul for unknown reasons. The second male lead, Sun-woo, is presented as that handsome yet quiet outsider that Ye-bun hilariously drools over.

I'm reminded of The Killer's Shopping List in terms of the balance between having such comedic main characters at the forefront of a plot with silent crime lurking in the background. You'll be left howling at the hilarity of some of the situations, secretly loving the townspeople as no detail goes unnoticed with their developed personalities that are present enough to make an impression but not too strong to steal away from the main three characters. At the same time, there is plenty of seriousness to go around.

However... this is what it's been like for the past 5 episodes. I'm still waiting on the character development or at least just something. I don't really know but it just feels like something is missing from this drama to give it that one final push into being good?

Plot-wise, it's those typical procedural dramas with an extra plot brewing in the background. You'll be seeing a lot of new faces, and sometimes you'll have to move on to the next episode being a bit like "Wait, what's gonna happen to X? What happened to Y?" I think that's just because this show goes through characters so quickly.

Additionally, I did not like the side romance LMAO involving Ye-bun's aunt. I thought it was ridiculous and annoying. Sorry not sorry. The problem there was that they made her character so unlikeable in the beginning and a little bit irritating, and that the actual romance between her and the police captain is unnecessary (in my opinion) and felt like they wanted to beef up her character and the level of world-building in the small town. (You can skip these scenes, as I did. They're super short and feel like filler if anything.) They made her a "supporting character" but you honestly didn't need to make her life revolve around romance of all things.

I'm only halfway through the drama but so far I'm finding it fairly good. It's not overly amazing or anything, but it doesn't have to be, it only has to be watchable to be enjoyable in my opinion and I love the consistent humour and brewing love triangle. I will admit I got bored around Episode 6 but only because there was a much greater shift in tone from the "comedy" that felt like I was watching a completely different show. I'll give Episode 7 a try and see if it improves.

Acting:

I think everyone's acting is pretty on par with their characters. Suho, former EXO member, has had a few main lead roles here and there but you can tell he's fairly new in terms of creating an elusive character like Sun Woo, who is always with a smile and a quiet mind. Especially because his previous dramas haven't received that high ratings. His character is a complete contrast to the other male lead, which I think he does greatly with his mannerisms and pale expression. Han Ji Min plays Ye-bun with a smiley face and dramatic fashion. I think there were some scenes where I wasn't too sure about whether she had the "right" expression or not. But that might also be due to the comedy element of this show. She's energetic, whiny and a great character with a distinctness to her that separates her from the likes of other female characters.

As for Lee Min Ki, who plays Jang-yeol, he has an extremely tired face, but a definitive attractiveness and certain "arrogance" to his expression that helps capture Jang-yeol's personality in terms of his dynamic with Ye-bun.

Scriptwise, I understand they were working with what they were given. Imagine opening up the script to see you have to be fondling the rear end of your co-star. I'd be howling. Anyway yeah, sometimes the script felt like it wasn't for the same show. It just seemed to be flat at times but also nothing really... nuanced or hard-hitting. Sometimes you need a script that actually makes the scenes memorable, but because of how quick things go, it just feels like one thing after another.

Music:

I love the music in this drama! In fact, that's what got me hooked after the first episode really. The OST is modern and upbeat, which greatly emulates the youthful themes of the drama but also the correlation of the main leads' dynamic.

Rewatch Value:

Possibly a 6/10. I imagine that once we have those big grand reveals towards the end of the drama in terms of who is good/bad, who is doing what etc. then the drama feels a bit obsolete if you know what has happened. However, this drama sustains itself because of how strongly developed the personalities are as well as the tons of things going on in each episode.

Usually, the showrunners think that having plenty of plot is what keeps the audience engaged, but they always compound it too quickly and make it hard to differentiate or process the events. Behind Your Touch manages to avoid this problem. As the scenes don't drag on for too long which makes you kinda forget stuff that has already happened.

Overall:

I'm not going to try and sell this drama as more than what it is. But it is really a funny yet interesting watch. I did get a bit... bored by Episode 6. Only because there was a shift in tone due to the plot. I don't think it's the best thing yet because the balance between comedy and thriller is a fine line that can't be dragged out and I'm a bit worried that this show might do that.

Bello e fatto bene

Partiamo col dire che venivo da un periodo di drama "meh", cioè drama che avevo guardato però o non mi erano piaciuti, o non mi avevano preso. E sulla carta non mi ispirava tantissimo neppure questo. Avevo già visto drama e anche telefilm americani sulla psicometria da patita dei romanzi e telefilm con un pizzico di paranormal. Non per nulla ero grande fan del telefilm MEDIUM. Però ho voluto comunque dargli una possibilità e per fortuna che l'ho fatto perchè questo drama è stato una boccata d'aria fresca dopo mesi di delusioni. Carino, divertente, irriverene, capace di prendersi in giro ma senza esagerare, senza eroine martiri a casa o sul lavoro o so tutto io, senza predestinazioni o ci eravamo incontrati in fasce quindi era destino di reincontrassimo, e senza cattivi troppo ovvi o che alla fine si autodenunciano.
NO, qui c'è da ridere, c'è da commuoversi, c'è da pensare, c'è un'indagine abbastanza seria, un killer che finalmente ammette che non uccide per un motivo ma solo perchè gli piace quindi è inutile che la polizia cercasse un movente....Tutto torna e anche i protagonisti non si innamorano di colpo, c'è una simaptia ma questo non è un drama romance e lo sa. E il fatto che l'eroina debba toccare i sederi per vedere il passato delle persone da quel giusto pizzico di brio alla cosa senza mai cadere nel volgare. Così come i poteri derivanti da una mucca esplosa. Forse l'unico difetto che posso trovare al drama è che dalla metà in poi è molto più serio e cupo, pur non dimenticando mai le sue radici ironiche, e due o tre episodi potevano forse essere tagliati verso il finale. Infatti l'indagine gira un po' su se stessa. Ma ci sta per confondere lo spettatore e poi tutto vierne spiegato bene grazie al cielo. Se non fosse per il finale della puntata finale che mi ha lievemente deluso perchè speravo i due protagonisti almeno uscissero ufficialmente insieme, gli avrei dato nove pieno.

Não é para mim

Se você gosta de humor pastelão, aquele bem forçado e quer algo para passar o tempo esse drama é para você , boa sorte vai precisar.
Agora se não gosta do genêro não embarque nessa, vai por mim isso vai te deixar irritado.
Eu não gostei de nada deste drama , a história do assasinato até que era interessante , porém a comédia exagerada destruiu qualquer interesse que eu tinha por isso.
Infelizmente não essse drama não funcionou para mim , assisti até o fim por inssistencia e orgulho pois por pior que seja gosto de asssistir tudo , tentei achar algo que valesse a pena mas realmente não achei. Aquele humor forçado, personagens caricatos só faziam que eu me revirasse no sofá.

Behind Your Touch é aquele dorama que mistura o improvável: poderes psíquicos, crimes brutais e romance doido, tudo no mesmo pacote. E a gente assiste sem saber se ri, investiga ou se apaixona.

É aquele dorama que começa com a cara de comédia absurda e termina te prendendo em uma trama policial surpreendentemente bem amarrada. E sim, a premissa é esquisita: uma veterinária que ganha o dom de ver o passado das pessoas ao tocar… o bumbum delas. (Eu sei, parece piada — mas segura.)

Yeo Bong, a protagonista sensitiva, é carismática, determinada e totalmente fora dos padrões de heroína comum. Já o detetive Jang Yeol, estourado, cético e rabugento, é o contraponto perfeito — e aos poucos, o improvável vira parceria, e a parceria vira tensão romântica daquelas que fazem a gente torcer e gritar com a tela.

O dorama transita entre o cômico, o bizarro e o sombrio com uma fluidez estranha que… funciona. Os assassinatos chocam, os momentos fofos aquecem, e o roteiro consegue, com delicadeza e loucura, falar sobre solidão, luto e conexões humanas.

✨ Alguns toques revelam segredos. Outros, sentimentos. E alguns… despertam o que a gente nem sabia que sentia. 💫🖐️

Misterios rurales con un toque muy peculiar

Esta serie coreana, también conocida como Behind Your Touch, fue una sorpresa total. Imagina una veterinaria en un pueblo tranquilo que, de la nada, obtiene poderes psicométricos... pero solo si toca el trasero de alguien. Sí, así de raro suena, y aún así funciona. La historia mezcla comedia, suspenso y un poco de romance, todo en un entorno rural donde los crímenes parecen simples... hasta que no lo son. El dúo protagonista —una veterinaria con poderes y un detective algo intenso— tiene una química divertida, con momentos que van desde lo absurdo hasta lo emocional. Lo que más me gustó fue cómo la serie no se toma demasiado en serio, pero tampoco cae en lo superficial. Tiene ese equilibrio entre lo ridículo y lo intrigante que te hace decir “ok, solo un episodio más”... y de pronto ya vas por el 10. No es una historia épica, pero sí una experiencia diferente. Si te gustan los dramas que se atreven a mezclar géneros y romper un poco las reglas, esta es una buena opción para pasar el rato.

Drama investigativo leggero fantasy, carino, ma sembrava meglio

Bel drama, ma la prima puntata ( ma anche le prime 3/4 ) dava l'idea di una cosa un pò diversa. Inizia come una un drama commedia fantasy simpatico, a volte divertente e demenziale. Poi inizia una prima parte investigativa, sugli animali, ancora leggerina e simpatica. Seconda parte passa entra sempre più in scena la trama investigativa principale e seria. Da un lato, ti offre molti dubbi su chi possa essere il colpevole, fornendoti continue teorie false, questo ti spinge ad andare a avanti e vedere se le tue teorie siano esatte o meno, chi sarà il colpevole? Ma come dicono altri il ritmo cala, non c'è una parte sentimentale o intensa che emozioni, resta un normale investigativo fantasy, però un pò intrigante ( con un discreto difetto nella trama finale, non spoilero nulla: ma ditemi voi come ha fatto a muoversi per tutto quel tragitto senza vedere e soprattutto a ritornare via da lì...)
Cosa strana, Jimin non ha mai provato su se stessa il potere...fosse capitato a me, mi sarei messo subito le mani sul mio sedere per provare se funzionava e testarlo ^o^
Jimin sempre brava...meno bella ( cavolo, con quel taglio di capelli, quei vestiti, quella parte un pò da sfigatella, non è certo la Jimin amorevole di love scout e one spring night.
OST nella norma, degna di nota solo la sigla principale HIP HOP - Jooheon (MONSTA X).
Come molti polizieschi investigativi, poco rivedibile, conoscendo la trama.

Não espere muita coisa.

A série em si é muito animada e divertida, praticamente devorei os episódios porque parecia ser uma série sobre investigações que apesar do alivio cômico seguia uma linha de raciocínio concreta e bem estruturada.
Aí chegamos no meio da história, e tudo desanda.
Primeiramente, a série em si é muito engraçada mas coloca certas cenas de comedia em momentos completamente inoportunos (como por exemplo morder a cabeça de um assassino em série que acabou de te ameaçar de morte????) que não deixam a obra em nada mais leve, apenas idiota.
O roteiro se perde e você começa a sentir que o desfecho foi feito apenas para impactar e sem intenção nenhuma de realmente se conectar com a história.
O xamã ser o vilão?????? fala sério que decepção
parece que eles pegaram um NPC aleatório da história só pra impactar com um plot imprevisível.
A doutora em diversos momentos me irrita profundamente (por exemplo quando ela continua a ver um suspeito de ser o vilão apesar do detetive avisar que ela não deveria, tipo?????? ela mesma suspeitava do cara e colocava a vida em risco porque tinha interesse nele??? fala sério Horrível!)
Aí ele morre (Seon-Woo) , uma morte que sinceramente pra mim foi muito inteligente, dado o poder (podre também inclusive) do xamã (inclusive o que aconteceu com o filho dele?) e não comoveu em nada pq a personalidade do Seon Woo era só ser o crush sem sal da doutora (não tinham química nenhuma inclusive)
Do nada o detetive começa a ter sentimentos por ela (sem nenhuma cena que indicasse que ele via ela de uma forma diferente) e ficou por isso mesmo.
Começaram a investigação da mãe dela, que pra mim foi o auge do programa e jogaram pro ar pra entregar um xamã leproso vilão
Fora que libertaram um PSICOPATA SERIAL KILLER pra salvar a Ok-Hui do sequestro e nem usaram ele pra achar ela???? só libertaram o cara e usaram as pistas que eles JÁ TINHAM pra resgatar, isso me deixou pessoalmente irritada. Porque um detetive experiente e uma médica escolheriam libertar uma ameaça à segurança nacional em nome de uma pessoa só? sem garantia nenhuma de resgate, apenas ameaças? não faz sentido algum.
Fora que DO NADA tem envolvimento com o gangster que tinha treta com o detetive só pra entregar uma cena podre dele lutando num galpão contra 20 cabeças isso n faz sentido algum.

Enfim mais uma série com muito potencial que cagaram no desenvolvimento e final. Mas foi divertido.

SE ERA PARA SER COMÉDIA PECARAM MISERAVELMENTE

O drama começa chato sem um laço que te liguei a ele e continua com louvor no mesmo nada, parece até interessante o poder da protagonista e você fica achando que vai acontecer alguma coisa que vai te prender a trama ,mas não acontece nada , até as piadas são chatas e sem contesto na história , o que mais me revoltou é o policial simplesmente agredir a prota feminina por nada desde o primeiro encontro ele não pergunta motivo , causa ou o que houve só simplesmente agride a coitada e ela não fala nada fica quieta só aceitando.

O protagonista masculino é só um policial com ego ferido mas que se confirma que ele é um inútil se nem drogas sabe localizar com maestria , fica perseguindo uma idealização de que vai para algum lugar se fizer algo mais continua na mesma mediocridade, se era para ser um drama cômica pegou com louvor pois não achei nada nem um mísero detalhe engraçado ou digno de graça

Mistério muito bom!

Um drama absolutamente adorável. Comédia para te fazer rolar de rir e um mistério bem escrito, quase irretocável. Modéstia à parte, sou muito boa em desvendar mistérios. Depois de anos assistindo C.S.I. e outras séries de investigação minha habilidade de dedução em roteiros de mistério é realmente muito boa, porém no caso desde drama minhas teorias sobre o assassino caíam por terra toda vez que o meu suspeito se tornava uma vítima. Mérito total dos roteiristas que foram muito inteligentes e brincaram com os telespectadores dando pistas falsas ao mesmo tempo que esfregavam na nossa cara (até da vidente) o verdadeiro culpado. Todos nós fomos feitos de bobos (no bom sentido rs). Inclusive quero assistir o drama uma segunda vez para prestar mais atenção aos detalhes agora que sei quem é o culpado.

As cenas de comédia do Chefe dos detetives com a tia da Bong Ye Bun recriando cenas de twenty one, twenty five e a gangue da Ok Hee foram realmente hilárias. Fora o fato da Bong Ye Bun ter que tocar a bunda das pessoas para ver as memórias... sempre constrangedor e ridículo (no bom sentido kkkk). E, claro, mais uma vez Han Jimin muito boa no papel de protagonista (amo!).

Só não digo que o drama foi 10/10 porque ficaram ainda algumas pontas soltas. Achei que a morte da mãe da Bong Ye Bun estaria relacionado ao assassino, mas pelo visto o culpado foi só mais uma das vítimas do assassino em série e este caso ficou mesmo sem um fechamento. Também não achei a motivação do assassino muito convincente. Acho que depois do mistério revelado, os roteiristas se perderam um pouco e teve muito enrolação para a captura do assassino , mas nada que tire o mérito do drama como um todo. Recomendo!
