A Serial Killer Thriller
A BLOODY LUCKY DAY is a interesting and thrilling Kdrama about an optimistic taxi driver who is desperate to pay off his financial debts, having been a victim of a scammer, in order to restore and reunite his family. In order to accomplish this, he begins taking on extra clientele, one of which turns out to be a serial killer.Lee Sung-min plays the optimistic, kind-natured, Oh Taek. He is very believable and memorable in his role and I always enjoy his acting. His happy-go-lucky persona is perfectly counter balanced by the dark, sadistic character of Lee Byeong-min (played by Yoo Yeon-seok). The two have an interesting chemistry and creates great tension for the series.
There is another parallel storyline in this series about a mother (Yoon Se-na played by Han Dong-hee) doggedly searching for her son’s killer. She is another excellent and believable character and you can really empathize for her situation.
The whole series is really intense, realistic and compelling, although there are a few aspects where you may have to suspend your disbelief. It never felt too much and certainly kept things interesting, in my opinion.
“An ordinary taxi driver who becomes entangled with a customer that turns out to be a serial killer.”
Overall, this was an excellent show. I appreciate the unique approach to the somewhat overdone genre and topic of mystery / thrillers concerning serial killers. The acting is really great, as is the storyline, settings and music. This was a really fun watch and I can’t wait to see more! Wooo Part 2!

When Gullibility Undermines the Thrills
A decent thriller. I probably would have enjoyed it more if it didn't rely so heavily on a gullible protagonist and incompetent authorities to create the twists and turns. I don't mind these elements in moderation, but this drama had too many contrivances, one after another, that killed the suspense for me. Contrary to popular opinion, I enjoyed the latter half more, perhaps because it felt like a more balanced cat-and-mouse game. The acting and the female characters carried the show for me.Was this review helpful to you?

Buckle Up For This 10-Episode Gripping and Adrenaline-Racing MOVIE!
As the title states, the strongest qualities of this drama is the fact that the sole experience of watching it felt like a 10-episode movie. It was action packed, gripping, suspenseful, light-hearted (at times), and even emotional. It never had a dull moment.Another strong point of this drama was the cast lineup. Stellar throughout the board, especially from Yoo Yeon-Seok. As the actor who’s embodied complex roles such as the iconic Gu Dong Mae in Mr. Sunshine, Yoo Yeon-Seok doesn’t fail to impress me with his ability to capture a wide range of emotions, perfectly switching up from an innocent man to a ruthless, perverse serial killer. I nickname him as the "chameleon" of the industry!
Speaking for the plot itself, originality is there, predictability is low, and the flow and pacing of events is above average. Character development, especially from the taxi driver, is what took the prize for this category. We see him going from a naïve old man to a father who’s hell-bent on taking revenge.
It did, however, have some plot holes that needed to be patched up. Most, if not all of these inconsistencies centered around Yoo Yeon-Seok’s character and his past. I feel like we’ve only touched on the tip of the iceberg regarding his family history, which plays into the possible conversation of nature or nurture, why our serial killer is the way he is, etc. Along with that, our serial-killer of a side character has one of the most durable plot-armors I’ve ever seen, logic is out of the window towards the second half, characters that seem vital to the plot are actually cannon-fodders in disguise that make a cameo for 5 minutes episodes then disappear, and the director applied some of their notes from watching soap opera’s into our family-dynamics
Overall, I’d say that A Bloody Lucky Day is definitely a must-watch for fans of fast-paced, adrenaline racing thrillers!

It won’t hurt anyone if I gave this a 10~ my last drama completed in 2023It slowed and repeated a bit in a couple of eps, but the acting, the acting, and the acting were amazing
The development, the progress and the process, and ending were all great
Most shows take the shortcut and end it at places like the boast deck, things aren’t wrapped up or explained
There are many monsters in this world, but hope will prevail
I don’t blame taekssi for how he got, but the fact that he didn’t kill the wife/child, and he kept his pure heart was :)
He still wanted to rid the world of that monster, he was broken once that he didn’t trust his words so he got broken twice and he wanted to “lash out”, but still his heart was too soft and hyuksoo was wrong, not everyone can turn into a monster
I’m glad cherrie and sana lived, I’m glad the wife believed everything and loathed her husband. Small details and small parts for women, but each shined well
This has more content than most 20ep dramas xD

amazing drama
This is the first time I’ve ever written a review for a series, but I had to share how incredible it is! Every single episode is packed with excitement — there’s never a dull moment. The storytelling, acting, and suspense kept me hooked from start to finish. The characters are well-developed, and the plot twists are genuinely surprising. I found myself constantly wanting to know what would happen next. If you're looking for a show that’s thrilling, emotional, and truly entertaining, this one is absolutely worth your time. Highly recommended! Was this review helpful to you?

Why Is No One Talking About This?
How is it that a drama with such a stacked cast has flown so under the radar? I didn’t even know A Bloody Lucky Day existed until I stumbled upon it by accident—and that in itself feels almost criminal. This is suspense in its purest form. From the moment the show begins, the tension is suffocating. The cinematography, the pacing, the eerie, pulse-pounding score—every single element is designed to keep you on edge. And then there’s the performances. My god, the performances. This cast doesn’t just act; they completely embody their roles, delivering some of the most intense, nerve-wracking, and emotionally charged portrayals I’ve seen in a long time.
The show’s structure is another stroke of brilliance. The main events unfold over just 4.5 hours in-universe, interwoven with flashbacks and an aftermath that lingers like an emotional bruise. Over 10 episodes, it crafts a masterclass in tension while still leaving room for deeper emotional beats. And when that final song plays? It’s not just an ending—it’s a release. Tears fall, not just from sorrow or relief, but from the overwhelming satisfaction of witnessing something this well-executed.
