But if you love Aouad, Das, Aib and Sgame then this drama is exactly the one for you.

The only bad thing I will say about this drama is I kinda got traumatized with the choice of the music, I can’t really see another high school drama with the same music choice without thinking about night has come. Aka the school bell 🔔🫢

But otherwise I don’t have any bad to say about the show.

The story will keep you thinking from start to the end. make you wonder, love and hate different characters.
Because I have seen some similar dramas I could predict some of the plot twist but HOW they became to be or HOW the series showed us the plot twist was different from what I thought they’d be, so that was entertaining itself.

I watch this show while it aired from 1-4 and waited till every episode dropped. it was nerve wrecking to wait for episodes to come out and I envy a lot of people who can binge watch in one sitting.

The actors did a FANTASTIC and excellent acting 🎭 in this series, especially Cha Woo Min who plays Kyungjun ~ either you really came to love his character Kyungjun or you came to really hate his character. No in between 🤭

and

Ahn Ji Ho who plays Jin Da Beom. He was so talented, him in the later episodes, I could feel the emotion.

In my opinion, you’re allowed to disagree, I think Kyungjun carried the first half of the series and Da Beom carried the last half of the series.

I was mesmerized by Woo mins acting and hurried to watch what else he acts in, they’re both young so I was surprised when I found out I’ve seen both before ~ Ahn Ji ho in All of us are dead and Cha Woo Min in Weak hero class 1.

The female lead, Lee Jae in did an amazing performance. I’ve seen her in Racket Boys where I fell in love with her acting, and she’s so young too, only 19.

I’m not familiar with many of the rest of cast but I can’t wait for what new projects they get. They all did a good performance.

All I can say is I loved this series, it was just what I needed while waiting for season 2 of All of us are dead, and can’t wait to the 2nd season of this one when it drops someday.
Hopefully soon they’ll announce 📣 a 2nd season 🙏

Some 📣SPOILER📣 and theories down below 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

Have you seen Weak hero class 1?

As we all know Weak hero class 1 first season is a flashback/ prologue to the WEBTOON and it starts up in the WEBTOON where Seiun is at the school in the end in episode 8.

Maybe this, Night has come, series is similar to above. They rushed the story, didn’t flesh out some characters or plot cuz they’re doing it in season 2, this season is meant for us to just get to know the characters ~ to get a feeling of how they’re are or are supposed to be like. For an example, ~ Kyungjun, he didn’t get a redemption arc or anything, that could he get in season 2, and the same with the mafias, none of them was fleshed out except Da Beom a little.

With the civilians not doing anything, they could show improvement in season 2 cuz we already know they didn’t do well in this game.

With the ghost thing, that’s implied as just a bug or them remembering something they don’t know ~ they got their memory erased so they didn’t remember Se eun ~ and that scary so that could be an answer for you.
also every flashback Fl had could be answered as her slowly getting her memories back, both from previous games and from real life outside the game.

For your question ~ why the parents erase the kids memories ~ can be answered as if they know who is mafia ~ we’re going from the assumption that every game is mafia ~ then in next game they 1) know who to not/ who to trust, 2) if they knew they weren’t dying irl they would really care who’s mafia or even want to play the game/care if they died, 3) they’d easily ~ all civilians ~ keep wining cuz they already know who’s mafia + 4) if they know it was all about Se eun they’d just put 2+2 together like Kyungjun did with Woo ram, camera guy, and the girl he killed.

And the ending does lead up to a 2nd season with all the unsolved questions it gave us, it feels more of an introduction of the characters, rules + plot etc. and every weird happening from earlier episodes like the one where Kyungjun got up 2nd time could be explained as a glitch in the game. We also do not know a whole lot of what the characters did in between the day ~ they woke up, talked or fought a little and then all met up at 11 at night before voting and then they showed a little of the mafia at night towards the end. What did they do in between, just counted their thumbs?

They could show us a different version or what they did, in 2nd season they could flesh out more of the characters course you already know them or flesh out the game more course you already know the rules and what could happen etc.

If any have anything to add or their own explanation or theories, please feel free to comment :3 I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Like this if you like myself pray for a 2nd Season 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Amazing plot ?

Very interesting, I binged watched the whole thing in one sitting. You won't be able to guess what happens next and it not the same repetitive plot we keep seeing.

However it does have the corny kdrama bullies 😞.Aside from that it is very interesting and I would recommend to anyone just be careful if you can't handle too much killings or blood. Great plot twist and also very attractive characters. If you are looking for romance though there isn't much of that but it does have the subtle splashes, but nothing much.

Night Has Come: a thrilling mystery

Night Has Come has a brilliant cast and unique storyline. The beginning was off to a great start and sets up the entire story to a high standard. The first half of the show was intense and enticing, it pulls you in, and leaves you in suspense, wanting to watch more. The second half of the show is equally disappointing. The story was eccentric but the execution was subpar. There were a lot of plot holes and storylines that led no where.
To start off, I really liked the location chosen and how they set up the surroundings. the initial building was thrilling, even scary to a point. The lighting , alarm and music really set the tone, I especially loved the music they used for midnight when the citizens slept. Yet, with each episode the story starts going downhill. The behavior of the characters weren't consistent either. I also don't like how they gave both Jun Hee and Yoon Seo holier-than-thou personalities. It basically chipped away at their personality. The ratio between citizens and mafia was quite high, yet the mafia team played them like a fiddle.
At one point, I was hoping for the mafia to win, because it seemed like they were the only ones using their brains in the game.
I also didn't like how the citizens were portrayed as innocent and the mafia as the criminals when both parties were choosing to kill someone, both of them didn't have a choice, it was either kill or be killed.
I also wondered about the whole supernatural sub plot going on, even though it led to nowhere.
The ending was the biggest let down, with it being left open ended and with a lot of questions being left unanswered.
• How did they kidnap all the students? where did all this high tech equipment come from? If her parents were so good at tech why didn't they delete Se Eun's video or tracked it down to who recorded it and report it to the police? Why torture all the innocent students?
• If Jung Won is just a code, how did she gain her own consciousness? why did she only help Jun Hee and Yoon Seo and not the others?
• What was the point of leading the boundary up to the hill? just to set the tone? but there was no significant or logical reason to do so.
• why introduce the storyline of the ghost and then drop it mid way?
• Who took Yoon Seo to the parallel world when she fell through the floor? if it was Jung Won, how did she do it and why? If it was the parents, why would they do that?
• Who were the other students from different schools they showed in the journal Yoon Seo found? was it just for show?
• How long will this thing actually last? At one point the parents will start looking for their kids and get the police involved, won't they get caught eventually?
• is it even revenge if the students memory just get wiped out and they restart again and again?
I was so interested in why Se Eun was dead and whether it was actually some murder behind the scenes but the story revealed was also mediocre at best. The video looked so obviously photoshopped, who in this day and age in high school can't tell fake videos apart.
The saving grace of the show was the acting of the cast, special mention to the actors of Jin Da Beom and Go Kyung Jun.

masterpiece.

I binged this kdrama and it was so worth it. there were no boring episodes and they chose the perfect people for each role. many people have been dissatisfied with the ending, but personally, I actually liked the ending. It wasn‘t something I expected, but it isn‘t that bad like people say it is. I definitely want a season 2 and it has also been revealed that season 2 will be coming which I‘m very happy about because many things haven‘t been explained well and some things are still left open. imo best kdrama of 2023, I could literally rewatch it every day. love it so much

Where Night Was Meant to End, the Story Truly Began

The storyline of this K-drama is truly captivating. I feel like all the elements were perfectly intertwined and harmonized. If I could, I would rewatch it immediately, but I think it's better to wait a little.

The character development could be considered slightly lacking, as I believe some characters didn’t really have any.
Among them all, Go Kyung-Jun is the one I felt most connected to—his transformation is evident from the very first death. He continues to appear tough, but in his moments of solitude, you can see all the sadness in his eyes. I think his character is the best written out of all of them.

The plot is really unique, and I truly hope a second season will be announced, as I believe it could become even more successful than the first.

The story was accompanied by sounds and music that perfectly matched the tone of the series. Normally, I don’t pay much attention to music in shows, but in this case, it played an important role in the emotions I felt while watching.

This K-drama instantly became one of my all-time favorite series as soon as I finished it.

Yoon seo and Jung won

This show was actually really good if u don’t try digging into every detail of it. There were plot holes when the ghost was revealed and they didn’t tell us why she was haunting yoon seo but other than that I think it was well thought out. also, I saw people stating how they were punishing their own daughter in a way if they saw Jung won as her somehow, and I wanna explain that they didn’t put her in there to punish her, they put her there to see her classmates suffer for herself and be the last one standing each time. The only reason it would seem to someone that they were punishing her too was bc she died in a round, but the reason they woke yoon seo up was to figure out how she got her to sacrifice herself. They realized there was a bug in the game and woke her up to fix it. so no, they were punishing their own daughter bc they never ment for her to sacrifice herself or take control of the character and actually feel what’s happening. they just wanted to see her win over the people who drove her to death, even if it was through a made up character. and her mother wasn’t thinking about her tbh, bc she knew she wouldn’t want this. She wasn’t mentally stable bc her kid is dead so obv she’s gonna have a twisted mindset.

quite an interesting story w some romance tht wasn't supposed to happen

I watched it without skipping a lot quite entertaining to see how they all turn their backs on their friends and oso hw u shldnt trust ppl too much as they cld stab u in the back.
Alot of revenge happening,a romance brewing which I was most interested in as the show cld develop in the future & it shows the true colours of ppl who u thought was a frn.
Although not a lot of ppl wld agree w my opinion but this kind of show interest me a lot as I played the game be4 and was quite surprised w hw well my frns cld act & lie during the game. I wld say it's best to have played the actual game in person to really understand the show & it's plot.

A Horror Winner!

Once I started watching this series, I must admit I haven't been hooked on a horror show like this since Squid Game season 1. At times it is extremely disturbing to watch, but you can't help being drawn into it. Every episode ends fantastically, leaving you wanting more. The characters are set in a way in which you really don't know who to root for, who you want to survive. With the exception of Kyung Jun, everyone else is relatively of good natured. Woo Min always seems to play someone you hate, so it was no shocker his character was the biggest antagonist of the cast. Seeing Ji Ho in other past roles, it was not expected for his character of Da Beom to end up the way he did, but he did a great job at playing it up toward the end.
Before seeing the last episode (12), I was completely planning on giving 10's across the board as a rating. I try not to give out 10's so easily, but I was set to ... but like I said, that was before episode 12. I was a little disappointed on the ending. It was definitely original, so you gotta give credit for that, I was just hoping for something a little better, a little different.
Overall, it was a great series, originality was front and center for a horror/drama. It had a great story line and a great cast to play it out. Definitely a winner!!!

Did parts of this remind anyone else of Danganronpa?

This show is MAJORLY UNDERRATED! Such a cool concept and love how it played out. The characters are all interesting too, whether you hate them or love them. This is the show that made me discover Cha Woo-Min and now I've seen everything he's been in! Love him! I didn't mind the ending of the show, but I could see how some people won't like it. I think it has great mystery, suspense, and gore. I've rewatched multiple times now and love it!

Here are some things I love about this show!
-The mystery of this show is great! I love seeing Yoon Seo try to solve it throughout the series.
-Yoon Seo & Jun Hee's relationship is so cute. I wish we got to see more of the romance between them, but I also understand why we don't. Also just loved them as individual characters as well.
-I didn't trust Jungwon from the beginning, so I didn't really like her. That being said I loved what she brought to the show as a character.
-Kyung Jun's character is misunderstood, and I will stand by that. Is he a good guy? No. Do I think he's a villain? Also no. He's not a great guy; we see that from the beginning when he was bullying a couple of the fellow students, but he's also not horrible like everyone says he is. He's also just way smarter than I think people give him credit for. There are multiple times in the show where something he says is proven right, including some of the mafia members. Also keeping his phone when people were putting it in the bin, hiding in the only room no one can break into therefore being safe, and more. He also does share all the food in the store where most "villains" in these shows don't.
-I loved seeing the different ways people died. That is probably crazy sounding, but I loved that it wasn't all the same!
-I love how many characters we got to know in this show. It really made you sad when good characters died.
-The ending. I understand 100% if people don't like it, but I loved it. I think virtual reality endings are usually a cheap way to end these types of stories but I think the way they did it in this series made so much sense. I just love that even after Yoon Seo gives her whole speech and everything that we see it didn't work and that the loop is once again starting over therefore it not having a happy ending.
-We got to see Cha Woomin shirtless. LOVED that!

The show is obviously not perfect, but I loved it so much!

Had potential

This drama caught my eye in beginning the storyline line was really good and had potential on being a big hit.

My theory was that one of the kid that got bullied set the game up to punish the bullies and it was just to scare them.

I didn’t get the point of killing the innocent people that did noting but I got the moms reasoning too, no one in her classes tried
To help nor stop the bullying.

The two bullies Kim So Mi and Go Kyung Jun lived on for too long for my liking I literally wanted to punch the mafia bully in the face everytime she came on screen. Her gaslighting everyone and them not thinking for themselves was soo annoying. I don’t know what it is with korean student in dramas they always have attitude and leave and bitter taste in my mouth.

What a disappointing ending omg it does leave room for theories but I don’t think there would be a season 2 unless they play the game again but that would make sense because Lee yoon seo knows about everything and it has bad ratings.

But over all I would’ve gave it a higher rating his the last 2 episodes didn’t go the way that it did I’m disappointed.

Day has come?

I literally never watch survival shows like this. Because I'm someone who doesn't like horror themes or ruthless killing and stuff like that. And when I attempted Duty after school I was traumatized 😭😂

With this out, I waw pretty curious because I like school themes and all ( same reason for trying DAS) and I really wasn't expecting much. But since there are no beast or so invading the world I did try and Omg. I love love love this show.

Sure enough some death scenes can be triggering! But I closed my eyes most at times lol. And enjoyed the flow of it's unique plot!

I liked the mystery theme so much! Like the suspense and all! It was well written and plotted out! The fact that I was never bored each episode and even when waiting for new episodes I was so anxious while coming up with endless theories for why this could have happened and what would happen next. Omg that was so fun! And I enjoyed each theories I made and each people I chatted with about our theories on this show lol.

I love the acting. Emotional and realistic. The characters were well written here. And even the ones who are evil are evil enough to be hated on lol. But I overall loved them all.

I never expected this to be one of my fav but it sure was and glad i saw it. So I'd highly recommend it to people who loves this genre and people who wish to try such genre but are scared of Duty After school and AOUAD. Because the tone of things are lighter here compared to those but it's certainly not INFERIOR to it in entertainment I believed. So please watch it and be intrigued already!

Kind of* scary

.
Good start
Waste of potential of characters

Unfortunately , I didn't like the ending
Even if it could be the only way to explain things in the best way

My expectations were much more from it.

Anyways
you should give it a try
and decide for yourself.
