I am watching on Netflix too, until today's episode
But Netflix has no express.

I just checked Youku and there's IDR 1,000 per 7 days subscription sale (considering it but I don't know if 7 days are enough to watch an old drama I ptw). TVOD/express costs IDR 68,000. That's expensive haha.
I never buy any express till now, no matter who's starring.

Youku is the worst tho, compared to iQIYI, the best so far, because I can watch all dramas with premium access. WeTV's express only applies 1 drama but express payment including the package at the ending, while Youku set 3 different payments. VIP, TVOD and express package.

Oh TVOD and Express Package was different? I got it wrong.
I bought standard VIP on iQIYI, not the premium one. But iirc my cousin have premium subscription and still being offered to buy express package. I just forgot which drama she mentioned to me. Could be Feud. Could be Coroner's Diary.
I rarely subscribe to WeTV. But when I do, I use internet provider package, it's cheaper. But I can't watch vertical drama using this package. And if you use a certain provider (Simpati?), it's free of charge together with Prime Video.
For Youku, somehow I usually subscribe to Youku to support my bias, but I end up dropping them all and watched other dramas like Sandstorm and Nobody Knows. I think Youku was the first one to offer tvod (and express package, since it's different). I remember planning to subscribe to Youku when The Immortal Ascension was airing, but I saw tvod and I back up because I haven't know about heat index and character index. No wonder you talked about 'squeezing us dry.' You're their target market hehe.
although I regret it when the drama goes down the drain midway.
That's sad. It's something that's unpredictable. I have trust issue towards several actors due to this keep happening to their dramas.
I saw the package by Simpati but never used it and with its limited access, the impatient me rather goes with wifi at home.
Oh really? Maybe because WeTV subscription using Simpati was free of charge so it has limited access. I used AXIS by paying IDR 21,000 for WeTV subscription and I can use wi-fi to watch it on the laptop. Just like IDR 65,000 subsciption on Netflix.

That's what she told me. I kinda confused too. Thought it was already fully covered. But she used to have one year premium vip and one year standard vip, a total of two years subscription; but isn't premium vip always being used first?
I prefer not to subscribe Youku, and glad that their dramas are also aired by Netflix lately. And everyone has netflix
True, seems like everyone has Netflix, just not everyone renew it without a stop. I will still subscribe to Youku when there's a spare time to watch some dramas I ptw on Youku that's not available anywhere else. There are at least 3 C-dramas. Not sure about the upcoming Youku dramas. I predict about 10-12 I ptw won't be on Netflix due to their plot or actor.
Cdrama airing platforms must love me then. I am their express market 😂😂

I turned on Netflix just now to watch ep 16 and I noticed ep 17 is October 10th and ep 18 with be on October 14th! I guess Youku will not allow Netflix to show anymore episodes for a few days so they can sell their express package.
So it is as I thought. Someone told me that Netflix aired TES on a daily basis eventhough Youku has 3 days break, which I did not know since I was on the express package.
I think it is fair that Netflix has the break too, so the express will sell. Youku and cctv own the drama afterall, not Netflix.

I was surprised when Netflix aired TES while the express was going on. They usually have a pause during the express. I know for sure The First Frost did not air any episodes for a several days when the express came out.
