I like how they tease each other with sly old fox and officer rabbit.🤣🥰 He also went with beauty and the beast to assure he he could be a monster too.🤣 Tonight was the proving ground to set up his nemesis. He has quite a history of destroying people. I had no clue his partner’s family was completely wiped out with the scheme. Wen even knew in advance but rather than warning everybody, he let things ride and promoted XinZhi to project manager to take the fall. The man really has no conscience.😡 Bu TianNa and Zhao Heng show up to network. Xu Chi and XinZhi will help with introductions. This will be the first time Bu TianNa makes her own contacts aside from the family. Zhao Heng runs into two college roomies that make it a point to mock his frugalness in front of their gf’s. Bu TianNa overhears and comes rescue him. She had her own way of putting them in their place and then told them to get out of her way so she could exit.🤣👏🏻 We still don’t have Zhao Heng’s backstory but he obviously came from a poor family and fought his way through the prejudice. He was happy and surprised she stood up for him. It was a new experience. I like these two.🥰 They suit each other nicely and have strengths complementary to the other’s weakness. They work nicely as a team and as a pair. Xin Zhi and Xu Chu start their plan with Wen. Here Xu Chi surprises him with her using astrological and behavioral info to feed into his expected traits and play up to them. She even through a tantrum at the guy to spur things on. She has hidden in the contract that if Wen’s digital artifacts drop below 70% of value, Morse will own them. XinZhi tells her how when they first met he saw a beautiful strong and capable woman that shone brightly.🥰 He still shies away from kiss initiating.🙄But he’s gaining ground getting closer to her and admiring her talents. She has the backstory of the crimes Wen got away with and is as determined as XinZhi to get justice. Du brings up a point he ponders. Du is chatting away like he does and surprised his friend so taken with and distracted by Xu Chi. He teases him about losing his edge. This is the first time XinZhi considers her surpassing him. It’s a daunting thought, but he wants her to do well and soar, accepting that she may just indeed surpass him. And here is where I wonder if Du sewed a seed of doubt making XinZhi wonder if she’d still be interested in him when that day comes and he is no longer her legend but just the man that loves her.
