Short, super-wholesome, and a good team in front of and behind the camera
Full disclosure: I normally don't watch variety shows but I watched this because Yeo Jin-goo is in it. But by the end I was charmed by all the participants in this cooperative reality show: Ha Jung-woo, Joo Ji-hoon, and MINHO too. There were a lot of touching moments of bromance as well as mentorship from the older actors (Jung-woo and Ji-hoon) to the younger ones. The crew also really set the cast up for success. When their initial ideas for the formula of, e.g., the variety show challenges didn't work out so well, they made changes on the fly and took lessons learned to get it to work out next time. Everyone had good humor and was flexible. You can tell everyone involved was trying to make it a good experience for each other (so different from American reality shows).
Also if you are a big fan of any of the cast members, you will learn a lot about them, their attitudes, and their histories from this show, so it's good to watch for that reason alone.
Brief yet Entertaining and Lighthearted Variety Show
Started watching this because I wanted to get to know Ju Ji Hoon more and boy was I satisfied. I thoroughly enjoyed this show. I love the chemistry of the cast and their interaction. It feels more raw, natural and truer to themselves. They were not trying to be funny and laugh every minute. I enjoyed and laughed along with their conversations.I am deeply impressed at Ju Ji Hoon's cooking skills. He is so reliable and he completely shifts to a different person when it comes to grocery, kitchen and cooking. I can definitely see why him and Ha Jung Woo bonds really well. They might come off as rude to some but I personally see it as just personalities that aren't afraid to speak their minds.
Minho was such a brave soul here. Impressed by his endurance in biking and bravery in bungee jumping. And Jin Goo was so adorable. He's soft-hearted, insightful and knows a lot of stuff.
It was also touching to read the stories from the senders. Glad to see they were able to travel thanks to the casts! And it was awesome seeing New Zealand. They really do have a lot of great activities to do that involves nature. I just feel like the show wasn't able to fully capture it's beauty and wonder. To be fair, I don't ever think pictures and videos would give justice to its beauty.
Overall, the show was enjoyable. You get to see the actors up close and how they adapt to different environment and you get to see a glimpse of NZs beauty.
