The Script/Synopsis/Concept is not exactly mind blowing, but the writer and director were able to flesh it out and mould the show into a memorable drama.
Non of the lost memories, time jump, yelling Ajummas, switched at birth, drunkenness, giving all your money to family members, subservient women, weak/feminine men, and other quirky Kdrama tropes.
The acting was great especially the female lead, she portrayed happy, sad, jealousy, anger, suspicion, crazy, so mart, decisive, friction with mom, loving nonna, and so on. It must have been a dream role for the actress.
Every actor & character got there moments to shine, all the main actors are stars in their own respective. The wardrobe was iconic and timeless, the main set (ML’s home) was so good it was an even a tourist attraction in Seoul.

100% Rewatch Worthy
I found this Kdrama back in 2018 and oh my god I am so glad I did! It was my first kdrama and since now it has always stuck with me and been my all time favourite no matter how many I’ve watched..I literally have a yearly tradition where I rewatch my love from the star again and it seriously never gets old.
And trust me when I say this, I normally can never stand old kdramas and this is my only exception.
Yes it’s cringy at times, yes there might be small loopholes and things that literally cannot make sense but I honestly think the acting and story make up for this and how story is carried out
(The slight unrealistic/ cringy acting especially from the Fl becomes endearing after some time haha, also considering the style of kdramas back then it’s not so bad)
I found the background storyline somewhat boring at times but it doesn’t take away from the chemistry of the main two leads
You literally find yourself rooting for them later on.
I highly recommend it

Excellent
This drama portrays romantic comedy in a new light. It is more than a romance between an alien and a human but is a mystery/crime show as well. As you watch to determine how the romance will play out, you are also intrigued by why the obviously socio-pathic character is killing people and whether or not he will be caught. The characters are realistic and funny, while not being campy and the outside scenery is beautiful whether reliving 400 years in the past or modern Seoul.
The drama is an analogy of trust. Each character has to learn to trust and be trusted. Also, to learn that there are those who no matter how much you love them can not be trusted.
From beginning to end, it is well worth watching. The writing, directing and cinematography all excellent which is a rarity for this type of Kdrama.

I'm pretty sure if CRINGE had a face, it would have looked like MY LOVE FROM STAR. Things are getting out of hand with the end of the second episode. I like why, why tf that alien went down to such an extreme, while the gravity of the situation was just mediocre. Maybe that's why I didn't give any star to acting, because there is only overacting, there is no such thing as acting exist out here.
More or less, when i started this, i knew its gonna be hard deal to sit through, but i overlooked by hunches and get started with it.

I'm sure it's good..
It was short-lived for me. I just didn't fall in love with it. I was quickly annoyed with the female lead's role. It's not her fault either. It's just written that way. When you see her character in the first episode, you might understand what I'm saying. I initially thought, wow, that's who gets the lead male--what a shame. Please don't let this detour you from watching! You may love every second of it. One day, I might come back to this series. I love the actor, Kim Soo-hyun! He's adorable. He actually is getting better with age as well. HOTT!UPDATE
I did go back to finish it. It ended bittersweet.

My love from the stars c'est vraiment fou Xd
