Light bl romance drama
So, this is my first time watching a BL kdrama. It is short and simple, but the story is interesting. I just wish they showed us more about their past relationships so that I could get to know more about how they fell in love with each other. But I'm not really satisfied with the reason why they separated because it is not deep for me. Well, maybe for Ha Yeon Woo I can still consider it. But for Seong Woo Jae, this can be solved easily if they have proper communication. They have good chemistry, though, but the kissing scenes are awkward for me.
I'm also hoping to see these two actors in another drama because their acting skills are also good.

Tingling slow burn romance - Gotta praise Jun.Q for his incredible acting
I really like the story, it got that melancholic feeling to it with slight comedy relief here and there. It's also a well written story, good understandable scenes and it make you want to keep going back for more due to the careful plot distribution for each episode. If you like slow-burn romance with little to no skinship, this is a great movie for you. I like it because of how simple it is, you might even have experienced something like this in your life. The conflict is simple but understandable, though I feel like the build up to the ending could be better but overall! A great series.I am surprised by the actors acting, especially Jun.Q (Woo Jae), while Han Jung Wan (Yeon Woo) is a bit on the okay side. Jun.Q did a great job portraying that longing but hating eyes, as if Woo Jae is holding himself from spilling too much of his emotion to Yeon Woo. His subtle expression and little details make it so heart wrenching in some scenes. Even without dialogue you know how Woo Jae feels and I think he's incredible for that. Jung Wan's eyes and expressions are a little bit dead but he's good somehow.
There are some technical mistakes (like a mic still attached to Jun.Q on the shot when he cried lmao, and the awkward rains), but the shots are incredible, the color grading, the scenery, the music! and also the wardrobe. I'm thankful that the boys are always looking handsome and well dressed throughout the movie. It's a movie that's pleasing to your eyes.
The only thing I want to change is the dead kissing scene, oh god please. The chemistry and tension between the lovers are only there for like 70% (with Jun.Q hard carrying it), the dead kissing scene only ruins the tension between them. These little things surely stop me from going fully immersed in the movie.

Different Story Line
It had a different story line. Held true to Korean BLs and was short and sweet...so the plot seems rushed but that doesn't bother me. I enjoy the quick story lines instead of a drawn out for 30-40 episode drama like the Chinese make. It also had the lip press instead of a real kiss but they can't all be passionate like MaxTul or MewGulf or sweet like Semantic Error or the Cherry Blossom (Tae Song and Hae Bom) kdrama.I Liked:
the parallel worlds plot
the location/views (beautiful)
the length of the episodes
the number of episodes
the director character's smile :-)
the delay in sharing the back story
Didn't Like:
the police scene...not realistic at all
the kiss scenes...lip press, don't waste the scene and just have a sweet hug

A Basic Wholesome BL Drama
I thought 'Individual Circumstances' was a basic wholesome BL drama. I think the drama wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible. The drama was so-so. The production value was basic and natural. The audio value wasn't the best. As in, it wasn't very clear and crisp. The actors' and actresses' voices were low at times. I could barely hear what they were saying at times. The plot was simple yet a little complex. The dialogue was basic, and that's it.The main actors and supporting actors' acting were basic and decent. Some of the supporting actors' acting was a bit awkward. The lead actors acting wasn't awkward but pretty natural. Moreover, Jun Q's acting was pretty realistic. Even though the drama was pretty serious, there were some lighthearted moments in the drama that made me laugh a little. The season finale was lovely and wholesome.

Forgettable but not the worst KBL
Someone in the comment section a while ago (jokingly?) guessed that this was a commercial for a camping car and I don't think it was entirely wrong. The concept of the series wasn't extraordinary, but it could have been more enjoyable if the execution had been better. In my opinion the start was a bit weak but it got gradually better in the following episodes. Sadly this improvement didn't last until the end. In a few days I assume I will have forgotten most of it. I reckon if the most memorable thing in the series was a beautiful scenery with an enormous tree, something went wrong.
There's a mix between the present timeline and the time they spent in college. It's a pity that I liked the college scenes more, because there were only a few.
Unfortunately the actors had zero chemistry. I loathed the high five in 2gether but if this is the alternative... sigh.
Neither the characters nor their motivations were convincing to me.
Also, in my opinion it felt really empty in the present timeline (Covid?), mostly two or three people interacting. The house looks like it could be out of a catalogue but I guess it fits the resident.
The music doesn't seem bad considering I didn't notice it at all.
I think to me it started with a 5, then it got a bit better and in the end we're back to a 5.

We want more than just "promising"!
Korean BL overall has the same 'flaw': Great story or concept, wickedly good acting some amazing chemistry, but they tend to disappoint every time when it comes to the actual romance part. This BL is no exception to that rule. I was fully engaged from ep 1 through 7 and ep. 8 was an enormous desillusion. Really?? Thats the way you kiss your re-kindled first love when you finally understand each other? Thats the way toddlers kiss when they play house, i'm not even kidding. It could have been so much better with just a few degrees more heat.I would have liked more story from the side characters, an explanation on the sweater and the how and when they started liking each other, but I would have been so happy with just one real kiss.

The actors are neither convinced nor convincing
Short BL series, but not very convincing. The narration shuttles between a past relationship, full of misunderstandings, and the current relationship where the CL tries to untie the knots.
The OSTs are excellent.
The narration is dynamic.
The biggest flaw of this series is the lack of chemistry. The actors look uncomfortable together and I'm not talking about the 3 fake kisses (⩾﹏⩽).
=> Rather disappointing experience...
**********************************************************************
=> Expérience plutôt décevante ...

An overall entertaining drama
This drama begins kind of slow and uneventful, but it doesn't take long to understand what Woo Jae is writing has everything to do with his past relationship with Yeon Woo. It takes awhile for the complete picture of what happened in the past and how it has effected both of them in the present time.I found it kind of interesting how the scenes are playing out between the man & women in the story being written, while you completely understand who each character is representing on screen.
It's definitely an original approach to a BL drama that I have seen. I thought the actors Joon Gyu & Jung Wan definitely clicked on screen together. It was a bit cold in the beginning, but most bl stories begin that way anyway.
Toward the end, they both gave great performances alone & with each other.
If you want a relaxing drama without too much to endure along the way, this one works.
The movie version is a much better way to enjoy it, rather than the short episodes with breaks.

Slow pace
Very slow pace, not slow burn mind you. Should've just make it 4 episodes packed, not 8.The kiss is awful, that dead fish type kiss.
At least they got sweet ending.
If you want to give this a go, try episode 1, 5, 7, 8.
That's it. Other episodes is just useless I think.

The chemistry between the leading actors.
I'm getting a bit fed up of many BLs as they are just silly and stupid. It's always more or less the same story lines with no chemistry between the two actors. We know a passionate kiss when we see one.We need BLs that are passionate love storys which
contain drama and hard hitting storylines.. All BLs pretty much follow the same generic formula. Schoolboy BLs are the worst. Most contain a tripping up scene where the one who catches the offender takes about a minute to look into ones eyes and feels the love or gets blindly drunk and taken to his bed to wake up and wants to know what's hes doing there. Don't get me started on giggling schoolgirls who have a melt down seeing two lads together. This was an OK series but they are turning out BLs by the hundreds.. It's not about the quantity but more about quality. There are many who probably love cheesy BLs but being more in the 40 years old range we need more dark BLs..
