Somehow Both Too Much and Too Little Happen
This show somehow has too much and tool little going on. Too many storylines, not enough context. I’ve watch both Witch movies and I could barely keep track of what was going on. Pacing is also really uneven. I do give huge props to Cha Seung Won and Jo Yoon Soo. Both were excellent in their roles.Final verdict: unless you’re really a completist for The Witch universe, this one is skippable.

The acting is fenomenal but not fully developed drama.
I was so looking towards the Tyrant as Seon Ho is one of my favorite actors. I think it would be better if they stick to the plan and made a movie as it is too sort for a drama and it did not fully developed the storyline. To be honest if they made a proper long drama it would be amazing as it has interesting storyline and the cast is on fire.The acting is just fenomenal!
It is shame that they did not take a time and properly edited the screens as it could be great movie.
Also I don't really see the point to add English to the drama.
For me it is waisted potential.

NOT AS GOOD AS IT HYPED!!!
As its a parent story of the witch all the expectation was goes is a vein. Undoubtly the actors are acted in this mini series versy well but the story is the main weak point. Story cant catch up the audience. The witch has more good story with more action sequence with relevant act but its not. I think it comes close to witch movie but it wasnt. Despite low rating i want to watch the serise because of good casting. Action should more relevent to the scene.without the drug within her she was a good assasin. but is the last min it reveals the orginal things. Tyrant should be more dangerous and more action scene should be provided with tyrant power to make the serise more remarkable and enjoyable.
Very disappointed about the story as it has very impressing casting.
In other word its "HOLLYWOOD'S VENOM"

Good Enough
Korean Short Drama '' The Tyrant '' is a mini-series that serves as a side story to the movie ' The Witch ' and it unfolds into its universe.The drama is indeed short, but it manages to handle its story nicely and it progresses smoothly.
Even though there were plenty of bloody scenes, the drama somehow didn't feel that disturbing, but everything fitted well with the atmosphere, the story, and the fighting scenes.
Still, another episode would have allowed the story to breathe and not feel that tight and compact. Or maybe they shouldn't have included that many characters.
Finally, the performances were all great by every actor and actress in the cast.
So, overall, seven out of ten.

Cosa ho guardato?
Non sono riuscita a farmi piacere questo drama. Adoravo il cast per cui ero felice di vederli ni quest'opera, ma niente è riuscito a salvare una storia senza capo né coda, che usa in modo delirante l'horror e la violenza. Non lo consiglio, se l'ho guardato fino in fondo, è stato solo perché mi domandavo dove volesse andare a parare e in effetti c'è un tentativo di spiegazione finale, ma per me è una spiegazione che non spiega niente. Nossa… eu terminei The Tyrant com aquele sentimento de “poderia ter sido muito mais”. A série tem uma premissa incrível, personagens fortes e um enredo que merecia muito mais tempo para ser desenvolvido. Só que, com tão poucos episódios para uma história tão longa e complexa, senti que alguns pontos importantes ficaram de fora ou foram corridos demais.Mesmo assim, não posso dizer que não gostei, pelo contrário, me prendeu do começo ao fim. O clima pesado, a forma como os personagens foram apresentados e a intensidade de algumas cenas realmente me marcaram. Eu só fiquei com a sensação de que poderia ter mergulhado mais fundo em cada detalhe, cada relação e cada consequência, sabe? Se tivesse tido mais episódios, teria sido um drama de impacto ainda maior.
No fim, valeu muito a pena assistir. Apesar das falhas e da pressa no desenvolvimento, eu gostei bastante e recomendo. Foi uma boa experiência, só fico com aquele gostinho de “quero mais”.
