We've lost the plot

I don’t even know where to start. Episode 15 feels like the writers completely lost the plot. The emotional buildup from previous episodes — especially the betrayal, the pettiness, and the broken trust between Qi Qi and Huan Er — just evaporates in a single, rushed scene. After everything Qi Qi did (let’s not forget how petty and cold she was to Huan Er over a boy!), how are we supposed to believe they’re suddenly besties again just because they bumped into each other at their old food spot? It makes no sense. Qi Qi spent episodes being cruel, jealous, and passive-aggressive toward Huan Er, and now all of that is forgotten with a few lines of nostalgic dialogue? There was no real apology, no emotional processing, no growth — just instant forgiveness for the sake of convenience. It's not just unrealistic, it's insulting to the viewers who were invested in their friendship arc. This episode completely undermines the tension and emotional complexity the series had been building. It feels lazy, like the writers were just trying to tie things up quickly rather than stay true to the characters. Honestly, I’m upset and disappointed. If this is the direction Always Home is going, I’m not sure I’ll stick around for much longer.
