If you loved the 1st season, you're gonna love this one too!

Don't expect too much! The 2nd season doesn't really offer more than the 1st, the casting is still good, the action is even better now, but the story is still average at best!

What I loved about the 1st season is missing from here, and that's the time period. Even tho, I loved the first season more, I think the second one deserve the same score, because it's not worst, it's just nothing new.

Honestly, when I first heard the new season will take place in the present, I already knew how it's gonna end and what's gonna happen, and I was right. From start to finish, it was predictable. This is like a typical Marvel movie, average, BUT enjoyable and fun, but you won't think about it too much after you finished it.

I think the big problem with the series is that they have a fascinating story with a meaningful message, but just like in every blockbuster movie, they don't really care about that, it's more about the action than the meaning behind the story. They talk about the importance of life and stuff, but don't really show it to us.

Sohee and Seojoon are still amazing, what you can see is an acting masterclass, but I'm not sure if this show can offer more.

Also, I didn't like the ending. I mean, if we will get a 3rd season, I don't get why they had to finish Chae Ok and Tae Sang's story like that, because it's obvious what's gonna happen to them in the next season.

Not to mention the cliffhanger. Honestly, I'm intrigued how they would handle a story like that, but after watching 2 seasons, I'm not sure if I want to see it with the same writer.

Anyway, like I said, if you liked the 1st season, the 2nd won't disappoint you, probably, but if you want more from a show than average with good action scenes, then you have to watch something else!

Same poor creature design, just more of them

There is some good cinematography and some decent neo noir shots, but there's really nothing spectacular in its storytelling, and yet they still have the nerves to continue this mediocrity for another season. It's basically the same fashion reuse again in a different setting, which has really poor context leading to those fight scenes, it's totally a waste of effort from all those talented actors, like we just had the amazing Parasyte: The Grey this year and then they showed us this, seriously.

Disappointment

I was completely disappointed after seeing the season-2. Story depth, build-up, details, explanation, motive more or less everything was lacking. Over predictable story. It seemed that they could have made it somehow and released it. After a while, I didn't understand where the black masked ninja was coming from. I don't know if they are monsters or people.
The only positive aspect is the fighting scenario .
The finish looked like another season might be on the way.
Personal rating: 5/10

SAME STORY, DIFF YEAR

As a geong seong creature Kdrama lover I'd highly admit that this season was a filler. A pure filler. There's nothing that made sense everything felt left out, stretched & extended. Was eagerly waiting for S2 but the disappointed is genuine. I absolutely love the main leads & their love story & was hoping to see more of it.
I feel like even the most side character in S1 for eg. the japanese artist, the tailor, the 3 people of the HOUSE OF GOLDEN TREASURE, Han so hee's father, lady Mayda's husband- had their own story. All characters were likeable & presentable. In S2 i still don't know who the oldest grandmaa was (which i thought was lady Mayda)?? Who's the police girl??? who's the new friend of tae sang rn??? who's this new disabled polio guy??? who's his Grandma??? who's the lil girl beside Lady Mayda's son? idk if she has a daughter??

i was so so disappointed by the plot. Heavily unnecessary!!
I feel like the best Kdrama are the once which leave you wanting for more but never release S2
eg. 25 21 (despite the ending viewer would still want S2 but it will just end up the essence 25 21 had) that's the reason why we shouldn't over exploit the story!!

The Fuck bro I could have written a much better story 😭😭😭
For all the people wondering whether to watch it or not- pls don't. Watch a summary on youtube. don't waste 4 hrs watching this.

Entertaining!

I really enjoyed both seasons and thought it was written well and wrapped up everything nicely. Interesting plot overall that I hadn't seen before in other shows. The actors were great! I don't have any complaints and it was worth watching in my opinion. If you like scifi/mystery, then you will enjoy this.

Need a third season

A worthy second season. Park Seo-Joon shined again. I love him in this role of Jang Tae-Sang. You can never have enough seasons of a series that you are excited about. But when the story is finished, you should accept this too. But here I think that this story isn't quite complete yet and needs a third and final season. We also wish the main characters a happy ending. Of course, there isn't always a happy ending. But these two Jang Tae-Sang and Yoon Chae- Ok are really wishful after going through all that. The end credits also give hope for a season 3. I can't imagine Jang Tae-Sang just accepting what Seung-Jo is up to. Or I just have to accept this ending

The First Rule of Fight Club is You Don't Talk About Fight Club

Not really my favorite type of Kdrama. But if you want to see Park Seo Joon get the s#@t beat out of him every other scene, then this is the drama for you. Same for Han So Hee. It was an action-packed fantasy thriller where the main star were the highly choreographed and graphic fight scenes. I rated this fairly high because I can appreciate the production value and the enormous amount of stunt work that had to go in to all the fight scenes. The acting was superb, The story line, both part 1 and 2 were well written, and the ending (the extra ending past the credits) was sublime. I was not expecting that at all! I also enjoyed seeing Kim Kang Min, a contestant on Physical 100, playing a guest role in it.

The only thing for me that I didn't like was all the fighting which came with lots of blood, and all the crunching and breaking sounds (kudos to the sound engineer). It was just too much. However, I realize it would not be the same without. it. It was a good Kdrama, just not my cup of tea. Out of the two parts, I enjoyed part one better. I enjoyed the historical sets and costumes. There also seemed to be more story than fighting. But, again, this is an action fantasy thriller, and it definitely lived up to that.

Another Disappointment

I thought I'd give this series another try, hoping that the team would do a better job this time. Episode 1 & 2 got me quite excited. I dropped this series after Episode 3. What's wrong with writers these days... Please don't insult your viewer intelligence time and times again. Would any sane person willing to make an appointment with an unknown sadistic serial killer in a desolate place without bringing any kind of weapon or camera to take footage for evidence? Also the said police that tailing them, where were they? Or does the writer thinks that South Korea have such an incompetent police department? Really writer? Really?

A História não dorme. Ela volta. E cobra.
