It was frustrating to watch
I was super excited to watch this series because I love Dew. Its basically a friends to lovers trope, Chadjen and Som-O have been friends for over 10 years and in high school, they became friends with Khao, New and Tao. Together they navigate the ups and downs of life. So let's get on with the review:Rating- 6.5/10
I know it had high viewership in Thailand during its airing but hear me out. Khao and New's relationship was my favorite in the whole drama because there was understanding and communication. Khao was with New through both of his recoveries. Khao supported New to pursue his dreams of being a game developer. New proposed in the best way possible and the wedding was the cutest. Tao liked Som-O amd he showed it through his actions. He traded medals for her banners(the cutest istg) and was there for her whenever she was at her lowest. I get that Som-O and Chadjen liked each other but Chadjen put 0 efforts in the relationship. He never really had any time for her. He didn't fight for their relationship. He made New and Khao's wedding all about himself, I hated that. I was disappointed I only watched till the end to support Dew, nothing more. Hope Dew has a better series next time.

después del excelente trabajo que gmm hizo con la adaptación de cherry magic, le tenía altas bastante expectativas a esta serie, la venía esperando desde que la anunciaron a inicios de 2023. la recompensa por haber esperado tanto: solo decepción. pudo haber tenido 10 episodios menos y habría sido lo mismo. agregaron demasiado relleno, subtramas innecesarias y la pareja principal simplemente tenía 0 química. en parte es culpa mía por haberle tenido tantas expectativas. le doy 4/10 porque en algunos momentos era tan cringe que daba gracia.Was this review helpful to you?
Absolutely worst remake
Ok, first of all, I watched the original a very long back but I do not remember it. I only remember the basic plot, but I also do remember enjoying it a lot. Comparatively, this was an absolute nightmare.Even otherwise, if I have to comment on it as an individual story, I would still recommend you not to watch it. Very badly executed

Sometimes there doesn't need to be a remake
As someone who has watched not only the original Chinese version but also the Korean version, I was looking forward to seeing what this one could bring to the table. And what it brought to the table is NOTHING. I had somewhat high hopes going into this drama since the two main leads were in F4 Thailand. And while they shone in that drama, here they were mediocre and boring to watch. The supposedly "romantic" scenes between them were awkward and painful to witness. The main actress had more natural chemistry with the second lead than she did with the main lead. This version took creative liberties and didn't really follow the original storyline. And while I have appreciated that in some adaptations, here it fell flat. The second lead couple carried this drama on their backs. And I only finished this drama for them and to conclude their story. Dew brought absolutely no life to his character, and watching him felt like watching a wet sock trying to act. And while the male lead is supposed to be a colder character, Dew's expressionless and lifeless acting made his scenes low-key unbearable. His crying scenes were unbelievable and made you feel no sympathy for his character. Not to mention the scene where he gives a speech to win Som-o back was utterly unwatchable. And while some of Prim's scenes weren't any better, she was still more enjoyable to see on screen than her male lead. In conclusion, this was an absolute mess of a drama and a waste of time. If you watched either the Chinese version or the Korean version then it is a time waste.
My first favorite is always the Chinese version. Furthermore, I liked the Korean version too because I ship the story. However, I didn't like the Thai version much. In terms of the story, direction, and acting, what I liked in the drama was the second lead couple, who were main leads friends and got married at the end. Overall, the drama was not good in many aspects. It seemed like the story was written in a hurry, which affected the direction and acting. As a result, the actors didn't give their best performances. I initially decided to watch the drama because I liked the male lead and was interested in the storyline, but it ended up disappointing me a lot.Was this review helpful to you?
The mc will drive you nuts
The story was cute! Som-O really annoyed me for most of the series to be honest, but I did like the relationship between her and Chadjen. Loved the friendship between the main crew. Cute series overall but you will probably be annoyed multiple times. I know some people had a problem with Dew's acting but I didn't mind it at all.Was this review helpful to you?
A failed adaption
The original inspiring coming-of-age story has been turned into artificial saccharine. While the original protagonists came from ordinary families, the Thai remake elevated them to middle-class status. The original heroine maintained strong agency throughout, always clear about her path. But her Thai counterpart obsessively chases the male lead - even applying to medical school just to follow him, with her exam preparations becoming mere fodder for love triangles. The second male lead even declares, 'I won this gold medal for you.' Countless such moments scream one truth: for these characters, romance trumps personal growthWas this review helpful to you?
How to waste a good story !
I really like the story and the original C-Drama. So I went to see what the Thai directors had done with it. But what a disappointment!Sorry, I didn't like this version at all; the C-Drama is so much better!!
The actors are handsome, sure, but they're NOT AT ALL convincing. Everything is superficial (including the fake kisses). The characters have no depth. And the bias of this version, with ML. unabble to say a word in his defense or to justify an absence/mistake/etc., is unbearable...
Just an advice to those who like the story: go to watch the original C-Drama!!

Les acteurs sont beaux, certes, mais ils ne sont pas DU TOUT convaincants. Tout est superficiel (y compris les fake kisses). Les personnages n'ont pas de profondeur. Et le parti pris de cette version, avec un ML incapable de dire un mot pour sa défense ou pour justifier une absence / erreur / etc., est insupportable ...
Un conseil à ceux qui aiment l'histoire : allez voir le C Drama original !!

Excellent Cast But Something Is Soooo Off
I first of all am so tired of doing bad or mediocre reviews and I adore so many GMMTV Series from BL to others but one thing I can't get behind is GMMTV Adaptations. In my opinion all of them suck so bad. Yet so many fans love and adore them (Im thrilled for those fans, I really am)I thought the streak of me hating GMMTV ADAPTATIONS would finally end with Cherry Magic and then the whole copyright issue happened and I chose not to VPN it so I never watched it and really don't want to anymore.
So A Love So Beautiful is a wonderful story and China and Korea did amazing at it in my opinion. And so I actually thought A Love So Beautiful would take the place of Cherry Magic as a GMMTV ADAPTATION I could stand. Plus it has DEW the only person I could stand in F4: THAILAND. And yet this version falls so flat for me. The story is just blah and it so hard to watch that I had to drop it.
I don't find fault with the ML or FL but I find fault with the story itself and the support cast seems so off yet I like the actors but their characters are just off.
As a rule I love different countries take on one another's material. I loved every version of Hana Yori Dango aka BOYS OVER FLOWERS/METEOR GARDEN except F4: THAILAND. And I cant wait for Thailand's Adaptation of ADDICTED HEROIN so it's gotta be GMMTV. Because yet another Adaptation they are currently doing is not doing it for me.

Same Plot as Chinese version
This show is so similar to like 5 other shows. Obviously it almost exactly follows the Chinese adaptation that came first with a few changes.The plot and story contents is exactly like Itazura na Kiss (Japanese), Playful kiss (Korean), Love at first kiss (Taiwanese movie), Kiss me (Thai).
Honestly I get these shows so confused in my brain because they are all the same and quite predictable. This makes it harder to enjoy if you've seen any of the others.
Casting wise I like the actors and I think they do a good job in their roles. I mean I like Dew and Prim a lot. Dew seems to play similar roles of being more quite and reserved so this role is great for him.
I like that supporting couple has more screen time than in other shows/movies rather than only focusing only on the Main couple which can get a bit boring.
Prim's wig is freaking atrocious like bro please at least give her a visible part to make it look somewhat real.
Some of the plot is kinda weird like how is Dew a top athlete and also going to be the school mascot?
I will wait to see if anything in this show will stand out from the rest.
