long ass thread of review
the jungle is one of those rare thai series that dares to go big—seven main characters, layered backstories, and a premise that feels larger than life. set against the backdrop of music, identity, and friendship, it’s ambitious and exciting, but also deeply emotional. while the series isn’t without flaws, its heart shines through—largely thanks to its stellar cast and production.nanon’s dual performance: nanfah and nanam
front and center is nanon korapat, who once again proves why he’s one of the most versatile actors of his generation. playing twin brothers nanfah and nanam, he gives each a distinct presence. nanfah is calm, introspective, and quietly burdened, while nanam is bold, lively, and reckless. what’s impressive is that nanon doesn’t rely on clichés to distinguish them—he shifts subtly through posture, expression, and energy. even in scenes where the twins share the screen, it never feels like “one actor playing two roles”—it feels like two completely different people. nanon’s nuanced performance anchors the series and makes the emotional stakes even stronger.
a cast that delivers
but the jungle doesn’t rest on nanon alone. the ensemble cast each bring something special to the story:
off jumpol as pine – the steady presence of the group. pine balances responsibility and heart, often playing mediator when tensions rise. off brings both warmth and humor, making pine instantly likeable.
krist perawat as hack – hack’s sharp edge hides layers of vulnerability. krist plays him with a rawness that makes you root for him even in his most flawed moments.
luke ishikawa as nathee – nathee carries an air of mystery and charisma, and luke gives him a charm that feels effortless. he adds a fresh energy that rounds out the group.
lee thanat as petai – petai is quick-witted and fiercely loyal, often bringing levity to the heavier scenes. lee makes him feel both funny and sincere, never letting him slip into comic relief alone.
mix sahaphap as hunter – hunter is thoughtful, emotional, and deeply grounded. mix pours quiet intensity into the role, making his moments some of the most heartfelt in the series.
together, the cast create a dynamic that feels both chaotic and intimate—like a group of people who’ve been through everything together, even if the show doesn’t always give enough space to show it.
what makes the series shine
aside from the performances, the jungle thrives in its soundtrack. every song feels like it was written for the story, echoing the characters’ journeys and emotions. the music isn’t just background—it’s storytelling in itself, carrying weight in moments where words fall short.
visually, the series is also stunning. the lighting and camerawork heighten the tension, while the quieter scenes are shot with intimacy that makes you feel like you’re right there with them.
where it stumbles
for all its strengths, the jungle suffers from one big problem: time. with only 16 episodes, it feels like there just isn’t enough space to fully explore the seven main characters. while we get glimpses of their backstories and struggles, many of them feel rushed or underdeveloped. the friendship at the heart of the group—the bond that makes them “the jungle”—never gets the focus it deserves. how they formed, why their bond is so unbreakable, and the depth of their loyalty is only hinted at, when it could’ve been one of the series’ strongest elements.
some pacing issues also emerge, where certain arcs feel crammed while others are stretched too thin. it’s not enough to ruin the experience, but it does leave you wishing for more—more episodes, more development, more time with these characters.
final thoughts
the jungle is ambitious, heartfelt, and carried by a powerhouse cast led by nanon korapat’s brilliant portrayal of twin brothers nanfah and nanam. off, krist, luke, lee, and mix each bring their characters to life with authenticity, creating a dynamic ensemble that feels real and raw. the soundtrack elevates the storytelling beautifully, weaving music into the very soul of the series. while 16 episodes weren’t nearly enough to cover such a wide scope—leaving some characters and the group’s friendship underexplored—the series still delivers a memorable mix of drama, music, and emotion. it may not be perfect, but it’s the kind of show that stays with you because of its heart.

Very Charming cast with flawed storyline
I am going to very honest and say it out here, in my opinion this show was carried by Nanon. The set up was very intriguing, a hidden bar with mysterious men offering a night of joy to women. Obviously they are playboys and handsome and also gentlemen in their own way. But the story for each character is not that engaging. My heart was taken by Naanfah and Naannam story and the mystery that was brought my Pine's pairing. I was not a fan of Hack and Irin or Florence or Nathee. Phetai's story could have been better because that pair had chemistry but they were very quickly wrapped up. But the bartender Hunter's presence is definitely very alluring, what disappoints but him is his very sad backstory. Actresses did a fine job but no one leaves a lasting impression except August.
Now the main reason to watch this is Nanon. I am soooo glad they put him in double role. Reminds me of Gun in Not Me. GMMTV know who their strongest actors are. And the way he play two characters well, you can recognise them easily by the way he carries each of them differently, expressions, smiles, way of walking talking and whole demeanour is masterfully done by Nanon. Both the brothers are kind of conman and liars and the way Nanon is using his smile is supposed to be illegal. Whenever he is on screen, he captures your attention over other characters.
Special mention to Mix and Off, because these two also did very well. I wish Mix had more backstory. But these two very also very convincing in their roles.
Watch this ! For gorgeous FLs and MLs, for charming bad boys falling in love and definitely for Nanon.

Sum up for all ML & FL
After watching the whole series, here are some review i would like to make for the couplesFlorence and Nathee
- not enough screen-time, wish that there is more scene for both of them
Nanfah and Pladao
- Pladao (Punpun) never appear in the end of the drama which i felt abit rushing in the end. Nanfah (Nannon) this character, in the beginning i feel like slapping him, but it turns out that he turn out to be a good lover so not bad.
August and Pine
- too draggy for last few ep. too much screen-time. like, Pine (Off) who love her, but don't wanna admit and want the best for her. then, August (Pat) also holding back which makes it too draggy (korean drama type)
Hunter and Emmy
- not enough screen-time also, which is a mystery for us
Nannam and Nithan
- i don't like Nithan (Mild)'s acting. feeling that these few years, her acting is not getting any better. or maybe its the character itself. As for Nannam (Nannon again) this character not truly bad. But both cast truly say no chemistry
Hack and Irin
- at the few ep, i just felt the Irin (Lookjun) just insist on getting herself onto Pine (Off). then the end ep, throwing herself to Hack (Krist). but Hack love her so, it makes a good couple afterall.
Phethai and Gale
- Phethai (Lee) and Gale (Mook) are basically old actors from my Dear Loser. Well, the chemistry is still there although they appear the in few front ep, its still a overall good acting as a couple.
*above is just a self thought conclusion for the couple in the whole series*

Welcome to Rendezvous
Ep. 8 -Nam and Fah
"I'm not you. You may think you love her so much to let her meet a better man. But for me, I love her so much that I want to be the best man for her.
Maybe it's because I don't love her as much as love myself.
Choosing to be with Nithan it's a way for me to love myself."
.................................................................................
Hunter to Irin
"If it takes this long to destroy a wall in someone's heart, moving on from him may be less painful."

The Jungle is something you must watch from Thailand
The story line was really good. They're really exciting. The story of every cast was wonderful. The thrill was perfect! Every cast was really awesome portraying their roles. Their acting was convincing they're a perfect pick for their portrayed roles. Made a perfect matchmaking of partners and loveteams for the lead roles. The soundtracks was also good. Showcasing the casts singing skills is also good idea to catch audience's heart.
If I were to be asked, I highly suggest to watch this Thai drama. The thrills and suspense are awesome. You'll loved the twists and the suspense.

MORE
It was really good. The actors and the story. I wished they did more into Hunters backstory and where it went at the end or he should of came and hang out with everyone else at the end. They need to make a season 2. But I would tell anyone to watch this show. Overall it is a amazing show even if it felt rushed and foggy at times. I would say Mix needs more airtime on his shows and on this. But everyone did a amazing job with the acting and the songs and story. I hope they get more shows together. Was this review helpful to you?

Was this review helpful to you?
