both FLs are smart, strong, calm, mature, and business-oriented. both MLs are government officials involved in military/defense. the leads' relationship in both dramas start off with distrust, but the leads slowly warm up to each other as they keep helping each other. their relationships are also steady and mature. blossom is more politics heavy and darker, while a dream of splendor focuses more on the livelihoods of three women.

Very similar with the palace and political conflicts. Both the male and female lead characters are or become righteous and influential with strong moral compasses. Both female leads may seem weak at first but they quickly change and become strong, quick thinking, decisive, and upright women. Both men show loyalty and bravery.
If you enjoy a well constructed plot and characters you can really root for; not just the leads but also many of the people surrounding them; then you will love both these series.

Both dramas highlight resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity. The protagonists of Flourished Peony and Blossom are faced with situations where they need to overcome personal and societal expectations. Whether it’s navigating the power dynamics in a royal setting or managing career and family pressure, both characters show determination in staying true to themselves. They share a focus on character-driven stories, emotional depth, and themes of self-discovery. The main difference lies in their setting—Flourished Peony offers a historical drama filled with political intrigue, while Blossom offers a more contemporary narrative grounded in personal ambition and relationships.

The drama tells the story of a fallen princess forced into a political marriage with a corrupt prime minister. She faces numerous dangers but strives to survive to protect herself amidst the conflicts of national loyalty, personal vengeance, and true love. Meanwhile, the prime minister, outwardly ambitious to become a treacherous official, secretly harbors a desire to serve his country, its people, and the world.
