Despite all the low reviews for this series, I genuinely rlly liked it. It definitely was all over the place sometimes and it might not have ended the way some people wanted but I genuinely loved the way it ended. It felt complete definitely had some questions and wanted to know about some of the characters in the end but it kept me on my seat the entire time and the chemistry between the whole cast was amazinggggg. The twist and turns I feel like are what made this series good(plus the bromance lmaooo) but I would recommend to watch before you judge based off the reviews!!! Ending yang tepat
Nohse akhirnya berteman baik dengan jaewon hingga eps terakhir dan meninggalkan semua hal buruk yang terjadi di sekolahnya. Jaewon sosok kakak kelas badboy yang bisa membantu nohse untuk memilih jalan yang lebih baik untuk hidupnya 🫶. Sayangnya, aku fikir nohse akan menjalin hubungan yang lebih dekat dengan jeong hui tapi ternyata hubungan mereka berhenti hanya sebagai teman biasa meskipun jeong hui menangisi kepergian nohse saat melepas kepergiaannya. Meskipun alurnya hanya mengangkat tentang pencalonan ketua osis dan proses kampanye, drama ini cukup dapat membuat ketegangan dalam setiap eps. Un cours de citoyenneté déguisé en drama scolaire...
Bon… je vais pas mentir, ce drama m’a laissée plutôt mitigée... 🤔 J’ai mis 5⭐️ parce que c’est pas mauvais, mais c’est pas bon non plus. En fait, j’ai surtout eu cette impression que je n’étais pas la cible 🤷🏼♀️"I Am a Running Mate", c’est clairement une critique du système sud-coréen, avec l'obsession de l’élitisme, les luttes de statut, la pression scolaire… mais tout ça vu à travers des ados 👨🎓👩🎓. Au final les élections dans le lycée deviennent le reflet des pires travers des adultes... entre coups bas, alliances foireuses, promesses en l’air. C’est presque flippant de voir à quel point les élèves reproduisent les mêmes schémas que les adultes... 😮💨📉
J’ai ressenti cette volonté de faire passer un message 🧠⚖️. J'ai senti le côté pédago-engagé à fond... J'étais en plein cours d’éducation civique scénarisé 😅. Et franchement, c’est peut-être pas déconnant 🤷🏼♀️, il y a cette vraie tentative de pousser à la réflexion, du style : Qui tu soutiens ? pourquoi ? est-ce que tu penses vraiment par toi-même ? 💬🗳
Pour mettre vie à tout ça, il y a Yang Won Dae, c’est un peu le candidat idéaliste. Il veut du changement, de la justice 💪🏻, mais très vite, on sens que la soif de pouvoir le rattrape, et il devient presque aussi manipulateur que les autres. Il garde son masque de mec droit, mais derrière… c’est pas si net 💼😶🌫️
En face, on a Kwak Sang Hyeon, lui, c’est le stratège froid 🥶. Il charismatique mais aussi très calculateur, il maîtrise les coulisses du pouvoir, la manipulation, les deals sous la table 👌🏻. Il représente la politique telle qu’elle est souvent montrée... corrompue, impitoyable, mais diablement efficace 🥺🧨
Et au milieu de tout ça, y’a No Se Hun. Le ML paumé, qui voulait juste passer l’année tranquille et qui se retrouve embarqué dans un truc beaucoup trop gros pour lui... Je l'ai trouvé touchant, il évolue doucement… et surtout, il m'a bien représenté 🤣, il est là, à observer, à douter, à se demander ce qui est juste ou pas 🫠 J'étais pareil... mais assise sur mon canapé 😅
Mais voilà… malgré tous ces éléments, j’ai jamais vraiment été à fond dedans 🤷🏼♀️. J'ai maté, j’ai compris le message, mais j’ai pas vibré non plus. Disons que ça reste intéressant à analyser, mais pas à binge d’un coup 😅
Côté casting, rien à dire 👌🏻. Les jeunes acteurs assurent, les rôles sont bien tenus, y’a pas de fausses notes, mais ça suffit pas à me faire monter la note plus haut…
Bref, c'est un drama à message BIEN ficelé, mais ce n'est pas pour moi... J’ai capté l’intention, mais je suis restée en dehors 🤷🏼♀️✌🏻

Mesmo sem alarde, orçamento robusto ou pretensão de ser o próximo fenômeno do mundo dorameiro, esse drama entrega exatamente aquilo que tantas superproduções tentam — e falham — alcançar: substância. Com uma narrativa precisa, quase didática, o roteiro costura lições de ciência política, antropologia e psicologia cognitiva com tamanha naturalidade que o espectador é fisgado sem perceber. E o mais surpreendente: até princípios elementares da democracia são expostos com clareza e propósito, sem cair no panfletarismo.Yoon Hyun-soo, que poderia facilmente ser engolido pela densidade temática, entrega uma performance segura e ajustada, brilhando nos momentos em que a trama exige nuance e contenção. O final, coerente e firme, fecha a narrativa com a mensagem que se impôs desde o início: a democracia, por mais imperfeita que seja, não tolera ser usada como cortina para interesses canalhas. E quando é, cobra. E cobra caro.
