Healing from Toxicity!
I love how short the series is. It means fast character progress without dragging.I admit I was really frustrated with Hira here. How he constantly said sorry, self depracating and esp hate how he worship Kiyoi like God. It just gets annoying at some point.
But, what's beautiful is exactly how Kiyoi has been supportive of Hira
I love how our rude Kiyoi in S1 has grown to become a man who is supportive of Hira, encouraging him to pursue his dream, taking the effort to cook for Hira despite not knowing how. I especially love how Kiyoi says "Don't look up to me but face me"
Its amazing watching Kiyoi grow, and thanks God..it doesn't come to a waste
I'm also proud by progress of Hira when he finally decided that he can be in the same spot with Kiyoi. That's a huge progress from where he was.
I appreciate how each character grows individually as well as a couple.
The relationship isn't perfect (but none is)! Given the context they started out in high school and it's their first love, I'd say cut them some slack before slapping this as toxic.
They are thriving and healing from the toxicity, that's what is important. Many relationship sometimes start out as healthy but also ends up as toxic.
What's important is that they are not falling deeper into more toxicity, but rather slowly coming out of it.
That's how healing work and I can't wait to see the movie now!

no growth whatsoever
they just rehash the same issues as the first season but double down even harder on the toxic parts. it feels like this show is almost gaslighting me to see really problematic behaviour as cute bc characters are in love. if anyone you know displays these issues, RUN! (but also if you feel as strongly as the lead does, please seek therapy bc you deserve so much better than that). there are some aspects that could work in this show but again they are overshadowed by……literally the worst type of relationship…..Was this review helpful to you?
Toxic and cringe
I really had high hopes for this drama and even forced myself to watch S2, thinking I'd get better but I didn't.Their relationship is super toxic and the way he views him as some kind of god and all really made me cringe a lot (the acting is on point when it comes to cringe behavior). They did had cute moments but I feel like they just kept walking in a circle, not talking and resulting them in unnecessary drama.
The ending is horrible as well, I feel like they didn't really resolved their problems and the ending rather felt rushed.
I really tried to like this show but it's just too toxic and cringe overall, I wouldn't recommend it, it's really not my cup of tea.

10/10 One of the best Japanese BLsyou don't just look for fluff while watching a series, this is for you.
Utsukushii kare is a beautiful journey that will make us realize a lot that we don't.
Even though I know a lot of people who did not really understand the depth that is portrayed in the series, I think it was very heartwarming and realistic.
Both the characters beautifully written and acted so so well.
The story will slowly grow on you and will make you dread for more from them, which I'm not sure about as this is adapted from a novel.
Acting 10/10 Story 10/10.

La vida hogareña que comparten Hira y Kiyoi se ve amenazada por problemas de comunicación, inseguridades y otras luchas internas que todavía no consiguen ganar.Generar un cambio en nuestra cosmovisión no es fácil y rápido, eso lo dejan claro en esta segunda temporada. Sin embargo, Kiyoi muestra una evolución impresionante en comparación a su fría e indiferente versión adolescente.
Durante cuatro episodios podemos disfrutar de un Kiyoi más amable y dulce. Es capaz de forjar relaciones simétricas con los demás, sin mirar sobre el hombro o ser deshonesto sobre sí mismo. Por supuesto, aún hay momentos en los que le da miedo su vulnerabilidad y reacciona a la defensiva, pero su crecimiento en innegable.
Respecto a Hira, puede provocar dolor de cabeza, aunque no sin fundamento. Desde que lo conocemos, sabemos sobre su falta de estima propia. En esta temporada mostraron constantemente cómo todos reconocen su talento, potencial y atractivo, excepto por la persona más importante: él mismo.
No dudo que este sea un tema presente también en la película, porque ser capaz de mirarte bajo un buen lente, como otros lo hacen, es muy complicado. Especialmente si no puedes reconocer cuál es el problema y eso sucede con Hira.
Mi cariño por la historia y los personajes terminó de afianzarse con esta temporada. Hay belleza en la complicada relación de Hira y Kiyoi, creada gracias a la buena dirección y actuaciones que tiene.
Otro detalle destacable: “Follow” y “Bitter”, las canciones de Roce para el soundtrack, que reflejan a la perfección las perspectivas de los protagonistas.

Я очень ждала второй сезон. Спасибо сценаристам за сохранение реалистичности персонажей и сюжета. Ребята которые выросли, но не изменились. Они вместе потихонечку растут, ищут правильный, а порой и нет, подходы к друг другу. Решают проблемы с самооценкой, смотреть и действовать сообща и поддерживая друг друга. Низкая самооценка нашего героя никуда не исчезла и это тоже реалистично, так как такое не исправить и не изменить в короткое время. Ему нужна помощь и его партнер начинает действовать и помогать двигаться дальше. Многие смотря наверное подумают - какой лайт. Я не соглашусь. Актеры проделали шикарную работу в показе своих героев. Их эмоций, болей, радости и любви. Мысли ребят, когда идет игра только лицом. Эта химия между героями. Отличная история и главное - не затянута, что очень важно. my beautiful man y yo, somos un mismo ser
SI, pongo 10 en todo porque simplemente amo esta historia y creo que la gente debería darse la oportunidad de conocer esta historia.Durante todo 2022 y 2023 estuve OBSESIONADA con my beautiful man, hice de esto mi personalidad (aunque simplemente abandoné la historia justo cuando salió está segunda temporada y la película, no se simplemente la dejé de lado por un buen rato) pero es increíble por eso volví a ella!!!
Odio q la gente diga que hira y kiyoi son tóxicos porque la realidad es que no es así, olvidan que son super jóvenes y además de lidiar con su relación, tienen personalidades diferentes y tienen sueños propios cada uno, pero realmente se aman mucho y tratan de entenderse.
Fue genial conocer esta historia pq incluso los mismos actores (riku y yusei) lograron cultivar una linda amistad después de este proyecto.
Nada más que agregar, my beautiful man es perfecta.

CONTINUAÇÃO DE UM CASAL PERFEITO
A primeira temporada foi impecável pra mim e a segunda temporada segue com o mesmo padrão de qualidade.Aqui vemos a intimidade construída entre Kiyoi e Hira, vemos como eles lidam em morar juntos tendo vidas e personalidades tão diferentes.
Eu amo como a essência se mantem a mesma mas aqui a gente vê mais claramente as inseguranças do Hira e a fragilidade do Kiyoi. É tão gostoso de acompanhar.
Eu amo muito eles.

MY BEAUTIFUL MAN 2
Adoro gli attori mi piace la storia tra di loro e come sono gelosi l'uno dell'altro e non lo vogliono dire e come si guardano fino dentro il profondo dove nessuno può andare. Come è stato il loro viaggio per arrivare a questo punto. Mi dispiace solo che sono poche puntate. La timidezza di Hira ma la paura di trovarsi un giorno ha vivere senza la presenza di Kiyoi, la gelosia di Kiyoi nei confronti di Hira ed anche la sua dolcezza quanto gli dice che lo ama e che non lo vuole perdere. Sono carini quanto Kiyoi chiede a Hira di imboccarlo e lui gli passa le bacchetteWas this review helpful to you?
