The Emperor sees through the deception, having complete faith in Yan Xi. In return, Yan Xi swears true fealty to the Emperor and becomes head of the Security Bureau. His first task to imprison the remaining male Hua family members and to confiscate Hua mansion. The women and children are expelled to live outside of the city in an old decrepit mansion. Who is that masked man

What a meany. The women and children are on their own now living in the summer house by the river. They have no beds or blankets but plenty of books.

The Library

Closing down and confiscating the Hua family resident -- men imprisoned and women exiled out of the City -- what a scene grandfather taken away in chains and grandmother holding it all together ---- all chaos breaks out as the women are packing up to leave... Hua Zhi heads straight to the Library to pack her grandfather's books and private writings...
