Xiao Sheng gets in trouble with the Silver Rain Terrace but is saved by Master Zhuo and Shangguan Zhi. Shangguan Zhi makes it clear to Master Zhuo that she only sees him as her friend and nothing more. Pan Yue gets a lead on the Ripple pattern and begins investigating the old Ghost Fire case. After hearing an old rhyme that Cai Wei used to recite to him, he realizes that Shangguan Zhi is Cai Wei and quickly goes to her. (Source: frankly at kisskh)

The Case of the Blind Men in the Ghost Smoke Forest.

An important point in episode 17 was her saying: I want to solve the case so I can be Yan Cai Wei again). Bai Xiao Sheng opens his heart and tells her life story to Zhuo Lan Jiang. Qing Di, the woman who is one of the 4 powerful people in Heyan City, looks more like a puppeteer (her dialogue reveals this). Pan Yue is just a piece on her chessboard. What was that handkerchief in her hand? Ze has a hard time bringing the stubborn Pan Yue to the woman he loves. The Case of the Blind Men in the Ghost Smoke Forest. Yan Cai Wei tells her suitor not to insist on flirting (is there someone else in her heart?). Who would use witchcraft in this police case? A song that calms the monsters to make Pan Yue remove the blindfold from his eyes and notice someone.

The Running Man

Finally, a light bulb goes on when he hears the children singing Caiwei's little ditty. The case still needs solving and the other suitor needs to find himself a new love challenge.
